Lamar Jackson finished with perfect passer rating as Ravens demolish Broncos 41-10

Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson finished with a perfect passer rating in Week 10 as the Ravens defeated the Broncos 41-10

The Ravens spent all week talking about removing the taste of an ugly loss to the Browns in Week 8. John Harbaugh’s team responded solidly, dominating the upstart Broncos 41-10 at M&T Bank Stadium.

Denver entered the game 5-3 with the NFL’s third-ranked defense, but the Baltimore offense shredded them, as Vance Joseph’s defense surrendered 396 yards and five touchdowns on the afternoon.

With talk about Josh Allen potentially winning MVP, Jackson completed 16 of 19 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday, marking his fourth perfect passer rating.

Derrick Henry finished with 101 yards rushing and two touchdowns, moving past Barry Sanders for 10th on the all-time touchdowns list and going over 1,000 yards for the sixth time in his career.

Zay Flowers had another 100-yard game, finishing with 127 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

On defense, Zach Orr’s unit surrendered 319 yards, including 197 passing and, most importantly, just ten points.

Baltimore will now prepare for Cincinnati on a short week and Amazon’s Thursday Night Football.

Is Marlon Humphrey playing today? Injury updates for Ravens cornerback

Ian Rapoport reports that Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (knee) is expected to play, and will likely be on pitch count Sunday against Broncos.

The Ravens are just hours away from hosting the Broncos in an intriguing Week 9 matchup, and star cornerback Marlon Humphrey is expected to return to the lineup.

Ian Rapoport reports that Humphrey will likely be on a pitch count, but he’s expected to start against a solid Denver passing attack.

After missing the first two days of practice, Lamar Jackson returned to the field Friday and will play Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

After Friday’s practice, Jackson said there was never a doubt that he would play.

The Ravens have one defensive lineman, Nnamdi Madubuike, who isn’t on the injury report.

The Ravens placed nose tackle Michael Pierce (calf) on injured reserve earlier this week, and Brent Urban (concussion) was ruled out after not practicing all week.

Travis Jones (ankle) and Broderick Washington (knee) returned to practice Friday.

The Ravens elevated nose tackle Josh Tupou and defensive end Chris Wormley from the practice squad.

Ravens have three players make the PFF midseason All-Pro team

Ravens Lanar Jackson, Marlon Humphrey and Derrick Henry make the PFF midseason all-Pro team

With the 2024 NFL season at the halfway mark, PFF has released its midseason All-Pro team, which features three Baltimore Ravens players.

The choice of Lamar Jackson as the mid-season All-Pro quarterback is not surprising in the least bit, as the already two-time MVP is in the middle of perhaps his best season to date and well on his way to a third MVP award if he continues at this pace. Jackson has the chance to become the first player in NFL history to pass for over 4,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 in the same season.

This is the best version of Lamar Jackson we’ve ever seen,” PFF’s Gordon McGuinness wrote. “Most impressive through eight weeks has been his ability to avoid negative plays in the passing game, with just four turnover-worthy plays as a passer so far this season.

First-year Raven Derrick Henry was named the midseason All-Pro running back. Pairing Henry with Jackson in the backfield has been everything anyone could have hoped for. The duo has combined to give the Ravens a seemingly unstoppable ground attack. Henry has been the ultimate closer for Baltimore this season, routinely ripping off big runs near the end of the game to stick the dagger in the heart of opposing defenses for good.

Henry’s 91.5 PFF rushing grade leads the NFL, and his rushing yards after contact would rank 11th when compared to everyone else’s total rushing yards,” McGuinness wrote. “He has been one of the best running backs in the league at creating big plays, with his 19 runs of 10-plus yards tied for the most.

The final Raven to make the team was cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Humphrey was in the middle of one the best seasons of his career before missing the game against the Cleveland Browns with an injury suffered during the team’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — a game in which Humphrey caught two interceptions from quarterback Baker Mayfield. Humphrey’s four interceptions this year are the most of any player on Baltimore’s defense.

Humphrey is one of the stickiest cornerbacks in football through the first half of the year,” McGuinness wrote. “His 85.1 PFF coverage grade trails only Zyon McCollum among cornerbacks with 200-plus snaps this season.

Report: Ravens star CB avoided major knee injury in win over Buccaneers

Ravens star CB Marlon Humphrey could miss time after avoiding serious knee injury in win over Buccaneers

The Ravens will practice on Wednesday in preparation for a Week 8 matchup against the Browns, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey will likely be a limited participant if he practices.

Humphrey was forced to leave Monday night’s win over Tampa with a knee injury, erasing a dominant performance that saw the cornerback intercept Baker Mayfield twice.

On Wednesday, Ian Rapoport reported that Humphrey avoided a severe knee injury but could be a game-time decision for Sunday afternoon in Cleveland.

Humphrey has performed at a Pro Bowl level this season, and he’s among the league leaders with four interceptions and seven passes defended. If Humphrey can’t play, Baltimore has rookies Nate Wiggins and T.J. Tampa at cornerback.

Arthur Maulet just returned to the lineup as a potential contributor as well.
