Madden 24 ratings for Rams’ quarterbacks and linebackers

Check out the Madden ratings for Matthew Stafford, Ernest Jones and the rest of the Rams’ quarterbacks and linebackers

The final set of player ratings for “Madden NFL 24” were released on Friday with the quarterbacks and middle linebackers finishing things off. For the Rams, no player at either of those positions earned an overall rating of higher than 75, which is disappointing news for both Matthew Stafford and Ernest Jones.

For Stafford, he’s only the 22nd-highest-rated quarterback in the game, tied with Daniel Jones at 75 overall. The Rams’ Jones also checks in with a 75 overall rating, significantly higher than any other inside linebacker on the team.

Here are the ‘Madden 24’ ratings for every Broncos cornerback

Broncos star Pat Surtain is the third-best cornerback in ‘Madden NFL 24’ with a 94 overall rating, a big jump from last year (83 overall).

(EA Sports, Madden NFL 24)

EA Sports has been rolling out player ratings for “Madden NFL 24” and we now know the ratings for every Denver Broncos cornerback in this year’s version of the popular video game.

Pat Surtain (94 OVR) is the third-best cornerback in the video game, only trailing Jaire Alexander (95 OVR) and Jalen Ramsey (97 OVR). This marks a huge increase from when Surtain was rated 83 OVR in last year’s game.

Behind Surtain, Denver’s next-best cornerback is K’Waun Williams (76 OVR), followed by Damarri Mathis (72 OVR) and rookie Riley Moss (70 OVR). Veterans Tremon Smith (69 OVR) and Essang Bassey (66 OVR) round out the top six.

EA Sports made a very curious decision to not include Ja’Quan McMillian or Art Green, two young cornerbacks who arguably have better odds to make the 53-man roster than Faion Hicks (64 OVR) or Delonte Hood (61 OVR) this summer.

Here are the ‘Madden 24’ ratings for 49ers cornerbacks

Madden 24 ratings for the #49ers CBs.

One of the surest signs that football season is right around the corner is the slow release of player ratings for “Madden NFL 24.”  Cornerbacks were among the players who received their stats for the game Thursday.

There are always some in-season ratings adjustments by EA Sports, but the 49ers’ CB room may see some significant ratings adjustments once the season starts. They have a slew of players who may wind up dramatically outperforming their preseason projection, which could make their ratings climb in this year’s and future iterations of the game.

Let’s look at the overall ratings for the 49ers’ CBs;

Full TE grades for the #49ers on Madden 24:

The 49ers tight end room still has to prove that there’s quality ont he roster behind George Kittle. Overall ratings dished out by EA Sports for “Madden NFL 24” paint a grim picture of what San Francisco is working with at TE.

From a blocking standpoint they should be mostly fine, but fans using the 49ers in Madden may have a hard time finding additional pass catchers. That’s been a problem for the real-life 49ers as well, which is why they spent a pair of draft picks on TEs this year.

Here’s what the full TE grades are for San Francisco in “Madden 24.”

Madden 24 ratings for the Rams’ cornerbacks and tight ends

EA Sports released ratings for the Rams’ cornerbacks and tight ends, led by Cobie Durant and Tyler Higbee

Next up on EA Sports’ ratings release schedule for players in “Madden NFL 24” are the cornerbacks and tight ends. Those two position groups yield some pretty disappointing numbers for the Rams, with only one player in total earning a rating of at least 80.

At cornerback, Cobie Durant is the team’s highest-rated player with a 73 overall, followed by Robert Rochell and a host of other players who are sub-70. Tyler Higbee is the 18th-best tight end at 80 overall, a respectable number for the veteran.

Here’s a look at the ratings for Los Angeles’ corners and tight ends, excluding Ahkello Witherspoon, Vincent Gray, Christian Sims and Nikola Kalinic, who don’t have ratings yet in Madden 24.

Daron Payne reacts to his Madden NFL 24 rating

Daron Payne weighs in on his Madden rating.

[anyclip pubname=”2123″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8169″]

As EA Sports revealed its player ratings for “Madden NFL 24” this week, fans and players around the league reacted.

While some fans likely take the ratings a bit too seriously, the players feel a bit differently. Every year, players take to social media to take issue with their ratings.

Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and wide receiver Terry McLaurin were Washington’s highest-rated players in the popular video game. Each had a 92 rating.

It’s no surprise Allen had the highest rating of the defensive linemen. But it may have been a surprise that defensive end Chase Young had a higher rating [85] than Payne [83]. Young missed 13 games with a knee injury last season, while Payne had a breakout season.

Payne took notice of his rating on Twitter.

We doubt Payne was too upset; it looks like he was having some fun. He did add one more comment, and he’s absolutely correct.

Whatever you think of Madden ratings, an 83 is ridiculous for Payne, considering he’s coming off a season in which he had 18 tackles for loss and 11.5 from the defensive tackle position.

Regardless, the Commanders love when Payne plays with a chip on his shoulder.
