Michigan State football has extended a scholarship to a highly-rated wide receiver from Tennessee in the 2026 class.

Joel Wyatt of Bell Buckle, Tenn. announced earlier this week that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Wyatt is a four-star prospect in the 2026 class.

Wyatt ranks as the No. 20 wide receiver and No. 137 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 3 player from Tennessee.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 programs to extend an offer to Wyatt, according to 247Sports. Other notable programs to offer Wyatt includes Auburn, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Michigan State football has made the top four for arguably the top player from Minnesota in the 2025 class

Michigan State football has made the top four for arguably the top player from Minnesota in the 2025 class.

Three-star defensive lineman Abu Tarawallie released his top four schools list on Friday, which featured the Spartans. Kansas State, Minnesota and Wisconsin also made the cut.

Tarawallie is ranked as the No. 72 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player from Minnesota in the class.

Michigan State will be hosting Tarawallie for an official visit on June 7, according to 247Sports. He also has official visits scheduled with the Wildcats, Golden Gophers and Badgers over the next few weeks.

The 2025 recruiting cycle is set to get off and running as the summer is here and official visit season is starting. With the cycle starting to ramp up, the Spartans have been named to a top seven list of Bradley Gompers.

Gompers is a 6-foot-3, 200 pound linebacker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has yet to be ranked by the recruiting services.

Michigan State is listed alongside Duke, Maryland, Northwestern, Pitt, Rutgers and West Virginia.

Sheldon Robinson of Woodberry Forrest, Va. announced on Tuesday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Robinson is a three-star safety prospect in the 2025 class.

Robinson ranks as the No. 38 safety prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to extend an offer to Robinson. He also holds notable offers from Duke, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Northwestern, Pitt, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Michigan State will host a trending in-state prospect for an official visit this week.

Three-star tight end Jayden Savoury of Orchard Lake, Mich. will take an official visit to Michigan State this upcoming weekend. Savoury picked up an offer from Michigan State in January and has since gained a ton of traction on the recruiting trail.

Savoury ranks as the No. 40 tight end in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 16 player from Michigan and No. 824 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of nearly 20 schools to offer Savoury, according to 247Sports. Other notable programs to offer Savoury includes BYU, Duke, Kansas, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Boston College, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers and West Virginia.

According to 247Sports, Savoury also has official visits lined up for Duke, Kansas and Wisconsin.

An elite tight end prospect in the 2026 class will take an unofficial visit to Michigan State.

Brock Harris of Saint George, Utah announced on Monday that he intends on taking an unofficial visit to Michigan State amongst numerous other big-time programs. Harris is a five-star tight end in the 2026 class.

Harris will also take unofficial visits to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and Wisconsin.

Harris ranks as the No. 3 tight end and No. 22 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the top player from Utah in the class.

Michigan State is the only schools on Harris’ upcoming list of unofficial visits to not have already offered him a scholarship. He holds offers from more than 30 schools, according to 247Sports.

Naeem Burroughs of Jacksonville, Fla. announced on Sunday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. Burroughs is a four-star wide receiver in the 2026 class.

Burroughs ranks as the No. 11 wide receiver and No. 81 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 11 player from Florida in the class.

According to 247Sports, Michigan State is the 25th school to extend an offer to Burroughs. Other notable schools to offer Burroughs includes Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Michigan State football has locked in an official visit for three-star offensive tackle Rowan Byrne.

Byrne announced this weekend that he’ll be taking an official visit to Michigan State on June 7. Byrne hails from New Rochelle, New York and is considered one of the top players from the state of New York in the 2025 class.

Byrne is ranked as the No. 43 offensive tackle and No. 529 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 3 player from New York.

Michigan State is one of more than 20 schools to extend an offer to Byrne. According to 247Sports, other schools that are “warm” in his recruitment are Penn State, Florida State and Clemson.

Smith Orogbo of Houston, Texas announced earlier this week that he’s received a scholarship from the Spartans. Orogbo is a four-star defensive lineman in the 2025 class.

Orogbo ranks as the No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 132 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 22 player from Texas.

Michigan State is one of nearly 40 schools to extend an offer to Orogbo. He currently has official visits lined up with Missouri, Texas Tech, Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma over the next month.

Nolan Davenport of Massillon, Ohio announced on Tuesday that he’ll be taking an official visit to Michigan State on June 14. Davenport is a three-star offensive tackle in the 2025 class.

Davenport ranks as the No. 29 offensive tackle and No. 12 player from Ohio in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 588 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the class.

Michigan State is one of more than 30 schools to extend an offer to Davenport. He also has an official visit lined up with Wisconsin in June — who is currently considered the top competitor to the Spartans for his commitment.
