Former Ohio State commit puts Notre Dame in his top group

The Irish are squarely in the mix for the star receiver

As soon as [autotag]Jayvan Boggs[/autotag] decommitted from Ohio State, the connection to Notre Dame football began.

It was confirmed on Wednesday evening, as Boggs released his top 7 schools with the Irish making the cut along with Florida, Georgia, Missouri, UCF, USC and Texas. The 6-foot and 188-pound Florida native is viewed as one of the top players in the country, ranking as the No. 193 overall prospect and 23rd receiver according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Irish aren’t one of the few schools that Boggs has already set up official visits to, but if they are to receive one, he could eventually land in South Bend.

Notre Dame currently has 19 total commits in the 2025 class, with three other receivers commited in Jerome Bettis Jr., Elijah Burress and Shaun Terry.

Notre Dame football is the latest offer for 2026 Maryland cornerback

The Irish enter the mix for the talented corner

It has been a bit quiet on the offer front for Notre Dame football, but that changed a bit on Monday afternoon.

The Irish held another camp and following the play, gave a scholarship to 2026 Maryland cornerback [autotag]Khary Adams[/autotag]. At 6-foot, 2-inches and 175-pounds, he fits the mold that Notre Dame looks for in its secondary.

Adams is a very good prospect, as he ranks as the nation’s No. 209 overall player and 16th cornerback according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. With Notre Dame joining the fold, it now makes 10 offers for him, as he continues to perform well at camps across the country.

The Irish already have two commitment in the 2026 cycle, as wide receiver Dylan Faison and quarterback Noah Grubbs are the pair.

Notre Dame football receives crystal ball pick for 2026 safety Joey O’Brien

The Irish are looking good with the Pennsylvania safety

Notre Dame football currently has two commitments for its 2026 recruiting class, quarterback Noah Grubbs and wide receiver Dylan Faison.

If 247Sports insider Tom Loy is correct, they could be adding safety Joey O’Brien in the near future. The former Irish reporter, who now hold a national title, still has great connections with the program and felt strongly enough to put in a crystal ball pick for the 6-foot, 3-inch and 180-pound safety.

O’Brien is ranked as the nations No. 99 overall prospect and 8th ranked athlete according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but most likely won’t play offense at the next level.

Loy got the feeling over this past weekend from talking to O’Brien that Notre Dame is the leader in his recruitment and continued to believe that was the case. Hopefully he is right.

There’s still smoke surrounding Notre Dame QB commit Deuce Knight and Ole Miss

This recruitment will go down to the wire

The rollercoaster of recruiting is starting to hit Notre Dame football and its 2025 quarterback commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag].

The Mississippi native is coming off a weekend where he dominated the completion at the OT7 Championships, falling just short of a title but taking him MVP honors.

As we have seen previously, there has been some smoke surrounding Knight’s home state school Ole Miss. On Wednesday, 247Sports recruiting insider Tom Loy reiterated those sentiments, saying “there’s absolutely smoke to Ole Miss and Deuce Knight.” He claims that the Rebels really want him in their class.

Many of us don’t believe the chatter, especially considering Knight continues to recruit for the Irish along with multiple visits to South Bend.

There is no doubt in my mind that this recruitment will go on until Knight signs with a school. The hope is that he stays with his Notre Dame pledge.

Deuce Knight wants to see this prospect join Notre Dame’s recruiting class

Will Knight get his wish?

This era of recruiting is so much different with the explosion of social media and Notre Dame football has made the adjustment.

Over the past few years, the program’s social media team has crushed it with amazing graphics and videos, but its efforts don’t end there. Players aren’t afraid to speak their mind about who they want to join up with at the next level, and the Irish’s 2025 quarterback commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] did just that on Monday night.

Fresh off an MVP performance at the OT7 Tournament, Knight jumped online to do a little public recruiting of one of his teammates in the event. 2026 wide receiver [autotag]Tristen Keys[/autotag] is Knights next target.

Keys is a very good prospect. He ranked as the nation’s No. 125 overall player and No. 17 wide receiver on the 247Sports composite. The issue is he doesn’t have an Irish offer at the moment, but if it were up to Knight, he would.

Notre Dame football offers its first 2028 prospect

An extremely early Irish offer

It’s never too early in recruiting, and Notre Dame football just proved that point on Monday evening.

The Irish offered class of 2028 California star athlete [autotag]Marcus Fakatou[/autotag] a scholarship. You may be wondering how player so young is gaining Notre Dame’s interest, but the answer if fairly simple, you can’t teach size.

Already standing 6-foot, 7-inches and weighing 255-pounds, Fakatou has an extremely projectable frame for someone his age. The Irish offer now makes it 8 total offers that he has collected, making him a unique prospect.

Obviously its very early in his recruitment, but Notre Dame’s coaching staff wanted Fakatou to know that he is on its radar and will be recruiting him over the next few years.

Fakatou earned his offer during the Irish’s evaluation camp on Monday. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment plays out, but Notre Dame is now involved.

Tom Loy explains his crystal ball pick for DL Elijah Golden to Notre Dame

It seems like the Irish have everything Golden is looking for

Last week we found out that 247Sports insider Tom Loy believed that Notre Dame football was the leader in 2026 defensive lineman [autotag]Elijah Golden[/autotag]’s recruitment.

On Monday, the national college football recruiting analyst went into more detail (subscription required) on his crystal ball pick. Loy went on to say that Golden “loves everything about the program, the schoo, head coach Marcus Freeman, and defensive line coach Al Washington.”

There is one school that he believes also had a very legit shot at this moment to contend with the Irish, Ohio State. It’s never easy to lure a Florida prospect up North, but Notre Dame has a great chance to do so.

Golden is viewed as a 4-star prospect, the No. 160 overall recruit and 17th rated defensive lineman according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Notre Dame football trending for 2025 4-star California linebacker Madden Faraimo

This would be a huge addition for the Irish

This weekend was the first that Notre Dame football held official recruits, and it looks like they did a fantastic job.

One of those prospects on campus was 2025 California linebacker [autotag]Madden Faraimo[/autotag], a 6-foot, 3-inch and 220-pound star. The Irish coaching staff has made him a priority, especially considering they don’t have much room to add more commitments in the class as they already have 21 total verbals.

Faraimo, who is ranked as the nations No. 63 overall prospect and 7th rated linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite, still has other visits planned, with Ohio State and Texas up next. The hope is that his visit to South Bend sealed the deal.

Coupled with the news that Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng also having a great visit, Notre Dame could very well close out the class with two big-time linebacker prospects.

Notre Dame QB commit Deuce Knight takes home MVP honors at OT7

What a huge weekend for Knight! Congrats!

It’s safe to say that Notre Dame football’s 2025 quarterback commit [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] is living up to expectations.

He might even be exceeding them. This weekend the Irish verbal particated in the OT7 tournament, and took home On3’s MVP. Although Knight was unable to lead his team to a championship, they feel in the title game, what he did all weekend was enough to put him at the top of a very impressive group.

There were multiple nationally renown prospects who took part in the event, but none of them could overtake Knight to win the MVP award. It should not surprise anyone if his recruiting ranking, No. 51 overall according to the 247Sports Composite, rises when the next update takes place.

The Irish are currently in a battle with Ole Miss to keep Knight’s commitment, so that is definitely something to keep an eye on.

Notre Dame target Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng has a great official visit

Is good news on the way for the Irish?

One of Notre Dame football’s top 2025 targets is extremely familiar with the program.

[autotag]Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng[/autotag], brother of [autotag]Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah[/autotag], took his official visit to South Bend this weekend. The two siblings were on campus together and there was an extremely interesting development following the trip.

On3’s Kyle Kelly is reporting that NOB could be moving up his commitment timeframe, and that should be viewed as extremely positive news for the Irish. At 6-foot, 1-inch and 205-pounds, he’s ranked as the nations No. 75 overall prospect and 9th ranked linebacker according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Notre Dame currently has one other linebacker commit for the class, Ko’o Kia.

Owusu-Boateng would be a massive addition to the Irish class. Hopefully the visit continues to resonate for him and he eventually commits to Notre Dame.
