Madden NFL 22, Total War: Warhammer 3, and Roboquest coming to Xbox Game Pass soon

Here are all the Xbox Game Pass games being added and removed in February 2022.

Xbox Game Pass keeps getting bigger, and now Microsoft has confirmed a brand new suite of games coming to the service very soon, including Madden NFL 22, Total War: Warhammer III, and a brand new Game Preview for Roboquest.

The full list of new titles confirmed via Microsoft’s Xbox Wire can be found in this list:

  • Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (Cloud) – 15 Feb.
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator (Console) – 17 Feb.
  • Madden NFL 22 (EA Play, Console + PC) – 17 Feb.
  • Total War: Warhammer III (PC) – 17 Feb.
  • Roboquest (PC) – 22 Feb.
  • Galactic Civilizations III (PC) – 24 Feb.
  • Super Mega Baseball 3 (Console) – 24 Feb.
  • Alice: Madness Returns (EA Play, PC) – 28 Feb.

That’s a good list of games, but that’s not everything that’s coming to Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers that enjoy streaming their games on their phone from the cloud will find that easier than ever with these titles receiving touch support:

  • Dreamscaper.
  • Firewatch.
  • Lake.
  • The Pedestrian.
  • Yakuza 3 Remastered.
  • Yakuza 4 Remastered.

Being able to play Yakuza wherever we go is a brilliant addition. Unfortunately, some games are also being removed from the service:

  • Hypnospace Outlaw (Cloud, Console, and PC).
  • Killer Queen Black (Cloud and Console).
  • Stealth Inc 2 (Cloud and Console).
  • Touhou Luna Nights (Cloud, Console, and PC).
  • Titanfall (EA Play, Console and PC).

In addition to the above announcements, it has also been confirmed that Sea of Thieves will have a limited-time event starting February 17, where your crew will be able to undertake new Adventures.

Overall it’s these are excellent additions to the service, and PC subscribers should be delighted with games like Total War: Warhammer III being added to their library. For console fans it’s a bit thinner on the ground, though Madden NFL 22 is guaranteed to keep a lot of people very happy.

Xbox Game Pass could get even better soon though, with rumors indicating Cyberpunk 2077 might come to Xbox Game Pass too. We can dream.

Cowboys LB Micah Parsons to represent NFC in Pro Bowl Madden 22 Edition for world record attempt

The uber-competitive rookie phenom will be part of a world record attempt as the video game will be projected over the Las Vegas Strip. | From @ToddBrock24f7

Micah Parsons will be looking to take down the AFC both days of Pro Bowl Weekend… and maybe set a new world record in the process.

The Cowboys rookie linebacker will be teaming up with Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson to represent the NFC in the Pro Bowl Madden 22 Edition, to be played Saturday evening in Las Vegas, a day prior to the league’s annual all-star game.

Parsons and Jefferson will take on the AFC, led by Browns running back Nick Chubb and Chargers safety Derwin James. The teams will reportedly play “Superstar KO multiplayer mode,” with the action to be streamed on the NFL’s YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook pages, as well as the official Madden Twitch account and iHeart Radio.

As if that weren’t enough, organizers of this year’s event will be aiming for the Guinness World Book of Records, too, as the largest projected video game display, to be shown over the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Ex-Bengals star Chad Johnson will host the game at Allegiant Stadium with Charissa Thompson; former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch will join in as well.

Given how ultra-competitive Parsons has proven to be this year over everything from bowling to chess to Connect Four to Scrabble to locker room trash can basketball, it’s fair to say the self-proclaimed “best Madden player in the league” is eager to notch a win in this contest, too.

Then on Sunday, Parsons will suit up alongside his NFC teammates for the 2022 Pro Bowl to close out his incredible rookie season.

Did Madden 22 forget Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is a lefty?

Did Madden 22 forget Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is a lefty?

The annual release of Madden 22 has arrived and with it comes a fresh attempt at overhauling the NFL’s official simulation franchise. Gamers and football fans alike rejoiced this past weekend with the release of the game; but Dolphins fans caught a bit of a surprise when they fired up the game to play with their favorite team.

Second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa: throwing righty?

Sure enough, the pregame promos and warmup shots show Tagovailoa throwing the ball with his right hand instead of his left. Actual gameplay has Tagovailoa properly oriented as a left-handed quarterback, so this appears to be a bug or oversight in the pregame festivities only.

Perhaps you’ve heard the stories of Tagovailoa’s father, Galu, forcing Tua to learn to throw left-handed as a child despite being a natural righty? If not, we can use this spoof by Madden as a good chance to revisit Tagovailoa’s father’s teachings to his oldest son.

“You know, I switched him to a left hander. But he’s actually a right hander…It just became fluent and he just grew into it. That’s the crazy part about it. I never thought I could make him adapt to that. As we constantly kept putting the ball on his left hand, eventually he grew into throwing the ball with his left.” — Galu Tagovailoa via AL.com

We don’t think that’s what Madden had in mind here, but never the less Dolphins fans can take solace in knowing that the actual gameplay gets this important detail about the Dolphins’ quarterback right. And one would image that a game patch is just around that corner that will fix this imagery for the year — so enjoy the odd sight while you can, gamers!

Watch: Chargers react to player appearances in ‘Madden 22’

Check out how some of the Chargers players look like in the annual video game.

EA Sports’ Madden 22 has officially dropped to the general public.

For many years now, the annual video game has been scrutinized for issues like in-game glitches, player ratings and in this case, facial and body features.

Various members of the Chargers were shown what they and their teammates look like in the new game.

For the most part, the comparisons were a mixed bag.

Check it out:

Seahawks S Quandre Diggs not fond of his likeness in ‘Madden 22’

Madden has been around in some form since 1988. While the popular game has grown and developed with the times, every year there are some notable duds – including player likenesses. The latest version is no exception to the rule.

WATCH: Justin Herbert has hilariously classic reaction to low Madden 22 rating

While his teammates were shocked and upset at his low Madden 22 rating, Justin Herbert’s reaction is hilarious and beyond classic.

Whether you agree or disagree, the NFL world gets buzzing when the annual EA Madden ratings are released, as football players look to see how the classic video game judges their talent and assesses a number to their skill-set.

For the Los Angeles Chargers, it is hard to argue that quarterback Justin Herbert has a shockingly low rating of 80, especially considering he was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2020 and had one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history for a QB.

With training camp going on, the Chargers put together a video on Tik Tok of players reacting to Herbert’s low score. Here’s some of what we got:

Chris Harris: “80?!? Ah, come on man… That’s uncalled for Madden. Our quarterback should be close to the 90s!”

Keenan Allen: “Damn! What he can’t do?”

Austin Eckler: “So every other rookie from last year better be below 80…”

While it’s great to see his teammates sticking up for him, watching Herbert’s reaction to the rating may be the funniest of all.

“Sweet! I grew up playing Madden, so just to be in the game is pretty cool.”

If there was ever a more humble or level-headed guy, we’re yet to see him. Just another example of Herbert being a great leader off the field, and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Frank Ragnow leads the way for Lions players in latest Madden 22 ratings

The Madden ratings were not kind for the Detroit Lions, but there are notable ratings that are quite interesting among the team

In the midst of the opening of training camp, EA Sports released their latest Madden 22 ratings for every player and team. With the new regime in place, not many people have high hopes for the Detroit Lions this coming season, and it showed with the ratings that were given to the team and players.

With only five players managing to receive an 80 overall rating or higher, the team came at a 74 overall rating, coming in at third-worst in the league behind the Carolina Panthers (73 overall) and the New York Jets (72 overall).

Frank Ragnow comes in as the highest-rated Lion with an 88 overall rating, which was good enough to (barely) crack Madden’s Top-100 players — coming in right at 100. To no surprise, he is the lone Lions representative. Ragnow is easily the best player on the Lions and will be looked upon as a cornerstone for the organization going through a rebuild.

T.J. Hockenson follows with an 85 overall rating, landing him as the 8th-best tight end in the league. That seems disrespectful considering who is ahead of him: Hunter Henry, Rob Gronkowski, and Austin Hooper. None of those three tight ends came near what Hockenson produced last year and it leaves you scratching your head.

Next comes Michael Brockers (82 overall), who will be looked upon providing a veteran presence, especially for the two rookies, Levi Onwuzurike and Alim McNeill, while providing a force up the middle. Trey Flowers comes in with an 81 overall rating as a right outside linebacker, following suit to his position change from end. He will be a player to keep your eye on with the new coaching and see how he responds.

Finishing out the top five lands us in the special teams category with Pro Bowl sensation punter Jack Fox with an 80 overall rating. Fox lit the NFL on fire leading, averaging 49.1 yards per punt, ranking third in the league, and was easily was one of the better players for the Lions last season.

To round out the top ten Lions, Jamie Collins (79 overall), Tyrell Williams (79 overall), Romeo Okwara (79 overall), D’Andre Swift (78 overall), and Taylor Decker (78 overall). Jamaal Williams finishes outside the top ten with a 77 overall rating, but interesting how close the two running backs are rated.

For the rookies, Penei Sewell comes at a respectable 75 overall, landing him eighth among rookies. McNeill and Onwuzurike each earn a 71 overall rating, Ifeatu Melifonwu and Amon-Ra St. Brown receive a 67 overall rating, Derrick Barnes gets a 66 rating, and Jemar Jefferson lands with a 64 rating.

Since these two are tied at the hip with comparisons, Jared Goff comes in with a 77 overall rating, while ex-Lion Matthew Stafford receives an 83 overall rating.

Other interesting rating nuggets for the Lions:

  • Brockers comes in with the highest tackle rating with a 96, ahead of Aaron Donald with a 95.
  • Williams ranks as the third-best back in the carrying attribute with a 97 rating. Also, rates at the 20th-best back in stiff-arm with an 85 rating.
  • Melifonwu ranks as the 18th-best player (95 rating) in the jumping rating, the best among rookies
  • Goff ranks as the 11th best (86 rating) in medium throw accuracy, 12th best quarterback (88 rating) in the play-action category, and short-throw accuracy (90 rating). But comes at 29th overall with an 89 throw power rating.
  • Kalif Raymond rates as the fastest Lion with a 94 rating in the speed section.
  • Ragnow comes in as the 13th-toughest player rating with a 98 overall, but it should be a 99 considering he played with a broken throat.

Which five Miami Dolphins rank highest in ‘Madden’ player grades?

Which five Miami Dolphins rank highest in ‘Madden’ player grades?

The Miami Dolphins’ roster is in as good of shape as it has ever been in recent memory. The Dolphins are young, deep in many places and figure to continue to steadily improve throughout the course of the 2021 campaign. Not every player’s path to improvement will be linear; but there shouldn’t be very many members of the Dolphins’ roster that regress due to a decline in physical skills.

But who are currently, at this point in time, the best of the best?

Which Miami Dolphins players are categorized as the team’s best current talent will vary depending on who you ask; but a new resource is available to explore the question: EA Sports’ annual ‘Madden’ game is set for release and with it comes a refreshed set of player rankings for the year ahead.

Which members of the Miami Dolphins claim the top spots? Here are the top-5 ranked Miami Dolphins in ‘Madden 22’:

  • No. 1: Cornerback Xavien Howard

No surprises here. Howard was a 1st-team All-Pro in 2020 and led the NFL in interceptions for the second time in three years. Those caliber of ball-hawking skills are a first class ticket to a top ranking. Sure enough, Howard is one of the best rated corners in all of football with a 91 overall score.

  • No. 2: Cornerback Byron Jones

There may be friction with Howard and Miami because of his pay relative to Jones, but the game developer would like to remind you that Jones is no slouch himself. Jones is Miami’s second-highest graded player with an 88 overall.

  • No. 3: Kicker Jason Sanders

A little more respect for Jason Sanders is probably due if we are being honest. Perhaps a duplicate season of 2020 is necessary for Sanders to get a boost to his 85 overall grade with the team; but considering how clutch he was in 2020, we’d say this one is a little low.

  • No. 4: Tight End Mike Gesicki

Gesicki’s growth as a player has to be exciting for the Dolphins; although his future role is going to be a fascinating one to watch as he enters into a contract year. Madden thinks highly of the fourth-year tight end, however. They graded him as an 85 overall and tied for Miami’s third best player.

  • No. 5: Wide Receiver Will Fuller

Fuller is the only new addition of 2021 to make the cut and he, too, was tied for the third-best overall score on the team with an 85 overall. His potential impact on this offense is undeniable; he just needs to serve his Week 1 suspension and stay healthy.
