With Eagles training camp quickly approaching, we’re looking at every player to wear the No. 95 for Philadelphia

Ten players who spent time with Jacksonville during their respective NFL careers are among the list of nominees (years with Jaguars):

  • Justin Blackmon, wide receiver, Oklahoma State (2012-2013)
  • Marco Coleman, defensive end, Georgia Tech (2002)
  • Jarett Dillard, wide receiver, Rice (2009-2011)
  • Vaughn Dunbar, running back, Indiana (1995)
  • Deon Figures, cornerback, Colorado (1997-1998)

Beasley, Blackmon, Dillard, and Hardy were all drafted by the Jaguars. Posluszny stands as the franchise’s all-time leading tackler and Beasley is second in team history in interceptions.

Voting for the Class of 2024 will happen through the remainder of June, but the inductees won’t be announced until January of next year.

MSU DL coach Marco Coleman reportedly leaving Spartans for Georgia Tech

It appears there will be at least one notable shakeup on the Michigan State football coaching staff

It appears there will be at least one notable shakeup on the Michigan State football coaching staff.

Kelly Quinlan of JacketsOnline is reporting that Michigan State defensive lineman coach Marco Coleman is leaving the Spartans to return to Georgia Tech. No formal announcement has been made by Michigan State football at the publishing time of this post.

Coleman spent one season as Michigan State’s defensive lineman coach after joining the Spartans’ coaching staff before the 2022 season. He was previously at Georgia Tech from 2019 – 2021 under previous head coach Geoff Collins.

Coleman played his college ball at Georgia Tech so there are obvious ties to the Yellow Jackets that make this move not shocking. However, it’s not an ideal loss for the Spartans with Coleman appearing to be a solid position coach and strong recruiter for Michigan State.

Michigan State football has officially hired Marco Coleman as its new defensive line coach and run game coordinator.

The Spartans announced the hiring on Wednesday, but the news of Coleman joining the staff had been reported last week. He will replace former longtime assistant Ron Burton in coaching the defensive line.

Coleman played his college ball at Georgia Tech before having a 14-year NFL career. Following his playing career, Coleman served as the assistant defensive line coach with the Oakland Raiders in 2018, and has spent the past three seasons at Georgia Tech as the outside linebackers and defensive ends coach.

Report: Michigan State football tabs Marco Coleman as new DL coach

It appears that MSU has its new defensive line coach and it is a longtime NFL veteran

Michigan State and former MSU defensive line coach Ron Burton mutually agreed to part ways earlier this offseason, leaving a vacancy on the Michigan State coaching staff. That vacancy has reportedly been filled by Marco Coleman, who will take over as the Spartans new defensive line coach.

Coleman is a native of Dayton, Ohio, and played his college football at Georgia Tech. After a successful college career, Coleman would get drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft before going on to have a successful 14-year career in the league. His NFL career totaled him 520 tackles, 65.5 sacks and 18 forced fumbles.

Following his playing career, Coleman has taken up a strong interest in coaching and has built up a solid resume to bring to East Lansing with him. In 2018, Coleman served as the assistant defensive line coach with the Oakland Raiders. After that, Coleman would go home to his alma mater and spent the past 3 seasons at Georgia Tech as the outside linebackers and defensive ends coach.

Mel Tucker made the move to pry Coleman away from his alma mater and come to East Lansing as their new DL coach.
