The Jaguars are underdogs Thursday, but should they be?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have won three straight on the back of an offense that’s starting to find its footing and a defense that is racking up takeaways at a league-leading pace. The New Orleans Saints have lost three of their last four and will be without both of their starting offensive tackles Thursday night.

Yet, it’s the Jaguars that will walk into the Caesars Superdome as underdogs.

That is almost entirely because of a knee injury suffered by quarterback Trevor Lawrence late in the Jaguars’ 37-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. While it appears likely that the third-year quarterback will start, that’s no guarantee and his mobility and health, even if he is in the lineup, are in doubt.

However, Indianapolis will be without starting quarterback Anthony Richardson due to a shoulder injury. Starting in his place will be former Jaguars starter Gardner Minshew II.

Colts vs. Jaguars: NFL experts make Week 6 picks

The experts are leaning heavily to one side this week.

The Indianapolis Colts (3-2) and Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2) are just about set for a crucial Week 6 matchup at TIAA Bank Field.

As the second meeting between these division-mates, the Colts will be looking to even the season series after the Jaguars came out victorious in Week 1 on the road. Meanwhile, the Colts haven’t defeated the Jaguars on the road since the 2014 season, enduring an eight-game losing streak.

Vegas has the Colts sitting as 4.5-point underdogs in this matchup, according to BetMGM.

Over at Tallysight, 90% of the analysts have the Jaguars walking away with a home victory. In terms of the 4.5-point spread, 63% of analysts believe the Jaguars will cover.

This is a pretty heavy turn toward the Jaguars. They are coming off two impressive wins in London, and they took care of business on the road against the Colts in Week 1 so it doesn’t come as a surprise.

We should expect the Colts to be competitive, though. They’ve been a scrappy team all season, and they’re getting healthier despite the fact that they’ll be without Anthony Richardson.

We’ll see if the Colts can pull off the road upset when these two AFC South teams kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday in Duval County.

Not many experts think the Jaguars have what it takes to beat the Bills in Week 5.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got back on the right track last week against the Atlanta Falcons, cruising to a 23-7 win even if their offense still struggled to get going.

Was that win enough to convince experts that the Jaguars are ready to take down the steamroller that is the Buffalo Bills?

After losing in an overtime thriller in Week 1, the Bills rolled through their next three opponents by a combined 90 points. Buffalo is now second in scoring and allowing the second fewest points.

With a London meeting between the Bills and Jaguars kicking off Sunday morning, here’s who experts think will win the tilt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium:

NFL Week 5 picks: Vast majority of experts taking Eagles over Rams

Almost 90% of experts are taking the Eagles to beat the Rams this weekend. Can LA pull off the upset at home?

The Eagles have won 18 of their last 19 regular-season games with Jalen Hurts as their starting quarterback, including a 4-0 stretch to start 2023. The Los Angeles Rams will try to put the first blemish on Philadelphia’s record this Sunday when they host the Eagles at SoFi Stadium but it won’t be an easy game to win.

The Rams are 4.5-point underdogs to the Eagles and not many experts are picking them to win outright against the defending NFC champions. According to Tallysight, 89% of experts are taking the Eagles to beat the Rams on Sunday. A total of 262 experts submitted picks on that game, so about 233 of them are taking Philadelphia.

A good portion think it’ll at least be a somewhat close game. Only 59% are taking the Eagles to cover the spread on Sunday, which has ranged between 3.5 and 4.5 points. As for the over/under, 58% of experts have this one going over 50.5 points.

The Rams have covered the spread in three of their four games this season, with the only exception being a push in Week 3 when they lost to the Bengals, 19-16, as 3-point underdogs. The Eagles are 2-1-1 against the spread this year and their loss came last week in a 34-31 overtime win over Washington as 10-point favorites.

The Falcons and Jaguars are both looking to bounce back from tough Week 3 losses. Which team will get back on track?

According to NFL Pick Watch, only 5% of experts are taking the Rams to beat the Seahawks this weekend. Only the Broncos and Colts have a smaller number of experts picking them to win in Week 13, showing a real lack of confidence in the Rams.

Los Angeles has beaten the Seahawks in each of their last three meetings, but this game has a completely different feel because of the Rams’ struggles and injuries. At the start of the season, most thought the Rams would be overwhelming favorites against the Seahawks in Week 13. Instead, they’re 7-point underdogs.

Even with the spread factored in, only 33% of experts are taking them to cover and keep the game within a touchdown.
