The best photos from ‘Noche UFC’ at the Las Vegas Sphere

Noche UFC is back for another year, and they couldn’t have picked a better venue.

It’s fight night in the UFC, and for the second year in a row, we’ll be seeing the “Noche UFC” in honor of Mexican Independence Day.

The event, officially branded as Riyadh Season Noche UFC, will be held in quite a scenic venue: The Sphere in Las Vegas. That’s right — the octagon is meeting the Sphere.

It’s a compelling ticket that features a pair of championship fighters. Men’s bantamweight champion Season O’Malley is fighting Merab Dvalishvili, while women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso faces off against former champion Valentina Shevchenko to highlight the main card.

Here are some of the breathtaking views from Noche UFC at the Sphere.

This year’s NHL Draft will take place at arguably its most intriguing venue yet.

This year’s NHL Draft is making the trip to Las Vegas, as the festivities will take place at a brand-new venue that is taking the world by storm.

The MSG Sphere is the gigantic circular attraction that has taken over the Vegas skyline, hosting concerts for bands like U2 and The Eagles and now hosting a major sporting event with the 2024 NHL Draft.

Why didn’t the NHL go with one of the legendary casinos or with the Las Vegas Golden Knights’ arena for the draft?

Well, attribute it to Sphere fever, as it’s turning into a major point of curiosity for events with its curved screen towering over the stage and its entertainment potential for the draft broadcast.

We’ll see how the Sphere does hosting this year’s NHL Draft, and if another sports league wants to host a draft in the event space down the road.

6 facts about the Las Vegas Sphere that has captivated fans everywhere

The Sphere is truly a marvel.

By now, you’ve surely heard of the Sphere in Las Vegas, the brainchild of New York Knicks and Rangers owner James Dolan that’s been grabbing people’s attention with mind-boggling displays on its LED exterior.

However, since the Sphere officially opened in September 2023, we’ve learned there is so much more to the the visual marvel than what’s on the outside — though these San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs helmets displayed for the Super Bowl in Vegas were very cool.

The inside of the Sphere is home to some first-of-its-kind technology as well, allowing for it to host immersive film and music concert experiences. Here are more facts about the Sphere.

See how the Las Vegas Sphere displayed all 57 Super Bowl rings in awesome presentation

All the Super Bowl rings: Las Vegas Sphere edition.

The Sphere in Las Vegas has turned into one of the town’s most recognizable sights, and it was lit up in really neat Super Bowl fashion ahead of Sunday’s big game.

The Sphere featured all 57 of the Super Bowl rings, from the first-ever title winners (the Green Bay Packers) to the reigning champions (the Kansas City Chiefs).

Outside of being just a really cool sight to see as the NFL takes over Vegas, this is a great history lesson in who all 57 Super Bowl winners are and what those teams’ championship rings looked like.

Check out the full video of all the blown-up rings from the NFL’s Twitter (X) account.

If you’re a fan of one of these teams, you’re probably going to have some great memories flooding your mind. If you didn’t see your team in that display, maybe they’ll make it down the line.

Winning a Super Bowl is tough, but the rings last forever.

The Sphere is looking like giant Chiefs and 49ers helmets ahead of the Super Bowl in Las Vegas

OK, this is actually cool.

Ever since the Sphere opened in Las Vegas earlier last year, it has basically taken out the Vegas skyline with animations that don’t look real (but totally are).

So, with Vegas set to host the first Super Bowl in the city’s history, it was obvious that the Sphere would be in on the theme. Come Monday, we saw exactly what 580,000 square feet of LED displays had in store for the lead-up to Super Bowl 58.

The Sphere transformed into giants helmets for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero took a photo of both animations on Monday morning in Vegas.

There’s something jarring about those bright colors against a seemingly grayscale Vegas on a cloudy day. But at the same time, it’s pretty awesome. We’ll have to see what the Sphere does the rest of the week (and during the game). But in the meantime, fans had thoughts on the helmet animations.

How the Las Vegas Sphere will play a role in the F1 Grand Prix while not confusing drivers

The Sphere will be used A LOT this weekend at the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

There’s so much buzz about The Sphere in Las Vegas after it opened, from the moment it went operational to all the videos inside of it.

And now, it’ll be very present during the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023. Already, during the opening ceremonies on Wednesday, we saw F1 images show on the Sphere.

So what will be on it during the race? That’s a good question, especially because drivers will be able to see it inside the track. Per Motorsport.com, there’s an agreement in place for the exterior NOT to show red, yellow and blue colors, in case a driver mistakes that for the colors of various instructions from FIA using their flag system (for example, a yellow flag means to slow down).

What you will see, per Fox 5 Vegas, is this:

The Sphere says that on race day itself, Saturday, Nov. 18, content including real-time pole position and a custom podium moment that will celebrate the race’s winner will be displayed on the Exosphere.
“Sphere’s Exosphere doesn’t just complement the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, it elevates it to new heights, turning every lap into a mesmerizing experience for fans in attendance and watching on TV globally,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer for Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. “Picture real-time pole positions, thrilling podium celebrations, and a dynamic showcase of all 20 drivers and their iconic cars displayed larger-than-life. We are excited to have Sphere at the heart of race weekend.”

Editing fake videos on the Las Vegas Sphere is the latest viral meme

Some hilarious memes for the Las Vegas Sphere.

The Las Vegas Sphere is the talk of the town right now.

The giant orb at The Venetian Resort is covered in hundreds of thousands LED lights, so you can see all kinds of videos programmed into it, from a giant realistic-looking basketball to a giant eyeball that can be seen over the Wynn Golf Club.

Which leads to the next, inevitable thing that I’ve noticed around Twitter and other social media: Memes. Lots of them. People are taking the sphere and editing fake videos and images on to it.

Here’s a roundup of the ones I’ve seen so far:
