UPDATED: Tracking all of Michigan State’s 2024 commits
Mel Tucker is out. Jonathan Smith is in. This all happened during a critical time of the 2024 recruiting cycle and now Michigan State football needs to solidify that class.
Some players will fall out, new names will join, and it will continue to be a mad dash and scramble as MSU tries to fight to bring a strong recruiting class into the first year of the Jonathan Smith era.
Buckle up as we track every recruit confirmed in the 2024 class below.
MSU loses commitment from 3-star OL:
Michigan State lost another member of its 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon. Interior offensive lineman Logan Bennett has announced that he is backing off of his commitment to MSU.
Bennett is from Baltimore, Maryland, and currently ranks as the No. 1376 overall player and the No. 106 IOL in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He holds offers from Boston College, Charlotte, Colorado, Connecticut, Kent State, Marshall and Maryland.

Michigan State football has added to its 2024 class
Michigan State football has added to its 2024 class.
The Spartans picked up a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Logan Bennett on Saturday. The commitment comes following the Spartans’ annual spring game event that was held on Saturday and included many recruits on campus for the event.

Bennett hails from Baltimore, Md., and plays for St. Frances Academy. He is listed at 6-foot-5.5 and 300 pounds.
Bennett commits to Michigan State over offers from Boston College, Colorado, Maryland, Charlotte, UConn, Kent State and Marshall. He ranks as the No. 76 interior offensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2024 class.
With Bennett’s commitment, Michigan State now is up to four commits in the 2024 class. That includes another offensive lineman prospect in three-star Andrew Dennis — who committed to Michigan State last week.
