If you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We are diving into our favorite picks against the spread for this week, but if you are looking for more information or to place a bet check out Tipico Sportsbook.

We are doing okay with a nice record of 15-10 after finishing last week at 3-3. The Iowa Hawkeyes were once again terrible on offense and the Texas A&M Aggies underachieved out of the gate once more. But thank goodness the Penn State Nittany Lions were out for blood and the USC Trojans can’t be stopped. We bet on two games on Friday, but as of writing, they are not complete. Let’s hope for Florida State, and Air Force and let’s dive into Saturday.

Grading every ACC team’s Week 2 performance

A letter grade for every ACC team’s Week 2 performance

Week 2 of the 2022 college football season is behind us, with Clemson defeating Furman 35-12 in a home matchup at Death Valley.

The Tigers started the game cooking on offense, but the group slowed down in the second half as the defense seemingly did the opposite, beginning the game on the shakier side before recovering in the second half.

All but one ACC team saw action this week with Florida State having a bye, and it was yet another eventful week out of the conference. Teams had their ups and downs along with their wins and losses.

How did the ACC fair? Which teams performed while others struggled?

Here’s a look at my grade for every ACC team’s week one performance:

Week one of college football is in the books with Clemson’s 41-10 victory over Georgia Tech at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Monday night.

It was a competitive game early until Clemson found their groove in the second half, and the offense got things going. Georgia Tech looked solid with what they had, giving the Tigers some trouble early with talented quarterback Jeff Sims making plays.

While Clemson and Georgia Tech may have been the last teams we saw on week one, the entire ACC was active this week, with some playing non-conference matchups and others playing in-conference.

How did the ACC fair? Which teams performed while others struggled? Here’s a look at my grade for every ACC team’s week one performance:

Week one results for all ACC football teams so far.

Week one is almost in the books for the ACC with just three more teams yet to get some action, with Clemson and Georgia Tech, who will face off in a Labor Day night matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and Florida State, who will be facing LSU.

Though Clemson and Georgia Tech faceoff in the last game of week one, the rest of the ACC got their season going with some teams fairing better than others. There were some surprise wins, losses, and close games that came down to the wire.

Some teams underperformed while others looked better than expected, it was a solid week for the ACC.

Here’s a look at how every ACC team that played fair in week one.

Former Florida Coach Dan Mullen’s CFP prediction: Clemson out, NC State in

Former SEC head coach puts one ACC team in his college football playoff prediction.

Former Florida and Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen has spent a lot of time and had a lot of success as a head coach in his career; it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about football.

Mullen recently released his college football playoff predictions this past Friday, with the former head coach giving the No.4 spot to an ACC team. While Clemson may be the highest ranked team out the gates in the ACC, Mullen selected North Carolina State as his No.4 team to make the CFP.

Alabama and Ohio State stacking up as the No.1 and No.2 seed is no surprise, but the addition of two new teams who would appear in their first CFP in history in a No.3 Utah Utes and No.4 NC State Wolfpack is an interesting call. The playoff has been consistent, with the same group of teams making it year in and year out, so the two new faces would change things up quite a bit.

Looking at No.4 Clemson and No.13 NC State on paper, the Tigers should be the better team. On the other hand, you could say the same thing about the Tigers team last season, who were dealt a 27-21 loss in double overtime at NC State. The two top dogs in the ACC will face off on October 1st in Clemson at a time to be determined in what should shake up to be a make-or-break game for both teams.

Will the Wolfpack take two straight against the Tigers? It’s hard to say, though, if I had to pick a winner right now, I don’t see Swinney and Clemson dropping this game again. It will be a matchup of two powerhouse defenses and has all pieces to become an instant classic.

What may not be a surprise is Mullen picking perennial powerhouse Alabama to take home another championship.

Clemson Wire will continue our coverage of Clemson’s pursuit for a other college football playoff appearance.

NC State Wolfpack Preview 2022

NC State was the overlooked really, really good team of 2021 – two of its three losses were on the road by a total of four points.

Devin Leary was the overlooked really, really good quarterback of last year – Kenny Pickett and other ACC stars got all the attention.

NC State overall has become an overlooked really, really good program under Dave Doeren.

It hasn’t been able to bust through and get to an ACC Championship game, much less win one, but outside of a 4-8 clunker in 2019, the Wolfpack have been consistently solid with three nine-win seasons in five years and an 8-4 2020 that might have been nine with a regular schedule.

That was coming off a nice run of three straight winning seasons and 22 wins before taking things up a few notches.

How good has NC State been under Doeren? Clemson is obviously the star of the conference, and not counting Notre Dame – put a ring on it, ACC – NC State has the second-most wins of any ACC program over the last eight seasons.

And this might just be the best team yet under Doeren.

The offense gets back Leary working behind a veteran offensive line that really and truly might be overlooked.

The defense not only should get back eight starters, but returns a few injured stars to form what could be the nation’s best linebacking corps – or close to it.

So no overlooking NC State this year. Put the pressure on.

Clemson is still the most talented team and should rise back up and take the ACC – getting to the ACC Championship could be tough with the Atlantic Division date with the Tigers in Death Valley – but being the second best team in the conference is the reasonable goal.

Ten wins, possibly 11, and the program’s best season than the 11-3 2022 season …

That wouldn’t be overlooked.

NC State Wolfpack Preview 2022: Offense, Defense NEXT

Clemson falls just outside the top-four in CBS Sports preseason top 131

Clemson heads into the 2022 season as one of the top teams in college football.

The start of the 2022 college football season is inching closer and closer, with kickoff just weeks away.

As we approach opening day, various sports outlets begin releasing their preseason rankings, giving fans an idea of what some of these college football experts think about their favorite team. Recently, CBS Sports released their annual preseason top 131, ranking every division-one football team before the start of the season.

Things have changed a lot in the college football landscape over this past offseason, and college football will never be the same. With teams having to adjust to the new mold of the sport, it is interesting to take a look at how these adjustments reflect in this new CBS preseason poll.

So, where does Clemson rank among the top 25 teams of the 131 division one programs?

Here’s where the Tigers rank according to CBS Sports’ recent preseason rankings:

How many Clemson games will College GameDay visit in 2022?

College GameDay could be visiting multiple Clemson games this season, including a potential trip to an ACC matchup in Death Valley.

College GameDay may be returning to Clemson in 2022.

While it is already set in stone that in week one, College GameDay will travel first to Pittsburgh, Pa., for Pitt vs. West Virginia and then Colombus, Ohio, for Ohio State vs. Notre Dame, there are still 13 other possible weeks for a Clemson game to be featured.

To predict the potential locations for College GameDay visits, 247Sports’  Dean Straka outlined the most likely scenarios for each week.

Straka predicted that Lee Corso, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and the rest of the crew will visit the site of two Clemson games in 2022.

First, Staka has College GameDay visiting Clemson on Oct. 1 when the Tigers take on NC State after losing to the Wolfpack last season.

Five weeks later, Straka has the crew traveling to Notre Dame for a rematch of the 2020 ACC Championship game.

College GameDay last visited Clemson in 2020 when the Tigers hosted Miami, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, it wasn’t the true atmosphere that the segment usually brings before a game.

While many scenarios must play out correctly, there is also a possibility that College GameDay visits Death Valley in week 12 this season for the same matchup since, at that point, Clemson and Miami could both be at the top of their divisions.
