Orlando City SC 1, Philadelphia Union 1

Moneyline (ML)

Philadelphia Union (+150) is the slight favorite here, with surprising Orlando City SC (+170) a tempting play at this price level. Both sides won their first two matches of Group A play and are through to the Round of 16, so don’t be surprised to see each side power down.

Orlando is fairly healthy, with no notable injuries to report; however, Santos is nicked for the Doopers, coming off at the half last time out after playing with a leg injury. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him sit in this one to get fit for the knockout stages.

Neither side is likely to push hard, so a DRAW (+260) play makes sense, and could be rather lucrative, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 2.5 (+115) is also rather attractive. Philadelphia’s defense and goalkeeping have been like a brick wall through two in Central Florida, conceding just one goal, while Orlando has allowed just two markers. Both sides are likely to gladly play a defensive slog, and more than two goals would be a major shocker.

OVER 2.5 (-176) is a bit on the pricy side, but it will be worth it. The Timbers are far and away the better club here.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 2.5 (-167) is a slam-dunk play here – O/U 2.5 is the line available at most sportsbooks. However, at BetMGM, you can also hammer OVER 3.5 (+140) at a nice value. Toronto’s three absences are highly notable, but F Ayo Akinola stepped up in a big way with both first-half goals against DC United Monday. M Michael Bradley (foot) also returned to action from his early-season absence. M Pablo Piatti made his MLS debut and played 72 minutes.

TFC just has more talent throughout the lineup than the Impact. Catching plus-money while it tries to secure a top-two seed in Group C makes TFC an easy pick.

Toronto Fs Akinola and Alejandro Pozuelo will again be able to do the heavy lifting and will send this one OVER 2.5 (-150).

Akinola led the way for TFC against DC United with six shot attempts and five of those landed on goal. Pozeulo assisted on both of Akinola’s tallies. Montreal registered just one shot on goal in its loss to New England, but it was able to fire a total of six attempts at the target.

These two sides played to a 2-1 TFC victory last August. Toronto also scored a 2-0 win in its July 13 meeting with Montreal last season. The Impact scored four goals in their two regular-season games this year and should be able to get their first of the tournament against a TFC side that just gave up two to DC United.
