It’s been over a month since the Spartans have tasted victory and picking up a win this week won’t be easy either.

Michigan State will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Saturday against a suddenly surging Badgers team. The Spartans enter this matchup 2-4 on the season and winless in conference play, while Wisconsin is coming off a win under new interim head coach Jim Leonhard and is 3-3 on the season.

Does the Spartans Wire staff think Michigan State will break its four-game losing streak this week? Here are our score predictions for Michigan State-Wisconsin and how we see this Big Ten battle playing out:

Advice and prediction

On paper, Wisconsin isn’t a terrible matchup for the banged up Spartans. The Badgers don’t have the same kind explosive passing attack as any of the four teams they’ve played during this losing streak but the Spartans’ inability to slow down the run is what scares me here. Combine that with lackluster offensive play in recent weeks and it’s hard to pick a Michigan State victory. I don’t have this as a lock pick, but I’m leaning Wisconsin in this game.

Prediction: Michigan State – 17, Wisconsin – 24
