Washington’s plus-26 goal differential is second-best in the NHL, while Anaheim is minus-nine. The Caps also have the analytical edge with the better rates of Corsi (percentage of all shot attempts), scoring chances and PDO (shooting percentage plus save percentage) at 5-on-5.

The Devils have lost three straight games while being outscored 15-4. The Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 in overtime on the road Thursday, snapping a three-game losing skid of their own. The DEVILS (-133) are just 4-7-4 on home ice, but they’ve been off since Tuesday. The rest is a significant advantage against a Blackhawks team with a 4-5-3 road record.

The two teams are close by Corsi (percentage of total shot attempts) and scoring chances at 5-on-5, but the ‘Hawks have the edge in PDO (save percentage plus shooting percentage). Lean to the Devils, who look for their first win under interim head coach Alain Nasreddine.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The BLACKHAWKS (+1.5, -238) will keep this close, if not win outright. A $10 bet on the spread for the Blackhawks to either lose by a single goal or win straight up returns a profit of just $4.20, but it does hedge against the pick of the Devils on the moneyline.

The PREDATORS (-120) are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Florida Panthers Saturday and return to Bridgestone Arena with a 7-5-3 home record. The Lightning dropped their last three games, each by a single goal. They’re 6-5-2 away from home.

Nashville is tied for fifth in the NHL with 33.9 shots on goal per game and it outshoots the opposition by 5.2 SOG per game. The Lightning are outshot by 1.3 SOG per game

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

AVOID the spread. The Lightning (+1.5, -278) are 10-14 against the spread overall and 5-8 ATS on the road while the Predators are 10-16 ATS overall and just 5-10 at home. Tampa Bay has been staying close in losses and will likely lose by just one goal, but the odds aren’t worth the risk with a $10 bet returning a profit of just $3.60.

The Predators (-1.5, +220) offer a nice return if able to win by two or more goals, but they’ve done so just twice in their last 11 games.

Over/Under (O/U)

The UNDER 6.5 (-154) is the play but the number is likely to drop to an even six goals or 5.5 closer to game time. Rinne is coming off a shutout victory and the Predators were blanked in their more recent outing. Expect better from Vasilevskiy and this one easily falls short of the number.

Philly wins this rather handily, but our value will lie on the spread with a $10 moneyline bet returning a profit of just $3.50. It’s too much chalk to eat the day after Thanksgiving.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

Get plus-money with the FLYERS (-1.5, +100) to win by two or more goals. The Red Wings are 12-15 against the puck line and 7-7 on the road, and the Flyers are 14-11 overall and 7-5 at home. Each of the Red Wings’ last three losses were by margins of at least two goals, including Bernier’s last start Saturday, Nov. 23.

The Lightning (-167) are 6-2-1 on home ice and have won three straight games by margins of at least two goals, but the Blues are getting too much disrespect with these odds.

Both teams are being outshot by an average of two shots per game. The Blues play to a slower pace with fewer shots and goals for and against. Both teams average less than 50% of the total shot attempts at 5-on-5. Binnington has outplayed the reigning Vezina Trophy winner thus far this season, and he makes the Blues the play with the opportunity to turn a $10 bet into a $14 profit.

The Predators won Saturday’s head-to-head meeting in St. Louis by a 4-2 count with backup Juuse Saros between the pipes. Nashville RW Viktor Arvidsson (lower body) was lost for four-to-six weeks in the victory. The Preds return home with a 6-5-2 record at Bridgestone Arena. The Blues are 7-2-2 on the road.

The PREDATORS (-133) are now favored at home after winning as road underdogs Saturday. They’re a strong choice to make it two in a row even without Arvidsson. The Blues (+110) remain without RW Vladimir Tarasenko (shoulder) and RW Alexander Steen (ankle), and they lost D Robert Bortuzzo to suspension as a result of the hit on Arvidsson.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The loss of Arvidsson will negatively impact the Predators’ offense for at least the next few games as they adapt to life without him in the lineup. Six of their last seven victories came by margins of at least two goals, but they won’t be able to separate as well without one of their top goal scorers.

The Panthers are coming off of a 4-2 loss at Carolina on Saturday. The defeat snapped a three-game winning streak. The Sabres have been off since taking a 3-2 loss at the Boston Bruins on Thursday. They’ve lost three straight and nine of their last 10 games dating back to Oct. 28.

Florida is 6-2-2 at home while Buffalo enters Sunday with a 4-6-1 road record. The SABRES +125 is the play as the club comes in rested. Buffalo will be able to take advantage of a tired Panthers squad. The two sides last met Oct. 11, with the Sabres taking a 3-2 shootout victory at home.
