Michigan State Football offers four 2022 prospects scholarships

Michigan State and Mel Tucker offered a total of four 2022 prospects scholarships on Tuesday.

Right now, all eyes are on the 2021 football recruiting class at Michigan State as head coach Mel Tucker looks to play catch-up and put together a strong class, but that does not mean his staff isn’t making progress for the future as well. On Tuesday, the Spartans offered up four 2022 players future scholarships to come to East Lansing.

They are:

  • DE Derrick Moore, St. Frances Academy, Baltimore, MD
  • TE/WR Elijah Brown, Wayne High School, Huber Heights, Ohio
  • T/TE George Fitzpatrick, Cherry Creek High School, Greenwood Village, CO
  • T Grant Bingham, Johnson Central High School, Paintsville, KY

Michigan State Football offers 2021 3-star LT Zenuae Michalski

Michigan State football has made an offer to 2021 3-star Zenuae Michalski from Indiana. Read more about this potential prospect here.

Michigan State football has made yet another offer for the 2021 class. This time, 3-star 2021 LT Zenuae Michalski announced he has received an offer from the Spartans. Michalski hails from Floyd Knobs, IN and plays for Floyd Central high school.

Michalski stands at 6’6″ and weighs 265 pounds. According to 247 Sports, he ranks as the No. 81 LT in the nation in the 2021 recruiting class. Furthermore, he ranks as the No. 14 prospect in Indiana in the 2021 recruiting class.

He currently has offers from Louisville, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Syracuse, Cincinnati, and Boston College.

2022 3-star athlete Christion Stokes puts MSU Football in top-9

3-star ATH Christion Stokes our of Harper Woods, MI has placed Michigan State in his top-9 for recruiting.

2022 will be the true measuring stick when it comes to Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Football team, and it looks like they are already getting off to a solid start, as they have already offered multiple players from the 2022 class. One of those players, 3-star athlete Christion Stokes, Tweeted his top-9 choices for schools in 2022 and MSU made the list.

247sports has Stokes, who plays for Harper Woods High School, as the No. 12 player in the state of Michigan for 2022 and the No. 36 ranked athlete in the class. As an ‘athlete’, Stokes has the ability to play multiple positions, but at 5’10”, 170 pounds he would probably either be playing a skill position on offense or cornerback on defense.

2021 3-star CB Keuan Parker puts Michigan State Football in top-6

Michigan State Football could land another solid prospect as Keuan Parker has placed the Spartans in his top-6.

Michigan State Football has started to pick up momentum on the recruiting front, and it looks like they could get another big pick up as 2021 3-star cornerback Keuan Parker has named MSU as one of his top-6 choices during his recruiting process.

Parker currently attends Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is the No. 6 ranked player in the state of Oklahoma according to the 247sports composite rankings. They also have Parker ranked as the No. 27 ranked cornerback.

Parker’s top-6 schools are:

  • Arkansas
  • Michigan State
  • Baylor
  • Kansas
  • Nebraska
  • SMU

Michigan State Football lands commitment of 2021 3-star WR/DB Kobe Myers

Kobe Myers, a 3-star athlete from Waterford Mott, has committed to Michigan State University.

Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Football team now have four commitments for the recruiting class of 2021, all four of whom are 3-star recruits. On Monday night, Waterford Mott 3-star athlete Kobe Myers committed to MSU.

Myers is the No. 57 ranked player in the state of Michigan according to the 247sports composite rankings. Myers is listed as an “athlete” which means he can play multiple positions, but from what I have seen when looking through what highlights are available it looks like he can play wide receiver, defensive back, and return kicks. Tucker is looking to stock his future squad up with speed and athleticism on the wings and size in the trenches, and Myers looks to be a good addition to that profile.

2021 3-star DT Derrick Harmon lists Michigan State in top-4 for recruiting

Michigan State Football is one of the top-4 teams in 3-star defensive tackle Derrick Harmon’s recruiting process.

The football recruiting period is starting to heat up for Michigan State with three 3-star prospects committing over the last few days. Another 3-star recruiting prospect could be joining that group soon as Detroit’s Derrick Harmon has placed MSU in his top-4 final commitment choices on Saturday.

Harmon, who currently plays for Loyola High School, is listed as the No. 33 best player in the state of Michigan according to 247sports and the No. 55 ranked defensive tackle in the 2021 class.

His top-4 consists of:

  • Michigan State
  • Ole Miss
  • Purdue
  • Memphis

According to 247sports, Harmon is scheduled to announce his commitment on April 15th.

Michigan State football has made another incredibly impressive recruiting move. Now, 2021 4-star CB Charles Brantley has announced that he has received an offer from the Spartans. Brantley plays for Venice high school in Venice, FL.

Brantley stands at 6’0″ and weighs 160 pounds. Per 247 Sports Composite Rankings, he is the 40th-ranked CB in the nation. Furthermore, he ranks as the No. 74 prospect in all of Florida. Brantley would certainly be an exceptional addition to Michigan State’s group of Cornerbacks.

MSU Football offers 2022 4-star OLB Joshua Burnham, No. 2 ranked prospect in Michigan

Michigan State has offered one of the top players in the state of Michigan in Traverse City Central’s Joshua Burnham.

The 2021 recruiting class is just starting to begin taking shape with the commitment of Davion Primm, but Mel Tucker and his staff at Michigan State already have their eyes set on 2022. On Wednesday, Joshua Burnham of Traverse City Central High School announced that he has been re-offered by the Spartans. Burnham is the No. 2 ranked player in the state of Michigan in the 2022 recruiting class according to 247sports.

Burnham is a 4-star prospect and the No. 6 ranked outside linebacker in his class. He is also in the top-100 recruits overall in the 2022 class, coming in at No. 75 in the country.

Since he came into the school during peak 2021 recruiting season, 2022 will be the true first fair test for Mel Tucker and his recruiting team and they will look to prove that they can bring top-end talent to East Lansing. Bringing in a player of Burnham’s caliber would send a huge statement for the program.

Edwards stands at 5’11” and weighs 219 pounds. He is the 9th-ranked ILB in all of the 2022 recruiting class, per 247 Sports Rankings. Furthermore, he is the No. 18 prospect in all of Lousiana. The Spartans have made yet another sweet offer.

Right now, Edwards also has offers from Colorado, Memphis, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.
