Broncos WR Marvin Mims invited to 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Broncos WR Marvin Mims has been invited to attend the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims has been invited to the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Mims is one of 45 rookies invited and the only Broncos player on the list.

The event will be held from May 18-21, after rookie minicamp (May 12-14) and just before the start of organized team activities (May 23-25), so Mims should be able to attend.

The rookie premiere “provides partners with unmatched access to 40 of the NFL’s newest stars at their first major business and marketing event following the NFL draft,” according to the NFLPA’s website.

“This is one of the most valuable opportunities available to NFLPA partners because it’s the first time to connect directly with professional football’s most promising and marketable young players — all in one place — and build content and relationships that extend into the season and beyond.”

Mims was picked by the Broncos in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft after totaling 2,433 yards from scrimmage and scoring 20 touchdowns in three seasons at Oklahoma.

Jaguars’ Tank Bigsby to attend NFLPA Rookie Premiere

The Jaguars’ Tank Bigsby is one of 45 draftees set to participate in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.

Jacksonville Jaguars third-round pick Tank Bigsby is one of 45 draftees set to attend the NFL Players Association’s annual Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles.

The event — which is set to happen May 18-21 — almost exclusively features rookies at skill positions. Top 10 picks Jalen Carter, Tyree Wilson, and Will Anderson Jr. are the only players set to attend the event who don’t play quarterback, running back, wide receiver, or tight end.

The rookie premiere is a marketing event that connects rookies with brands to kick start the endorsement side of their professional sports career. A highlight of the event is that players in attendance are typically the first to wear their new team’s full uniform for photo shoots.

Bigsby was drafted with the No. 88 overall pick by the Jaguars and is set to compete for touches in a crowded backfield that also features Travis Etienne Jr., D’Ernest Johnson, and JaMycal Hasty.

During his time as a member of the Auburn Tigers, Bigsby earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2020 and finished his collegiate career with 3,351 total yards from scrimmage and 25 touchdowns.

RB Isaiah Spiller makes first appearance in full Chargers uniform

Check out the Los Angeles Chargers’ fourth-round pick in full uniform.

Last Saturday, May 21, the NFLPA held its Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, CA. The event provided football fans with their first look at some of the 2022 NFL draft’s popular prospects in the uniforms of their new teams.

For the Chargers, it wasn’t their first-round pick, guard Zion Johnson. Instead, it was the fourth-round selection, running back Isaiah Spiller, who represented the Bolts at the event.

Check him out below, donning the infamous powder blue jersey that features his number 28 and the gold pants.

This summer, Spiller will compete with Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree for the No. 2 running back spot.

Should he come out on top, Spiller would be an ideal complement to Austin Ekeler, as he possesses the vision, change-of-direction, and toughness to win on the ground and the receiving upside to make an impact early on in his pro career.

See it: Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson at 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson was the only Giant to attend the 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Every year, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) holds the Rookie Premiere. The event grants NFLPA partners with access to 40 of the top rookies in the league, the first major business and marketing event experienced by the new draftees.

This year, New York Giants rookie Wan’Dale Robinson attended the event.

Robinson, a second-round pick out of Kentucky, began his collegiate career at Nebraska but transferred to Kentucky for the 2021 season to be closer to his hometown of Frankfort.

One of Robinson’s biggest strengths is his vision on the field. His ability to make defenders miss and find an open spot on the field to catch the ball make him an asset on the field. After the Rookie Premiere, that vision may make him an asset in other areas of life.

Robinson already told Giants fans that he will do whatever it takes on the field, and he’s known as a “gadget-guy” who can do just about anything on the field.

“Whatever they want me to do, whether that be run the ball, catch the ball, catch a bunch of screens, sweeps, whatever they ask me to do, I’ll be able to do it. That’s just what I want to do,” Robinson told reporters last week.

If Robinson can truly do anything he’s asked to do, the Giants gained a serious asset in the 2022 NFL draft.

Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux and Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal were both drafted higher than Robinson but did not attend the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

NFLPA Rookie Premiere provides first look at Eagles’ QB Carson Strong

NFLPA Rookie Premiere provides first look at Philadelphia Eagles rookie QB Carson Strong

The NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere provided a first look at a Philadelphia Eagles rookie getting his first taste of life off of the field.

Philadelphia had five players selected in April’s NFL draft, but big named stars like defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean stayed home, while undrafted free agent Carson Strong represented the Eagles.

The NFLPA describes the annual event as the “first major business and marketing event following the NFL Draft” and “one of the most valuable opportunities available to NFLPA partners.”

“It’s the first time to connect directly with professional football’s most promising and marketable young players–all in one place—and build content and relationships that extend into the season and beyond.”

Previous Eagles draft picks such as Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews, Carson Wentz, Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and DeVonta Smith, attended the event.

Starting its 27th year, NFLPA Rookie Premiere presented by Panini America has represented a rite of passage for many of the game’s most marketable rookie stars to learn the business of football and jumpstart their endorsement careers before training camp.

The fact that Philadelphia sent Strong as an undrafted player should give some insight into how high the organization is on his potential to develop as a talented backup quarterback or maybe even more.

Aidan Hutchinson, Jameson Williams honored on Rookie Premiere list

Lions draft picks Aidan Hutchinson, Jameson Williams honored on the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere list

Every year a select group of rookie draft picks is selected by trading card company Panini to appear in a special set called the Rookie Premiere. This year’s Rookie Premiere will feature the first two Detroit Lions draft picks in 2022.

Both DE Aidan Hutchinson and WR Jameson Williams will be among the featured rookies. It’s done in conjunction with the NFLPA, which helps select the players involved and sets up additional exposure for what it deems the most marketable members of the rookie class. From the NFLPA’s press release,

Following two years of virtual engagement, 42 top rookies from the 2022 NFL Draft will again gather in Los Angeles on May 19-21 to learn the business of football and jumpstart endorsement careers at the 28th annual NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Rookie Premiere presented by Panini America, the exclusive trading card partner of the NFLPA. Hosted by the NFLPA and its marketing and licensing arm, NFL Players Inc., the annual event for many of the game’s marketable rookie stars will feature the unveiling of each rookie’s official jersey presented by Fanatics and Saturday’s all-day live action and studio shoot for Panini trading cards.

Many NFL sponsors will be on hand to check out the rookies for potential business deals as well. It’s a great exposure opportunity for Hutchinson and Williams.

LOOK: Chargers’ Justin Herbert, Joshua Kelley’s 2020 NFLPA rookie card revealed

Here is a glimpse of what Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and running back Joshua Kelley will look like supporting the new uniforms.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere was cancelled. However, one of their partners made sure to reveal what a handful of rookies will look like with their new teams.

Panini America, which is the exclusive trading card licensee of the NFL and NFLPA, unveiled 42 rookies in their new threads that they will be wearing this upcoming season.

Among the crop of first-year players named to the 2020 Rookie Premiere Class was Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and running back Joshua Kelley.

The card art for both players can be found below:

Typically, the event offers first-year players their first major business and marketing event following. It’s the first time for many companies to connect directly with the rookies all in one place and build relationships.

What do you all think? I think Herbert and Kelley look solid, especially in the team’s new uniforms that will be worn starting in 2020.
