Watch: 4-star G Simeon Wilcher commits to St. John’s in style

Wilcher’s announcement is part Coming to America, part Nas and part basketball highlight reel.

High school hoopers are on another level when it comes to style points for their college commitments. One of the best we have seen came out on Monday when Roselle Catholic (N.J.) four-star guard Simeon Wilcher announced his commitment to St. John’s with a slick video.

Wilcher’s announcement is part “Coming to America,” part Nas and part basketball highlight reel. Watch.

Wilcher (6-foot-4, 185 pounds) is No. 4 overall in New Jersey, No. 7 among combo guards and No. 34 nationally in the class of 2023, going by the 247Sports composite rankings. He also had offers from 13 other programs, including Nebraska and North Carolina.

Jay-Z is really unbeatable in ‘Verzuz’ but here are 9 rappers who might make it fun

No one is touching Hov but we would love to see these.

The internet has been in a fracas over the last few days because of one Jay-Z. The God MC. The greatest rapper of all time. Ever.

What’d he do? He let us know just how good he is.

Hov hopped in a Twitter Space with Alicia Keys earlier this week and was asked about the potential of him doing a “Verzuz” battle. For those of us who don’t know, “Verzuz” is an online platform where artists from across genres get together and play music against each other in a quasi competition.

It’s not really competitive — it’s all in fun. But it’s nice to talk about who would give who a good run.

Jay-Z set the internet ablaze by saying there was no one out there who could compete with him.

Honestly? He’s not wrong. Jay-Z is pretty untouchable on most accounts. But while Jay might be untouchable, though, that doesn’t mean he can’t do a Verzuz. Someone just has to be willing to lose. And losing can be fun!

So here are some people who might make the loss a great time at the very least.

WATCH: LeBron James, Russell Westbrook appear in Nas’ ‘Brunch on Sundays’ music video

Watch Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Russell Westbrook make cameos in Nas’ music video for “Brunch on Sundays.”

The perks of being in Los Angeles are already materializing for newly acquired star Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook and LeBron James are set to team on an NBA team for the first time in their careers, but they’re already appearing together in music videos off the court as the final weeks of the offseason wind down.

Both Los Angeles Lakers stars made an appearance on the music video for one of Nas’ new songs called “Brunch on Sundays” featuring artist Blxst.

The song was initially released on Aug. 6 as part of Nas’ 15-song album titled “King’s Disease II”, the sequel to one he dropped in 2020 (warning: strong language).

James and Westbrook are sitting by side-by-side to the right of the frame in all-white apparel enjoying brunch on a Sunday.

Other prominent members in the video include actor Lil Rel Howery, and more artists and producers in the music industry such as Cordae, Hit-Boy and Swizz Beatz.
