Nebraska won its only game in the series in October 2011 in Lincoln by a 34-27 score, but Ohio State covered the spread as a 10-point underdog.

The Buckeyes have won 7 in a row vs. the Cornhuskers since October 2012 — including 4 meetings in Columbus — while going 5-2 ATS. In 3 of those victories, Ohio State won by at least 25 points, with the closest contest coming Nov. 3, 2018, in a 5-point victory (36-31).

Nebraska lost 13-10 vs. Minnesota on Saturday after losing a 10-3 lead with  2:32 left as the Golden Gophers scored a TD on 4th and 10. Minnesota then came up with an interception on the Cornhuskers next drive and hit a 47-yard game-winning FG with no time left for the win.

Colorado captured national headlines with its impressive 45-42 upset win vs. the TCU Horned Frogs, last year’s National Championship runner-up. The biggest storylines for that game were the success of coach Deion Sanders and the Heisman-like performances from QB Shedeur Sanders and WR/CB Travis Hunter. 

Sanders threw for a school-record 510 yards (38-of-47) and 4 TDs. Hunter  played 120 total snaps while making an impact on both offense and defense. He had 11 receptions for 119 yards and a key goal-line INT. The Buffaloes had 4 receivers go for 100-plus receiving yards.

Ohio State travels west after a 33-24 home win over the Penn State Nittany Lions Saturday night. The Buckeyes were undone by 10 penalties and were slow to get their top-flight offense on track against a solid PSU defense. But OSU would eventually get 152 rushing yards from freshman RB TreVeyon Henderson and grind out the two-score victory.

The Cornhuskers suffered its third consecutive setback with a 28-23 home loss to Purdue. Nebraska was held to just six points in the game’s second half. All six of the Huskers’ losses this season — and nine of the program’s last 10 since last fall — have been by one score.
