Auburn at LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Auburn at LSU odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 1 Auburn Tigers (18-1, 6-0 SEC) and the LSU Tigers (12-7, 1-5) meet Wednesday at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Auburn vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Auburn has rattled off 11 consecutive victories since its lone loss of the season at Duke Dec. 4. While Auburn has picked up plenty of wins, it is just 1-6 against the spread (ATS) in the past 7 outings. The Under has cashed in 5 of the past 7 games, too.

Auburn held off Tennessee 53-51 in a low-scoring game at home Saturday, although the Volunteers easily covered as 6.5-point underdogs while the Under (141.5) cashed.

LSU is unranked, and it’s having a difficult time. LSU has dropped 2 in a row and 5 of the past 6 outings while going just 5-6 ATS in the past 11 games. However, LSU has covered 3 in a row. The Under is on a 5-1 run in the previous 6 outings.

Auburn at LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

Auburn 78, LSU 69

Moneyline

Auburn (-900) will cost you 9 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not nearly enough return. You can’t bet Auburn straight up, or even as part of a multi-leg parlay. Including Auburn will kill all of the value in your ticket.

PASS.

Against the spread

BACK LSU +11.5 (-105) at home, as it figures to be a little bit of a thorn in the side of Auburn -11.5 (-115).

Yes, Auburn is No. 1, and it hasn’t lost outright since early December. However, Auburn is just 1-6 ATS in the past 7 games and 0-4 ATS in the previous 4 as a double-digit favorite.

LSU may not be winning a lot, but it has covered 3 in a row. LSU has covered 2 of the past 3 meetings in Baton Rouge, too.

Over/Under

UNDER 148.5 (-105) is the lean in this tangle of the Tigers.

The total has gone low in 5 of the past 7 games for Auburn, while cashing in the previous 2 true road outings.

For LSU, the total has gone low in the past 2 outings, while hitting in 5 of the past 6 outings. LSU has scored 73 or fewer points in 5 of the past 6 outings, while allowing 80 or fewer points in 5 of the past 6 conference tilts.

LSU at Alabama odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Alabama odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (12-6, 1-4 SEC) and the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide (16-3, 5-1) meet Saturday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Tigers hit the road with just a single victory across the past 5 outings, including a 68-57 loss at Texas A&M last Saturday (Jan. 18). However, LSU did cover as an 11.5-point underdog as the Under (146.5) connected. LSU has covered the past 2 games, while the Under is 4-1 in the past 5 outings.

The Crimson Tide have rolled up some serious offense lately, dropping Vanderbilt 103-87 last time out Tuesday as an 11.5-point favorite at Coleman. Alabama is averaging 102.5 points per game (PPG) in the past 2 games, and the Crimson Tide have hit the century mark 4 times in the past 7 outings. Bama is 7-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past 8 outings, while the Over is 5-2 in the past 7 games.

Alabama has won 4 straight meetings in this series, including a 109-92 victory in Tuscaloosa last season Feb. 10, 2024. The Tide are 4-1 ATS in the past 5 games and 7-2-1 ATS in the past 10 meetings since Feb. 15, 2020. The Over is 4-1 in the previous 5 meetings in this series and 7-3 in the 10-game span.

LSU at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 95, LSU 74

Moneyline

Alabama (-2500) can’t be trusted at this price, costing you 25 times your potential return. You have to risk $100 for every $4 won. There is never a reason to bet such a heavy favorite.

PASS.

Against the spread

BACK ALABAMA -17.5 (-115) laying the big number, as LSU +17.5 (-105) should have quite a bit of trouble shutting down the No. 1 offense in the nation. The Crimson Tide have rolled up 90.9 PPG, while hitting field goals at a 47.5% clip.

Alabama has covered 7 of the past 8 games and is 5-1 ATS in the past 6 games as a double-digit favorite.

On the flip side, LSU is just 2-3 ATS in the past 5 outings, while going 4-6 ATS across the past 10 games since Dec. 8. The Tigers have lost each of the 3 SEC road games, too, while covering just once in that span.

Over/Under

OVER 167.5 (-105) is a strong play. While LSU has a decent defense, it will have tremendous difficulty shutting down the nation’s top scoring offense. Alabama has hit triple digits in 2 in a row and 4 of the past 7 games.

While the Over is 4-4 in the past 8 games for the Tigers, the Over is 4-1 in the past 5 meetings in this series. The total has gone high in 7 of the past 10 in the series dating back to Feb. 15, 2020, too.

LSU at Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Texas A&M odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (12-5, 1-3 SEC) meet the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies (13-4, 2-2) Saturday. Tip-off from Reed Arena in College Station is set for 8:30 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

LSU snapped a 3-game losing streak and got its first SEC win Tuesday, a 78-74 victory as a 1-point underdog vs. the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks as the Over (149.5) cashed. G Cam Carter led the charge with 27 points, and G Jordan Sears chipped in 17 off the bench.

Texas A&M’s been facing a tough stretch, taking on 3 ranked teams in a row. Most recently, it lost 81-69 at the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats Tuesday, not covering as a 7-point underdog while the Under (156.5) hit. It got outmuscled inside, with Kentucky grabbing 40 rebounds compared to A&M’s 30. G Zhuric Phelps had a solid game, though, putting up 21 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

LSU at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 77, LSU 65

Moneyline

PASS.

Texas A&M (-700) will get a much needed bounce-back victory at home Saturday, which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET TEXAS A&M -11.5 (-110).

LSU has been struggling lately, losing 3 of its last 4 games and failing to cover in all 3 losses. On the other hand, Texas A&M has been solid, covering 6 of its last 8 games and 4 of its last 5 at home.

The Aggies are coming off back-to-back losses to SEC powerhouses Alabama and Kentucky, but those tough games should help them as they move further into conference play.

Texas A&M isn’t flashy on offense, but its defense gets it done, holding teams to just 66.3 points per game. LSU’s 13.7 turnovers per game (2nd-worst in SEC) gives the Aggies a clear edge.

A&M has taken 3 of the last 4 against LSU, both outright and ATS. It’ll make it 4 of 5 Saturday.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 145.5 (-115).

The Under has hit in the last 4 meetings between LSU and Texas A&M. LSU has gone Under in 3 of its last 4 games, and the Aggies have hit the Under in 10 of 17 this season. Both teams are solid defensively, allowing under 70 points per game. With both ranking in the top 4 for steals in the SEC, defense will be a big factor, making the Under the way to go here.

LSU at Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Ole Miss odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (11-4, 0-2 SEC) meet the Ole Miss Rebels (13-2, 2-0) Saturday. Tip-off from the Sandy and John Black Pavilion in University, Miss., is set for 6 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

LSU is off to a rough start in SEC play, dropping its first 2 games, including an 83-67 loss to the Missouri Tigers Tuesday. It failed to cover as a 7-point road underdog, and the Under (151.5) hit. The Tigers couldn’t overcome 14 turnovers despite G Cam Carter’s solid effort with 16 points.

Ole Miss won 73-66 at Arkansas as a 3.5-point underdog Wednesday while the Under (148.5) hit. Belmont transfer F Malik Dia delivered a season-high 21 points, providing a huge boost. The Rebels defense was on point, holding Arkansas to just 21.7% (5-for-23) from beyond the arc.

LSU at Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 78, LSU 65

Moneyline

PASS.

Ole Miss (-550) has been excellent this season, especially at home. I’ve got it winning and covering Saturday in Oxford. I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET OLE MISS -10.5 (-105).

Ole Miss has been among the SEC’s biggest surprises this season, and it all starts with its tough defense. The Rebels give up just 64.6 points per game (PPG), 4th-best in the conference, and they’ve been perfect at home with an 8-0 record.

Their SEC wins have been impressive, handing Georgia only its second loss of the season and grabbing a victory at Arkansas — both ATS wins.

Virginia Tech transfer G Sean Pedulla leads the way, shooting a lights-out 42.2% from deep and putting up 14.3 PPG. Ole Miss has been solid against the spread, covering 7 of its last 10 games.

Meanwhile, LSU has struggled, failing to cover 5 of its last 7. It has had trouble keeping up offensively, shooting just 32.8% from three. Against this tough Rebels defense, it’s hard to see that improving.

Ole Miss has won and covered 2 of the last 3 head-to-head meetings.

Over/Under

PASS.

Ole Miss thrives on defense, and it shows; the Under has hit in 7 of its last 8 games. During their last 7 wins, the Rebels have held opponents to just 57.4 PPG.

LSU, on the other hand, has struggled offensively in SEC play, averaging only 69.5 PPG through 2 games. Scoring won’t come easy for the Tigers in Oxford, making this matchup a prime spot for another Under Saturday.

Texas Bowl: Baylor vs. LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baylor vs. LSU Texas Bowl odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

Among the New Year’s Eve bowls on Tuesday is the Texas Bowl, featuring the Baylor Bears (8-4) of the Big 12 and the LSU Tigers (8-4) of the SEC. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium in Houston (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Baylor vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Baylor went 6-3 in conference play but won their final 6 games, closing out the regular season Nov. 30 with a 45-17 home win over the Kansas Jayhawks as 2.5-point underdogs. The Bears averaged 41.3 points per game in their winning streak, scoring 37-plus points 5 times.

LSU went 5-3 in conference play and closed the regular season with 2 consecutive wins after a 3-game losing streak, finishing with a 37-17 home win over the Oklahoma Sooners, covering the 6-point spread as favorites.

Baylor vs. LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

Baylor 42, LSU 35

Moneyline

No significant offensive player on either team is opting out. LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier is questionable to play with an injury.

The way Baylor ended the season with 6 consecutive wins and lot of points, it is hard not to see that continuing. LSU allowed over 30 points twice in its last 5 games.

But -165 odds aren’t a good value to bet, so go with the spread.

PASS.

Against the spread

Baylor covered the spread in every win this season and was 6-1 ATS as the favorite. LSU’s 4 losses were all by at least a TD.

BET BAYLOR -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Eight of Baylor’s last 9 games have over 60 total points while LSU only had 3 such games.

Oklahoma at LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma at LSU odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (6-5, 2-5 SEC) visit the LSU Tigers (7-4, 4-3 SEC) Saturday. Kickoff from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Neither prestigious program is ranked in the Coaches Poll (US LBM Coaches Poll), but both look to improve their prospects for a late-December bowl game.

The visiting Sooners ride into this game high after a 24-3 win over Alabama Nov. 23 that all but erased the perennial College Football Playoff invitee’s chances to reach the postseason. Oklahoma leaned on the ground game (QB Jackson Arnold‘s 131 rushing yards, Xavier Robinson‘s 2 TDs) and a pick-6.

Meanwhile, LSU stopped a 3-game losing streak — ranked Texas A&M, ranked Alabama, and Florida — with a 24-17 win over Vanderbilt Nov. 23. Tigers QB Garrett Nussmeier racked up 332 passing yards during the victory.

Oklahoma at LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 27, Oklahoma 20

Moneyline

The home favorite’s ML doesn’t carry much ROI with its over-200 juice, especially for a game with barely a 1-touchdown spread.

Unless it’s part of a parlay, bettors shouldn’t prioritize the Tigers’ moneyline.

PASS.

Against the spread

My favorite bet in this trio is the home squad ATS.

Bettors should look to the key number of 6 (or 5.5) for their target team. If you can still get it at 6, you can at least secure a push if the hosts win by a touchdown in overtime.

If it dips to 5.5 (-110) or lower, attack.

BET LSU -6 (110), or you can grab LSU -5.5 (-113) at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Over/Under

Both teams rank in the middle tiers of offensive points per game (LSU 28.6, Oklahoma 25).

While LSU’s defense boasts more elite talent, the Sooners should do enough to contribute to eclipsing the total.

BET OVER 46.5 (-115).

LSU vs. Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Florida odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 22 LSU Tigers (6-3, 3-2 SEC) meet the Florida Gators (4-5, 2-4)  at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at LSU vs. Florida odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

LSU has lost back-to-back games against ranked opponents, most recently losing 42-13 to the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide. They failed to cover as 3-point road underdogs while the Under 59.5 hit. The Tigers committed 3 turnovers, including 2 INTs by QB Garrett Nussmeier.

Florida has lost 3 of its last 4 games, all to Top-10 teams, most recently losing 49-17 to the No. 3 Texas Longhorns. They failed to cover as 23-point road underdogs and the Over 49.5 hit. The Gators turned the ball over 3 times, including 2 INTs by QB Aiden Warner. The Gators defends allowed Texas to piled up 562 total yards (352 passing, 210 rushing).

LSU vs. Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 35, Florida 31

Moneyline

PASS.

I considered taking Florida (+155), but I’ll play it safer and take the points.

Against the spread

BET FLORIDA +4.5 (-110).

This line feels off considering LSU’s recent struggles and inability to defend a mobile QB. Florida, on the other hand, has been much more competitive, including giving Georgia a scare with several backups.

LSU has dropped 4 of its last 5 road games in November, while Florida has covered the spread in 5 of its last 6. The underdog has won LSU’s last 3 visits to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

With highly-touted freshman QB DJ Lagway possibly back, Florida has a real chance to take advantage of LSU’s weak secondary. I’m grabbing the points with the Gators.

Over/Under

BET OVER 55.5 (-105).

LSU’s games have averaged 55.4 points, with an Over/Under line of 58.9. The Tigers are 2-5 O/U.

LSU’s offense, led by their passing game, ranks 7th in the nation with 322.8 yards per game, and they’re 9th in both passing attempts (42.3) and completions (26.8). They average 30.4 points per game.

Florida’s offense averages 28.1 points per game and has gone over in their last 3 games. However, the Gators’ defense allowed 563 total yards in a recent 49-17 loss to Texas.

The last 6 meetings between LSU and Florida have gone Over the total points line, and 12 of LSU’s last 15 conference games have followed suit.

LSU at Kansas State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s LSU at Kansas State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The LSU Tigers (2-0) and Kansas State Wildcats (2-0) tangle Thursday in Manhattan. Tip-off at Bramlage Coliseum will be at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the LSU vs. Kansas State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

LSU is on the road after clocking 2 home wins, although the second of those wins did not come easily. On Sunday, the Tigers failed to cover a 19-point number and nearly failed to earn a victory in a 74-61 contest against Alabama State. LSU trailed by 8 at halftime and was deadlocked with the Hornets inside the 8-minute mark.

Kansas State last played on Saturday, failing to cover a 23.5-point spread in a 77-64 win over Cleveland State. The Wildcats shot 57.8% from the floor, but was somewhat undone by 19 turnovers. KSU is seeking its sixth straight win on home hardwood.

LSU at Kansas State picks and predictions

Prediction

Kansas State 78, LSU 70

Moneyline

No interest: PASS.

Against the spread

These teams met last year in Baton Rouge, and KSU picked up a 15-point road win. The Wildcats outshot the Tigers and had 12 offensive rebounds to LSU’s 5 in a 75-60 victory.

In the off-season, Kansas State added some scoring punch, and figure the Wildcats as having the systemic defensive-efficiency edge. KSU has also been sharp from distance, posting a 43.4% 3-point mark through 2 games.

With LSU being away from home for a first time and coming off a bit of a disappointing performance against Alabama State, consider a partial-unit play on KANSAS STATE -7.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Both sides have a lot of veterans, and both play responsible defense and are adept at forcing sub-optimum looks.

Last year’s matchup cashed on an Under 144.

The power matchup should bring a lot of energy from both sides, and the UNDER 149.5 (-110) is the value play.

Alabama at LSU odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Alabama at LSU odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Alabama Crimson Tide (6-2, 3-2 SEC) visit the LSU Tigers (6-2, 3-1) for a Saturday night Southeastern Conference battle in Baton Rouge. The key game at Tiger Stadium will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Alabama vs. LSU odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.  ..

Alabama, which is No. 11 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, is coming off a bye. The Tide opened the season 4-0 and were ranked as high as No. 2, but have gone 2-2 in their last 4 games — losing at Vanderbilt Oct. 5 and at Tennessee Oct. 19. Saturday’s game at LSU will mark UA’s third consecutive matchup against a ranked foe.

No. 13 Louisiana State is also coming off a bye. The Tigers lost their last game (Oct. 26), which snapped a 6-game win streak. In that contest, LSU was undone by a minus-2 in turnovers in a 38-23 loss at then-No. 14 Texas A&M.

Alabama at LSU picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 27, LSU 21

Moneyline

No interest. PASS.

Against the spread

The Tide has had some wonky October results heavily influenced by penalties and turnovers. UA’s pass defense is quite good, especially down-to-down. It has been burned by big plays, but as good as the LSU passing game is (332.8 yards per game), the Tigers are not high-frequency, explosive-play producers.

The chunk plays could be an problem on the other side of the ball, though. The Tiger defense has been burned time and again by explosive plays on the ground. That’s an area Alabama should be able to exploit.

Mix in a red-zone advantage for UA, and the Crimson Tide is the value side here. Some rain and wind in the forecast play into the edge for the Tide.

BACK ALABAMA -2.5 (-120).

Over/Under

This contest figures as a close one, but the weather could slow the scoring spiral. And Alabama is capable of grinding out some slow drives when needed.

Give the edge to the UNDER 58.5 (-110) here.

LSU at Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Texas A&M odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The 7th-ranked LSU Tigers (6-1, 3-0 SEC) meet the No. 14 Texas A&M Aggies (6-1, 4-0) in a Week 9 Saturday battle in College Station. Kickoff at Kyle Field will be at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around LSU vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

LSU won at Arkansas last Saturday. The Tigers downed the Razorbacks 34-10, covering as a 3-point favorite. The Louisiana State defense held UA to just 277 total yards, and the Tigers dominated in time of possession 38:53 to 21:07.

Texas A&M defeated Mississippi State 34-24 last Saturday. The Aggies were outgained 367 yards to 353 in failing to cover a 21-point spread.

Both teams enter on 6-game win streaks after losing their season openers.

LSU at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 30, Texas A&M 27

Moneyline

LSU leads the all-time series 36-23-3. LSU’s dominance includes a 7-game win streak from 2011-17, but the last 6 meetings have netted a 3-3 split with the home team winning in all 6. LSU won last season’s contest in Baton Rouge 42-30, covering as a -10.5 favorite.

With A&M being outgained at Mississippi State last Saturday and with 2 other recent results (Sept. 21 vs. Bowling Green, Sept. 28 vs. Arkansas) being unimpressive, there are enough questions that point to the Aggies being vulnerable in this spot. And A&M’s run-1st attack does not get at an LSU deficiency in defending the pass.

The LSU defense is awful in allowing explosive run plays, but cranking out those types of runs are not a hallmark of the Aggies offense.

It all spells a game flow giving the Tigers a legit chance to win. They have already been steamed up from +115 to -105 Saturday morning. Stick with LSU -105.

Against the spread

The ML provides more value than a 1-point loss insurance policy.

PASS.

Over/Under

The Over has cashed in each of the last 3 Tigers-Aggies games.

Expect the visitors to play some high-volume ball, and look for plenty of passing — likely more than A&M wants — on a good-weather night at Kyle Field. Its reasonable to expect some dual-side havoc plays and short-field opportunities in the game flow, and the OVER 54.5 (-110) is a slight lean.
