The No. 9 seed Texas A&M Aggies (20-14) face off against the 8th-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers (23-10) Friday in a 1st-round game in the NCAA Tournament. Tip from FedExForum in Memphis is scheduled for 6:50 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Texas A&M vs. Nebraska odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.
Before losing in the Southeastern Conference Tournament title game to the Florida Gators 95-90, the Aggies were running as hot as anyone in the country. They failed to cover the spread as a 2.5-point underdog but the Over (153) cashed. Texas A&M is led by the 1st-team All SEC player G Wade Taylor IV, who averaged 18.9 points, 4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. The Aggies were 16-18 against the spread (ATS) for the season, and just 5-5 ATS over their last 10 regular-season games — they went 2-1 ATS in the conference tourney.
The Cornhuskers impressive run through the Big Ten Tournament ended in the title game against the Illinois Fighting Illini. They lost 98-87 and did not cover as a 4.5-point underdog, but the Over (154.5) cashed. Nebraska brings a lot of offensive firepower to the court with 4 players averaging double-figures in points and they shoot over 45% from the field as a team. Nebraska finished 21-12 ATS, including 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games.

Texas A&M vs. Nebraska picks and predictions
Prediction
Nebraska 81, Texas A&M 76
Moneyline
PASS.
We’ve got an odds play but I’m going to stay away from the moneyline and look to the spread for this bet. You are giving less than 2 points with Nebraska and you are getting less juice. When you’ve got a line that big, it’s basically a pick’em, so I’ll take the better odds.
Against the spread
BET NEBRASKA -2.5 (-108).
This is a very even matchup between 2 teams that both got hot during their conference tournament, but just missed getting the job done. The reason I am siding with the Cornhuskers is because I believe they are more balanced on offense. The points can come from 4 different starters while if you take Taylor out of the game the Aggies struggle to put the ball in the basket.
The Cornhuskers were also a covering machine this season, 21-12 ATS on the season while the Aggies were just 16-18.

Over/Under
BET OVER 146.5 (-115).
I think this line is too low for this matchup, a great chance to get an easy winner on Friday.
The Cornhuskers can shoot the rock and that was on full display during the Big Ten Tournament. They scored 85 points or more in all 3 games in Minneapolis. The Aggies are no slouch either, they put up 75 or more over their last 5 games.
If you combine these 2 teams, they were 43-24 against the Over for the season. Texas A&M has cleared the Over in 5 straight games and Nebraska has in 4 of their last 5.
