LOOK: Twitter reacts to Alabama-LSU game cancellation

Alabama will have a second week off from playing after an outbreak within the LSU program forces this saturdays contest to be canceled.

News broke today of the Alabama vs. LSU contest being postponed, the game was originally scheduled for this upcoming Saturday. The cancellation is due to an outbreak of COVID-19 within the LSU program.

Fans of both teams are upset and frustrated over the cancellation, leading to them voicing their emotions on Twitter.

Here’s what some had to say:

Fans across the country are crying since their will no longer be a night game in ‘Death Valley.’

Tennessee‘s matchup against Texas A&M was also canceled due to an outbreak within the Aggies program.  Is this even possibility?

LSU already had to reschedule their game against Florida earlier on in the season, this fan suggests putting them through an SEC gauntlet in  single day.

Creative, but the emotion is still there.

This theory has been making the rounds on Twitter.

This is the only appropriate response.

Wait a minute…

This fan already added one to Alabama’s win column, game or not.

Alabama’s 2020 schedule ranks as one of toughest in CFB

The Alabama CrimsonTide look to redeem themselves after an 11-2 season which left a bad taste in their mouths, but it may not be easy.

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide will enter the 2020 season looking for redemption after a season most programs would be ecstatic with, but the 17-time national champions are left with a bad taste in their mouth.

The 2019 season concluded with a win in the Citrus Bowl over a No. 14 ranked Michigan team. That win contributed to a final record of 11-2, with losses to Auburn and LSU.

Reaching for redemption, and likely hoping for an undefeated season, may be  extremely difficult in 2020 as Alabama has the second most difficult schedule within the SEC according to ESPN’s FPI, and the eighth hardest schedule in the country according to 247 Sports.

Alabama’s FPI, per ESPN, ranks as No. 3 in the country. They only fall short behind Ohio State and Clemson.

The 2020 schedule for the Crimson Tide:

  • 9/5 – vs. USC (neutral site)
  • 9/12 – vs. Georgia State
  • 9/19 – vs. UGA
  • 9/26 – vs. Kent State
  • 10/3 – @ Ole Miss
  • 10/10 – @ Arkansas
  • 10/17 – vs. Mississippi State
  • 10/24 – @ Tennessee
  • 11/7 – @ LSU
  • 11/14 – vs. TN-Martin
  • 11/21 – vs. Texas A&M
  • 11/28 – vs. Auburn

There are certainly games on here that can pose as issues for the Crimson Tide. It’s hard to not eye that Week 3 game against UGA as one of the most difficult on the schedule.

USC as a season opener may be one a lot of Alabama fans over look, but isn’t expected to result in an upset.

Then, the games that are circled annually on most fans’ calendars. Games against Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M always seem to make the fanbase nervous.

Notre Dame’s best teams not to win a national championship

Notre Dame has had a few great teams that didn’t win a national championship. Inspired by a bad ESPN list here are seven of the best here.

I was scrolling through different pages over the weekend and this morning and stumbled upon an interesting sounding list at ESPN:

“Our top college football teams that failed to win the national championship”

Certainly this list will create some discussion and without a doubt, Notre Dame will be represented on here a few times over.

Or so I thought.

If you clicked the link and read/scrolled through you probably realized that in that list of 25 teams, Notre Dame was never listed.

Uh, what?

No offense to Bill Connelly, I’m sure he’s a stand-up human but what on God’s green earth are you talking about on this list?

I can see Notre Dame not having a top team on the list but none in the top 25 of it is just absurd.  Here are just a few for Mr. Connelly and yourselves to freshen up on as each could have won a title.
