TaylorMade Golf and G/Fore team up for exclusive footwear collection

TaylorMade Golf and G/Fore have teamed up for a limited edition footwear release in three different colors for men and women.

TaylorMade Golf and G/Fore, two of golf’s most popular brands, have teamed up for a limited edition shoe release.

TaylorMade clubs and G/Fore footwear are in pro shops and golf specialty stores throughout the United States, but now they are coming together to create a type of collection that we rarely see.

The collection will feature three different colorways and styles of G/Fore’s signature Gallivanter and MG4+ model. The golf shoes will come in colors that are suitable for year-round wear. The three shoes will consist of Navy camouflage, white, red and black camouflage and light blue for women.

The Packard is lightweight and features hand-selected Pittards of England of a soft full grain, waterproof leather upper with a tortoise printed saddle. FJ’s Ortholite FitBed has a molded heel cup and the VersaTrax+ outsole is designed to give Tour proven fit and performance.

The Tarlow, as seen on the feet of PGA Tour players such as Justin Thomas, Ian Poulter and Billy Horschel, is a cap toe design from hand-selected leather with calfskin details. All variations of the shoes will include Gold Pulsar cleats by Softspikes that delivers no-slip grip and a great look as you finish your swing.

The sunglasses are inspired by Leight’s favorite golf legend, Chi Chi Rodriguez and are from the Elkgrove Sun collection.

Best men’s golf shoes of 2022

Golfweek has put together our top picks for the best golf shoes of 2022.

For the weekend warrior getting in a post-work evening nine to the group who is always first on the tee sheet, every handicap needs a pair of reliable golf shoes.

With that in mind, Golfweek has put together our top picks for the best golf shoes of 2022.

Golfers pay close attention to the kinds of irons they use and how all their clubs fit their swing, but shoes can be just as important. Ground force is one of the biggest factors in distance and having the right pair of shoes can help you hit bombs in all weather conditions.

FootJoy Fuel golf shoes

FootJoy’s sporty new Fuel offers all-day comfort with spikeless traction to keep golfers firmly in place when they swing.

Gear: FootJoy Fuel golf shoes
Price: Men’s: $129.99 (laced)/$159.99 (BOA). Women’s: $119.99 (laced)/$149.99 (BOA)
Specs: Spikeless, waterproof shoes available in four colorways for men in sizes 7-15 and three colorways for women in sizes 5-11.

For the past 76 seasons, the most-played shoes on the PGA Tour have been FootJoy. With a stable of offerings that includes the classic-looking Premiere Series, the athletic HyperFlex and the do-it-all FootJoy Pro/SL, that streak is going to be tough to stop. Numerous golfers on the LPGA Tour also wear FootJoy.

For 2022, FootJoy is offering a new shoe for both men and women, the Fuel, which combines traction elements with comfort technologies and a sporty sneaker style. Will Zalatoris, Max Homa and newly signed FootJoy staff player Jessica Korda will wear the Fuel regularly in 2022.

With a rounded toe and a full fit across the forefoot and instep, the Fuel was designed to be comfortable right out of the box and a shoe that golfers can walk in all day. To compliment that shape, FootJoy added a new compound called StratoLite foam in the midsole to provide extra lightweight cushioning.

To ensure your feet do not slip, FootJoy designed the Fuel with scores of small traction elements in the sole and a piece called a Power Stabilizer in the forefoot. The Power Stabilizer extends slightly beyond the outside of the upper to provide a more-stabile platform for your swing

The Fuel has a synthetic leather upper that is waterproof, and the shoes come with a one-year waterproof warranty.

The women’s version of the Fuel has all the features and technologies designed into the men’s shoe, but they are designed to fit a woman’s foot shape.

Both the men’s and women’s Fuel is available in a laced version as well as a version with the laceless BOA system that allows golfers to turn a small dial behind their heel to tighten the shoe and create a customized fit.
