Watch: Twin 4-star recruits Andrew and Michael Harris commit to different schools

Andrew settled on UCF, while Michael went with Maryland.

We have already seen one pairing of blue chip 2023 prospects join their commitment at the hip. Carver (Ala). edge Qua Russaw and defensive lineman James Smith made themselves a package deal – eventually settling on Alabama together.

Many recruiting analysts expected to see another pair of teammates commit to the same college going into National Signing Day.

Andrew Harris and Michael Harris are twin brothers and four-star recruits who both play inside linebacker at Lake Brantley (Fla.).

The smart money was on the two of them to wind up playing for the same school, but they wound up splitting and taking two different paths, instead.

Andrew chose to recommit to UCF. Meanwhile, Michael went with Maryland. Even though they were going their separate ways, they announced their respective decisions together on Instagram. Watch:

MSU targets, 4-star LB twins Andrew and Michael Harris decommit from UCF

A pair of Michigan State 2023 targets reopened their recruiting process on Sunday

A pair of Michigan State 2023 targets reopened their recruiting process on Sunday.

Twin brothers Andrew and Michael Harris announced on Sunday evening that they are decommitting from UCF. The pair of four-star linebackers have been committed to the Golden Knights since July.

Andrew Harris ranks as the No. 20 linebacker and Michael Harris ranks as the No. 28 linebacker in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2023 class.

Both Andrew and Michael Harris took official visits to Michigan State in June, and were heavily considering the Spartans. Maryland was also in the mix before the two elected to stay close to home and commit to UCF.

With the early signing period coming up later this week, these are two big-time prospects to keep an eye on.
