Could Michigan State’s women’s basketball program be heading back to the NCAA Tournament?

Could Michigan State’s women’s basketball program be heading back to the NCAA Tournament? For now, it’s looking like that’ll be the case.

The Spartans are off to a strong start this season, currently holding a 13-5 overall record at roughly the halfway point of the year. That strong start is good enough to have Michigan State currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament, according to Charlie Creme of ESPN.

Creme put out an updated NCAA Tournament bracket projection on Tuesday, which included the Spartans. Michigan State is currently slotted as a No. 9 seed in Creme’s projected field of 68.

Michigan State hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2021, and has only made it once in the past four years.
