Mic’d-up video showed what Taylor Swift told Travis Kelce after the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win

The mics were ON.

When the Chiefs clinched the AFC Championship last season, they had to do so on the road in Baltimore. And for Taylor Swift, it meant navigating her way to the field in an unfamiliar stadium to greet boyfriend Travis Kelce. It was chaos.

Fast forward a year, and Swift was able to celebrate the Chiefs’ AFC title at Arrowhead Stadium. She immediately took notice to how special that scene was in front of the home fans.

NFL Films posted mic’d-up footage on Wednesday from Kansas City’s AFC Championship celebration, which included part of the greeting between the 14-time Grammy winner and Kelce. Swift shared the moment with Travis and Donna Kelce, and thanks to the mics, we no longer need lip-readers on the case.

Swift said:

“Oh my God. This is so insane. Look at this. Look at this. This is not a real-life situation.”

Kelce responded:

“It wasn’t like this in Baltimore last year.”

To which Swift said:

“No, it was not … This is so crazy. I cannot believe this is really happening. I’m in shock … This is so cool.”

These videos never get old.

Mic’d-up video showed how surprised Eagles and Commanders players were to learn that refs could award a TD

Turned out everyone learned something new there.

When the Eagles lined up inside the two-yard line against the Commanders, everyone in the stadium knew that the Tush Push was coming. It’s their go-to play at the goal line, after all. And in an effort to stop the Eagles, Frankie Luvu took the most unconventional approach to defending the Tush Push.

He taught everyone about a seldomly used NFL rule in the process. Like, even Eagles and Commanders players had no idea it existed.

Luvu repeatedly jumped over the line before the snap, knowing that he’d either time up the snap perfectly or just get hit with an encroachment penalty of half the distance. But after he did that a second time, the officials warned Washington that they could award the Eagles a touchdown.

The cited rule was called a “palpably unfair act.” And mic’d-up video from NFL Films showed just how surprised the players were to learn that this was an actual thing that exists.

Jayden Daniels said on the bench confusedly, “Award a score? You can give them a touchdown?”

It was news to all of us.

Though it didn’t come to that as the Eagles scored on the Tush Push after the warning, it was still hilarious to think about.

Mics picked up Zach Ertz furiously standing up for Jayden Daniels after a dirty hit from Lions DE Josh Paschal

That’s having your teammate’s back.

The Washington Commanders are off to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1992, and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is a major reason for that turnaround.

So, you best believe that a leader like Zach Ertz isn’t going to let a dirty hit on Daniels go unpunished.

During Saturday’s NFC divisional round win over the Lions, Detroit defensive end Josh Paschal was flagged for unnecessary roughness after he went up high on a hit to Daniels’ helmet. The Commanders quarterback was fine despite the penalty, but Ertz immediately came to the rookie’s defense.

Mic’d-up footage from the Commanders showed what Ertz said as he confronted Paschal.

Ertz said … with plenty of NSFW language:

“Hey, don’t you do that (expletive) to my guy! Don’t do that (expletive) to my guy. You ain’t (expletive) for that!”

Ertz would have the last laugh as he caught a touchdown in the Commanders’ upset of the No. 1 seed. That’s what having your teammate’s back looks like.

Mic’d-up video showed how Dion Dawkins was simply in awe of Bills fans during playoff win over the Ravens

“It’s beautiful.”

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins has played in 141 NFL games (including the playoffs). He’s seen what the league has to offer, but for him, Bills Mafia never gets old.

As the Bills were looking to hold off the Ravens during Sunday’s AFC divisional round game, Dawkins couldn’t help but admire the crowd at Highmark Stadium. Sure, the stakes were high, and his teammates were trying to lock in.

But Dawkins couldn’t help but appreciate just how supportive the Bills fans were that night. The great exchange from the bench was picked up in mic’d-up video from the Bills.

Check it out:

Dawkins said:

“I know that you gotta lock in and (expletive), but do you ever just look at the fans? Like just looked at them? … Prettiest thing in the world. But it’s beautiful. Our people, man. I love them to death.”

He never takes that kind of support for granted.

Mic’d-up John Harbaugh repeatedly told Lamar Jackson to throw the ball away before the TD pass to Justice Hill

Lamar Jackson is just *that* good.

Lamar Jackson is so good and so elusive that he manages to defy football strategy. And while that can make a head coach awfully nervous in real time, the payoff is often worth it in the end.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh couldn’t even believe what he witnessed on Saturday night.

NFL DIVISIONAL ROUND POWER RANKINGS: Where do the Ravens land?

With Baltimore facing second and goal and 11 seconds remaining in the first half, normal football logic would tell you that Jackson had to get rid of the ball quickly in order to leave time for the field goal, at worst.

Instead, Jackson scrambled for 6.31 seconds and ultimately found an open Justice Hill for a touchdown with two seconds remaining in the half. And let me tell ya, Harbaugh was *sweating* as he watched the play unfold.

Mic’d-up footage from Hard Knocks showed as Harbaugh repeatedly told Jackson to throw the ball away during the play. At one point, Harbaugh brought the mic closer to his mouth just to emphasize that to his quarterback. When the play ended in a touchdown, Harbaugh was hilariously in disbelief.

But again, Jackson’s talents defy logic. Why settle for three when you can run around for six seconds and get a touchdown? It doesn’t have to make sense. Lamar had it all under control.

Mic’d-up Dallas Goedert told his Eagles teammates that he slowed down just to give an extra stiff-arm

“That last one was unnecessary for sure.”

The Philadelphia Eagles are off to the divisional round following their 22-10 win over the Packers on Sunday, and no play set the tone more than Dallas Goedert’s 24-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

He went out of his way to embarrass the Packers.

Goedert caught the second-down pass in the flat and went right at Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine. Goedert picked up some separation with a pair of devastating stiff-arms. And really, two stiff-arms were all that he needed to cruise into the end zone, but Goedert didn’t stop at two. At the five-yard line, it appeared that Goedert intentionally slowed down just so he could lay a third stiff-arm on Valentine.

Well, according to the mic’d-up footage, that was exactly what happened.

NFL Films showed a clip of Goedert watching the replay back from the bench. And when he saw that third stiff-arm, he said:

“That last one was unnecessary for sure. … Oh, why not? I slowed down so he can come and get some.”

That was equal parts cruel and awesome — he didn’t have to do Valentine like that. And it was the kind of play that fired up the entire Eagles team. You love to see that.

Mic’d-up video showed what a pumped Mike Evans said as he hit 1,000 yards on the Bucs’ final play

That catch was worth $3 million.

Mike Evans had himself a sensational Sunday, and he left Raymond James Stadium some $3 million wealthier.

Needing five receptions and 85 yards to both reach a $3 million incentive bonus and tie Jerry Rice for an 11th straight 1,000-yard season, Evans reached the mark on the Bucs’ final play of the regular season. It initially looked like Evans was going to fall short as the Bucs could have kneeled out the clock in a one-possession game.

But Baker Mayfield knew what was at stake for Evans, so he made sure to get his receiver the ball on the final play. You could tell just how much it meant to Evans as NFL Films released mic’d-up video of the moment.

After Evans earned his bonus and tied Rice’s record, we could hear as the receiver shouted with his teammates, “Come the (expletive) on!” He was pumped — as he should have been. That was one valuable catch.

With the win, the Bucs locked up the NFC South and will face the Commanders in the wild-card round.

Mic’d-up Saquon Barkley had a selfless response after the Eagles ran a tush push for Jalen Hurts at the 1

He’s chasing wins … not stats.

While the tush push isn’t quite the automatic touchdown in the post-Jason Kelce era as it once was, it’s still an incredibly tough play to stop when the Eagles get inside the two-yard line. It also means that Saquon Barkley misses out on some fantasy points.

He’s OK with that, though. In fact, he’s just happy that the tush push turns into six points for his team.

NFL Films released some mic’d-up video from Sunday’s win over the Panthers. Barkley had a seven-yard run to get the Eagles to the one-yard line. And though the tweet doesn’t mention that the Eagles gave Barkley another chance at the one, we got to hear the exchange as Jalen Hurts ultimately found the end zone on third down.

When Hurts tried to encourage Barkley after the running back’s missed TD chance, Barkley responded that it was fine by him.

He said, “I don’t care, bro. I’m trying to win. Let’s get it.”

That’s what being a good teammate is all about. He’s chasing wins — not stats.

Mic’d-up video showed the classy message that Sam Darnold had for Kirk Cousins after the Vikings’ win

All class.

Kirk Cousins spent six seasons with the Vikings — a run that included three Pro Bowls, a postseason win and had him ranking near the top of the franchise’s statistical leaderboard. And when Cousins moved on to join the Atlanta Falcons this past offseason, he knew Week 14’s return to Minnesota was going to be emotional.

But it was clear that Vikings players and coaches still had so much respect for Cousins.

Following the Vikings’ win over the Falcons, Sam Darnold — who passed for 347 yards and five touchdowns — made a point to let Cousins know that he’s still adored in Minnesota. The Falcons shared mic’d-up footage of the exchange.

Watch on TikTok

Darnold said:

“The people here (expletive) love you, dude. It’s awesome to see.”

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell also greeted Cousins with words of appreciation. It was nothing but class.

Fan-favorite OL was mic’d up during Chiefs’ Week 13 win vs. Raiders

The #Chiefs decided to put a microphone on one of their most beloved offensive lineman during Kansas City’s Week 13 win over the #Raiders.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive line has been a major asset for the defending Super Bowl champions this season, and veteran center Creed Humphrey has been a key part of the unit’s success.

Though his contributions don’t always show up in the stat sheet, Humphrey’s role as an anchor on the Chiefs’ front-five has helped buoy Kansas City’s offense, which has generally struggled this season due to a series of devastating injuries.

Humphrey was mic’d up for the Chiefs’ Week 13 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, and he put together an inspiring effort that lifted Kansas City to its eleventh win.

Check out the full video of Humphrey’s mic’d up performance, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

Though Kansas City’s coaching staff may elect to shake up their offensive line in the coming weeks, fans can expect Humphrey to continue dominating opponents as the Chiefs make their push for a third-consecutive Super Bowl title.
