The Yankees fan who interfered with Mookie Betts turned into a hysterical World Series meme

Hey, at least the memes were good.

A New York Yankees fan was seemingly ejected from Wednesday night’s 2024 World Series Game 4 for trying to rip Los Angeles Yankees superstar Mookie Betts’ glove off during an out.

While we’re not even going to pretend why this person thought this was a good idea, the bizarre World Series moment did inspire some fantastic memes.

People seemed to connect this Yankees fan to sketch comedy genius Tim Robinson, so you should expect some I Think You Should Leave memes in here by default.

We’re sure this New York fan won’t be back at an MLB game anytime soon, but we can enjoy these memes while we shake our heads at how stupid this was.

Will Levis’ tragic surrender cobra after throwing a Titans pick has become a fantastic NFL meme

The Will Levis surrender cobra is now a great NFL meme.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis didn’t have a great time in Chicago on Sunday, as his team lost to the new-look Bears, his new coach publicly ripped into him for how he played and he became the subject of a new meme.

Levis threw an absolutely terrible interception to Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson during the game en route to a 24-17 defeat, and the quarterback falling to his knees and making the “surrender cobra” pose right after the pick has given the internet some fresh meme fodder for the season.

The former Kentucky star is trying to establish himself as the long-term answer at quarterback for the Titans, but performances (and memes) like this won’t help his case in Music City.

However, making such an excellent “surrender cobra” this early in the season gives the internet plenty to work with.

Aaron Rodgers’ despondent reaction to a Jets interception turned into a hysterical meme

*record scratch* You’re probably wondering how he got here.

After a promising start, Aaron Rodgers the New York Jets offense came back down to Earth against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.

In the quarterback’s first game since he tore his Achilles at the beginning of the 2023 season, Rodgers and the Jets offense struggled to generate many positives until hitting a free-play touchdown late in the third quarter.

On a very unfortunate interception throw, one of the ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast cameras caught Rodgers making one of those “oh boy, this isn’t good” faces into the distance.

You could tell that the Jets quarterback wasn’t having a great night in Santa Clara as his NFL return wasn’t going as well as hoped.

Of course, Rodgers making a face like that turned into an instant meme.

How could it not?

The ‘nobody will remember’ memes about your salary, how busy you were are back and they are very, very funny

This meme is so funny.

Certain memes will be remembered from the summer of 2024, including the “very demure, very mindful” TikTok trend, but I’m throwing in a vote for a new one that popped up in August.

Well, here’s the thing: as Know Your Meme pointed out, this was a trend that popped back in 2022. But, whatever, it’s August, we’re all sitting around waiting for football to start, so we’ll count this as a trend now, too.

It’s simple: You start with a thing about how no one will remember your salary, how busy you were and how many hours you worked. But then you fill in how people will remember … all kinds of wacky stuff.

A sampling:

Joe Biden withdrawing from the U.S. presidential election had the sports world making so many memes

Sports fans remain undefeated.

Amid intense speculation and pressure from inside Democratic circles since his debate performance, President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he would withdraw from the U.S. presidential election against Donald Trump.

Biden, who turns 82 in November, would have been the first U.S. president to hold office into his mid-80s had he been re-elected. And there was already growing doubt about his ability to handle the office for four more years.

Despite the major political implications (and world-impacting consequences of the decision), the sports world reacted to the news just how we would have expected … with plenty of jokes and memes.

This was how Twitter/X reacted

JJ Redick saying that he’s going to use math to coach the Lakers turned into a fantastic meme

J.J. Redick is a man of … math.

New Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick took a brash approach to introducing himself to fans and media on Monday afternoon.

He also provided NBA fans with a brand-new meme.

While talking about how he’ll approach the job, Redick seemed to allude to his willingness to use analytics in his process by dropping a very simple line: “I’m going to use math; I’m going to use math.”

Okay, okay, quit your smirking. We all know what he means by this, but the way he said it is kind of hilarious.

Utilizing analytics continue to be a huge part of a successful stint as a head coach, but the way Redick shared his intent to take advantage of them was … very ready to be meme’d.

As you can probably imagine, NBA fans went wild with this one. It doesn’t take a mathematician to see where this one was going once he said it.

Jim Harbaugh’s goofy victory dance after Ravens playoff win inspired some incredible memes

Look at Jim Harbaugh go!

The Baltimore Ravens’ 34-10 thumping of the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round on Saturday got Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh very amped.

He was so excited about the huge playoff victory that he busted a move in the Baltimore locker room after the victory, breaking out the kind of celebratory dancing usually reserved for wedding dance floors or the climax of high school movies.

Harbaugh absolutely cut loose and broke out his best dance moves to the delight of his fellow Ravens. We’re not going to try and rank postseason coach dances, but this one has to be up there, right?

Just look at Harbaugh go! He’s so happy!

This kind of victory dance is exactly what the NFL playoffs are for, and fans absolutely got a kick out of Harbaugh’s fancy feet. In fact, they turned his locker room dance into a fantastic meme.

You’ll want to cut a rug and dance yourself once you get done laughing at all of these hilarious memes.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot menacingly creeping behind a referee became an instant meme

WATCH OUT FOR THE POP-TART!

Thursday’s Pop-Tarts Bowl turned into one of the most enjoyable nights on the sports calendar this year, thanks in large part to that wily Pop-Tart mascot.

There were just too many fun shenanigans that Pop-Tart mascot got into to mention them all there, from his hilarious entrance to his even funnier exit.

While the Pop-Tart Mascot had a great sense of humor about being turned into an edible mascot for the Kansas State Wildcats, he didn’t leave this world without giving us a fantastic meme.

The image in question featured the Pop-Tart mascot creeping up behind a smiling referee during the game. Check it out below.
