Bones Hyland’s hilarious reaction after making this wild layup might be the NBA meme of the season

Nah, man. Bones Hyland is a menace.

The NBA season usually gives us some pretty incredible meme material year after year.

For example, the Darvin Ham clipboard joint from earlier this year is absolute gold — and not just because he coaches the Lakers. It’s just such a versatile one. It’s probably still circulating around group chats as we speak.

There are probably going to be a lot more great memes coming from this exciting season so far, too. But, man. This new Bones Hyland reaction that just dropped? That’s going to be a hard one to top.

Hyland made an incredible layup against the Clippers in a blowout win on Thursday night. His reaction to the layup was probably more incredible than the actual shot itself, though. Look at him.

Bones.

BONES.

BOOOOOOONES.

My man looks like the dramatic chipmunk. Hyland even translated the look for us himself.

This is absolutely hilarious. Well, to us, anyway. For the Clippers it’s pretty embarrassing. But, hey, man. Content!

Steph Curry had the most hilarious response to a reporter calling him ‘Wardell’

Wow this is a great meme.

Stephen Curry is a household name on the basketball court and rightfully so. He’s a three-time NBA champion, a two-time MVP and the best shooter to ever play the game. Period.

So, of course, everyone knows his name. Or at least what we call him, anyway. Probably not many people know his full name is Wardell Stephen Curry II, named after his dad, Dell, who also played in the NBA.

You rarely hear Curry being called by his actual first name. It just doesn’t happen. Until Thursday, that is.

During the Warriors media availability, a reporter called Curry by his actual first name and drew out the most hilarious response.

LOL. That is absolutely hilarious.

Now, to be clear, the reporter in question here is The Athletic’s Marcus Thompson. And he has a pretty great relationship with Curry, so this is probably an inside joke between the two of them.

And what a great joke it was. It just got us some brand new meme material. Just look at this face.

Yup. That’s it. That’s definitely the look. That same look you give when anybody who isn’t your mom calls you by your actual first name. That’s also the look that you give when your mom calls you by your actual name because you know you’re definitely in trouble right now.

This is great. Pure comedy. Shouts to Wardell — both of them.

Kyle Lowry’s big smile has become the NBA’s newest meme

Get you somebody who smiles at you like Kyle Lowry.

The NBA’s bubble playoffs has unquestionably given us a lot of great basketball that we should all be thankful for.

It feels like every single game is some stress inducing experience, even though a lot of us don’t even root for the teams that are playing. These games are somehow always close.

The playoffs have also undoubtedly delivered us some pretty incredible meme content. There was Anthony Davis, a panicky Kawhi Leonard and (somehow?) Drake.

Now, we’ve got Kyle Lowry and his huge smile.

After delivering a spectacular game winning pass to OG Anunoby on Thursday, Lowry ran over to hug is teammate and celebrate their miraculous win. You know, how teammates do.

But nobody was as happy as Lowry was. That was made clear by this absolutely ridiculous smile he let off.

Fam. What a smile. That is a happy, happy man. Get you somebody that smiles at you like Kyle Lowry smiles at, well, whatever.

NBA Twitter took this and ran with it. NBA on TNT built a whole smiling Kyle Lowry montage.

Then the jokes came. Ah, yes. The jokes. They turned him into a 90’s sitcom, y’all.

But, really, everyone just wants to be as happy as Lowry is someday.

Even the city of Toronto was in on it.

Shouts to Lowry for delivering a big Raptors win and the biggest smile of all-time. We needed that.
