Another Notre Dame target sets their commitment date

The Irish target has a commitment date set

[autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] just added safety safety Taebron Bennie-Powell to their 2024 recruiting class and it could grow again in about a month.

North Carolina athlete [autotag]Malcolm Ziglar[/autotag] announced that he will be making his commitment on July 17th at 1:00 p.m. EST. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 195 pound prospect will make his selection from eight different schools.

Ziglar is just coming off his official visit to South Bend this past weekend and the visit may have cemented his decision. There still is a visit to home state North Carolina set up for this weekend and along with South Carolina, the three schools seem like the likeliest to gain a commitment from the 280th overall player according to the 247Sports composite.

Ziglar most likely will end up as a safety and the Irish currently have Bennie-Powell and Kennedy Urlacher committed although one of their athlete commits could end up there as well.

Notre Dame offers 2024 North Carolina defensive back

The Irish are after the North Carolina safety

There aren’t many better schools to play secondary in college football aside from [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag].

The list of past and current stars roaming the back-end of the defense is long, but the need to add other is always there. One of those upcoming targets is 2024 North Carolina safety [autotag]Malcolm Ziglar[/autotag], who was offered a scholarship by the Irish.

The 6-foot, 2-inch and 198 pound safety is one of the best in the country, rated as the 25th best safety and 279th overall player according to the 247Sports composite.

Ziglar is also a track star along with his exploits on the gridiron. During his junior season, the athlete played both ways but will end up defense when he arrives on a college campus.

The speed, skills and length have made Ziglar a wanted prospect among college programs and now that Notre Dame has entered the picture, you have to think they’ll be a player in his recruitment.
