Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks odds and lines: Broncos huge road favorites

Looking at Saturday’s Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks preseason game with NFL betting odds and lines.

The Denver Broncos will be on the road Saturday night when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in the second week of the preseason. Kickoff is set for 10 p.m. ET at Lumen Field in Seattle. Below, we look at the Broncos at Seahawks odds and lines.

The Broncos crushed the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason opener 33-6. QBs Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock both played well, with Bridgewater throwing for 74 yards and a touchdown on only eight attempts, and Lock totaling 151 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.

The Seahawks were beaten by the Raiders, 20-7, Saturday night with the offense being led by QBs Sean Mannion, Alex McGough and Geno Smith. The offense struggled without Russell Wilson under center with the running backs finding it difficult to pick up yards also.

The Broncos are heavy favorites in this game coming in at -280 on the money line. A $10 bet on the Broncos to win outright would return a profit of only $3.57, whereas a $10 bet on the Seahawks would net $22.00 if they were to win.

The Broncos are favored by 6.5 points. For them to cover the spread, they must win by at least seven points. A $10 bet on the Broncos to cover would return a profit of $9.52. If the Seahawks win or lose by six or fewer points, they will cover the spread, with a $10 bet paying out $8.70 in profit.

The Over/Under is set at 37.5 points. For the Over to hit, the teams would need to combine for at least 38 points, which would pay out $9.09 in profit on a $10 wager. The Under requires them to combine for 37 or fewer points with that same $9.09 profit.

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams odds and lines: Raiders favored on the road

Looking at Saturday’s Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams preseason game with NFL betting odds and lines.

The Las Vegas Raiders will head west to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 of the preseason. Kickoff is set for Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium. Below, we look at the Raiders at Rams odds and lines.

The Raiders were big winners in their preseason opener, beating the Seattle Seahawks 20-7 on Saturday. RB Trey Ragas led the way with 62 yards rushing and a touchdown, while QB Nathan Peterman threw for 246 yards as the team’s only contributor at quarterback.

The Rams fell to the Chargers last week, a lackluster 13-6 defeat at SoFi Stadium. The defense played fairly well, holding the Chargers to 259 total yards, but the offense only mustered 197 yards itself and scored just one touchdown. With the Rams resting their starters this preseason, not much can be expected in these exhibition games.

As 4.5-point favorites, the Raiders must win by at least five points in order to cover the spread. A $10 wager on the Raiders to cover would return a profit of $8.70. A $10 bet on the Raiders money line would pay out $5 in profit if Las Vegas wins outright.

The Rams are getting 4.5 points from the Raiders, which means they need to win or lose by four points or fewer to cover the spread. A $10 bet on the Rams to cover pays out $9.52. If you bet $10 on the Rams money line and they win outright, it would return $16.00.

With the Over/Under set at 35.5 points, a total score of 36 points or more would be a win for the Over, or less than 36 points would be a win for the Under. A $10 bet on the Under wins a profit of $8.70, and an Over win returns a profit of $9.52.

New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles odds and lines: Eagles open as short dogs

Looking at the odds and lines for Thursday’s New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles NFL preseason game.

The New England Patriots (1-0)and Philadelphia Eagles (0-1) kick off the second week of the preseason Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field. Below, we look at the Patriots at Eagles odds and lines.

The quarterback situation for New England didn’t get any clearer in its preseason-opening victory over the Washington Football Team. Cam Newton was 4-for-7 for 49 yards while rookie Mac Jones was 13-for-19 for 87 yards; neither QB tossed a touchdown or an interception. Expect to see more of both signal-callers this week.

RB Rhamondre Stevenson was the real highlight for the Patriots with 127 yards on 10 carries for 2 touchdowns. Eyes will surely be on the rookie to see if a second impressive performance is in the cards.

The Eagles were without rookie WR DeVonta Smith in their opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that appears likely to be the case for their first-round draft pick in Week 2 as well. Philadelphia used a heavy dose of backup QB Joe Flacco in its opener and is likely to do the same this week as they limit starting QB Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles gave up the second-most yards of any team in Week 1 of the preseason with 410 and will be looking to tighten things up against a Patriots offense that has yet to truly find its identity.

The Patriots, at -125 odds, or 4/5 fractional odds, have an implied 55.56% chance of winning. If the Patriots win by 2 or more points, a Patriots -1.5 (-115) ATS bet wins.

The Eagles (+100) have an implied 50.00% win probability against the Patriots. This can also be expressed as 1/1 fractional odds. Philadelphia must win outright, tie, or lose by no more than 1 point for an Eagles +1.5 (-105) ATS ticket to cash.

There would need to be a combined 38 points scored Thursday for an OVER 37.5 (-105) ticket to cash, while a combined point total of 37 or fewer points is a win for the Under.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles odds and lines: Eyes on QB Jalen Hurts to win starting job

Looking at Thursday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles NFL preseason odds and lines.

The Pittsburgh Steelers already picked up a preseason win last week in the Hall of Fame Game but held out virtually any player of consequence from the game. They will face the Philadelphia Eagles this week in a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff Thursday at Lincoln Financial Field. Below, we look at the Steelers at Eagles odds and lines.

The Steelers picked up a 16-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game but did not any if their veteran core. This game will allow the starters to get their first work.

For the Eagles, it is Nick Sirianni’s head coaching debut and it is the first game situation for QB Jalen Hurts to prove he can retain the Eagles’ starting job.

Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers odds and lines: Packers QB Jordan Love finally set to see field

Assessing the odds and lines for Saturday’s NFL preseason contest between the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers.

The Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans finally begin their respective 2021 NFL preseason campaigns after a tumultuous offseason for both sides. Kickoff will be Saturday at 8 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field. Below, we look at the Texans at Packers odds and lines.

The Packers were able to retain QB Aaron Rodgers for at least the 2021 season, but it’s second-year QB Jordan Love who should be expected to see most of the playing time under center Saturday. The No. 26 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft didn’t see the field at all as a rookie as Rodgers put together his third MVP campaign in his age-36 season.

The Texans haven’t been able to come to anywhere near the same resolution as the Packers. QB Deshaun Watson remains mired in an off-field legal dispute and is also reportedly still seeking a trade. He participated in training camp Monday but is unlikely to play Saturday.

The Packers are modest favorites at home in what’s expected to be Love’s first taste of game action on an NFL field. Their implied win probability is 61.54% with the -160 money line odds. Those odds can be expressed as a fraction of 5/8 or decimal of 1.63. Green Bay will need to win by 3 or more points in order to cover the -2.5-point spread.

The Texans can cover the spread by losing by 2 or fewer points or by pulling off the upset victory. They have an implied win probability of just 43.48% with the +130 odds.

The teams will need to combine to score 34 or more points in order to cash Over 33.5 (-115) tickets. A point total of 33 or fewer points is a win for the Under.

New York Jets at New York Giants odds and lines: Gang Green favored in start of new era

Assessing the odds and lines for the Week 1 preseason battle between the New York Jets and New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The New York Jets begin a new era and look to put behind them a disastrous 2020 campaign in their 2021 preseason opener Saturday against the rival New York Giants. Kickoff at MetLife Stadium will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Jets at Giants odds and lines.

Jets fans and the rest of the NFL can expect to get their first game-action look at QB Zach Wilson. The No. 2 overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft should lead a couple drives under first-year head coach Robert Saleh. Rookie RB Michael Carter, taken in the fourth round, should also get a good look as a potential candidate to lead the backfield in the regular season.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley was activated from the physically unable to perform list Monday, but he’s unlikely to see the field at all in the preseason after missing nearly all of the 2020 campaign. QB Daniel Jones should get adequate time with his new-look receiving corps for head coach Joe Judge.

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens odds and lines: Ravens slight home favorites

Explaining the odds and lines for the 2021 NFL preseason opener for the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens play host to the New Orleans Saints Saturday at 7 p.m. ET at M&T Bank Stadium as both teams begin their 2021 preseason schedule. Below, we look at the Saints at Ravens odds and lines.

The Saints are beginning a new era without QB Drew Brees after the future Hall of Famer retired following the 2020 campaign. QBs Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston will battle this preseason to be his heir, while the team also used a fourth-round pick on QB Ian Book.

Former MVP QB Lamar Jackson remains at the helm of the Ravens offense, but he isn’t expected to see much, if any, time Saturday. QBs Trace McSorley and Tyler Huntley will battle to back him up in the regular season.

The Ravens (-155) are slight favorites at home. They have an implied win probability of 60.78% and the money line odds can also be expressed as a decimal of 1.65 or a fraction of 20/31. Baltimore would need to win by 3 or more points in order to cover the spread.

New Orleans’ implied win probability is 44.44% as a short road underdog. It can cover the spread by losing by 1 or 2 points, tying or winning outright in a small upset.

There would need to be at least 37 points scored by the two teams for a bet on the Over 36.5 to cash. The Ravens and Saints combining to score 36 or fewer points is a win for Under bettors.

Carolina Panthers at Indianapolis Colts odds and lines: Banged-up Colts still favored

Analyzing the NFL preseason Week 1 odds and lines as the Carolina Panthers take on the Indianapolis Colts

The Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts will wrap up the first week of the preseason Sunday at 1 p.m. ET from Lucas Oil Stadium. Below, we look at the Panthers at Colts odds and lines.

The Panthers struggled mightily last season without RB Christian McCaffrey for most of the year, limping to a 5-11 record. McCaffrey will be back this season but Carolina will likely take it slow with the electric running back. QB Sam Darnold takes over under center after an offseason trade, hoping to provide a spark on offense and take some pressure off of McCaffrey to carry the load.

The Colts suffered a major blow in training camp when both QB Carson Wentz and G Quenton Nelson underwent foot surgery, which will keep them both out 5-12 weeks. The defense still looks like it could be one of the best in the league, led by LB Darius Leonard and DT DeForest Buckner, but there are now questions about the offense with two critical players sidelined.

The Panthers are slight underdogs with a money line of +100, which has an implied probability of 50%. A $10 wager on Carolina to win outright would return a profit of $10. The Colts money line is -125, which means a $10 wager would return a profit of $8.

When it comes to the spread, the Panthers are +1.5, meaning they have to win outright, tie or lose by no more than 1 point to cover the spread. A $10 bet on the Panthers to cover would net a profit of $9.52. The Colts must win by 2 or more points to cover the spread, with a $10 wager on Indianapolis returning a profit of $8.70.

The Over/Under is set at 34.5 points. If the Panthers and Colts combine for 35 or more points, the Over would return a profit of $8.70 on a $10 bet. If the total goes Under 34.5 points, a $10 bet would win $9.52.
