An overjoyed Christian Pulisic cheered on USMNT from the hospital and assured fans he’d be ready for the knockout stage

He’s okay!

Christian Pulisic didn’t let a strike to the unmentionables keep him from celebrating the United States’ big World Cup win over Iran.

Pulisic made the heroic move to take a knee to the groin on his incredible goal that set up the 1-0 win over Iran on Tuesday.

The win puts the U.S. in the Round of 16 for a game against Netherlands on Saturday.

Even Captain America needs medical attention sometimes, with Pulisic sharing a jubilant social media update as he predictably gets his groin checked out after quite literally taking one for the team.

It seems that Pulisic will be all squared away for Saturday’s big showdown.

Pulisic’s goal will surely go down in U.S. World Cup history, as will his gumption to take such a shot in the family jewels.

The U.S. national team will need a lot more from Pulisic if it’s to challenge Netherlands to continue to represent the red, white and blue in Qatar.

We have a feeling that, if Pulisic can take a hit like this, there’s not a lot he can’t do during this year’s tournament.

Stashed Boston Celtics guard Yam Madar gets 14 points, 3 assists vs. Netherlands w/ Israel

Madar helped the Israeli National Team defeat the Netherlands National Team 74-67 in EuroBasket play

Stashed Boston Celtics point guard Yam Madar helped the Israeli National Team defeat the Netherlands National Team 74-67 in EuroBasket play on Saturday afternoon. The Beit Dagan native put up a total of 14 points, 3 rebounds, as many assists, and a steal in just under 24 minutes of floor time.

The former No. 47 pick of the 2020 NBA draft for Boston turned the ball over 3 times, and picked up 2 personal fouls in the win, shooting a very solid 5-of-10 from the field, an equally-hot 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, and a much less impressive 4-of-8 from the free throw line to complete his production in the Group D game.

Madar elected to skip the 2022 Las Vegas Summer League to focus on getting ready for a season where he will be featured by Partizan NIS and the Israeli National Team’s participation in this year’s EuroBasket competition.

While it’s too soon to say how things will go with Madar’s Serbian league squad at present, the Israeli floor general looked good against the Netherlands, even hitting a dagger from mid-court at one point.

Spain’s Juancho Hernangomez highlights: Ex-Boston Celtics forward gets 5 points, 4 boards vs. Netherlands

‘Bo Cruz’ helped Spain blow out the national team of the Netherlands in World Cup group stage qualifying on Saturday.

He might not be the next Bo Cruz of the NBA, but Spanish national and Boston Celtics alumnus Juancho Hernangomez helped Spain obliterate the Netherlands National Team, 86-64, in World Cup group stage qualifying on Saturday.

The former Boston swingman put up a respectable 5 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists as a starter in just under 24 minutes of floor time. Hernangomez turned the ball over twice and picked up as many personal fouls, while shooting 2-of-5 from the field overall, 1-of-3 from beyond the arc, and missing both of his free-throw attempts.

The protagonist of “Hustle” might not be quite the star player portrayed in the Netflix film he co-starred with Adam Sandler in, but he is still playing high-level basketball for Spain and, hopefully, this season in Toronto, his new home.
