5-star DB signs with Georgia football

5-star DB Kelee Ringo has signed with Georgia football

This 2020 recruiting cycle keeps getting better for the Georgia Bulldogs as five-star defensive back Kelee Ringo comitted to UGA during the All-American Bowl in San Antonio today.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back from Scottsdale, Arizona, is rated as the nation’s No.1 cornerback, the No. 8-rated overall recruit in the country and top prep in the state. He chose Georgia over other Texas and Oregon. He joins three other, UGA five-star signees/commits for the 2020 recruiting cycle.

During the NBC broadcast and surrounded by family members, Ringo stated, “Kirby Smart knows what he wants to do with the program and on all of my visits in the DB meetings, he just told me that he was going to coach me hard and and develop me and I am looking forward to that.”

Georgia initially offered Ringo in the summer of 2018. He has the size, length and speed to cover wideouts in space and the explosiveness and physicallity Coach Smart seeks. He has the potential to compete for significant playing time his freshman year.

Including Ringo, Georgia now has 19 athletes signed and two commits. The Dawgs have the nation’s No.3-rated class and have the opportunity to sign two more quality recruits, including five-star running back Zach Evans.

Georgia looks to add a 5-star to its 2020 class tonight

Georgia football will look to add a few five-star players this week in Kelee Ringo, Darnell Washington and Zach Evans.

Tonight at the Under Armour All-America Game, Georgia will look to add more talent its already top-five ranked 2020 recruiting class.

Originally, Georgia fans were expecting to hear two 5-star names pick the Dawgs, RB Zach Evans and TE Darnell Washington, however, there’s been a schedule change.

Evans, who many expect to choose UGA, will not be announcing tonight according to Craig Haubert.

But there’s still Darnell Washington, a 6’8″ athletic freak out of Las Vegas.

Washington ranks as the nation’s No. 10 overall player and is likely to pick up a Georgia hat tonight at halftime of the high school all-star game.

If Washington does indeed choose the Dawgs, he would be the third 5-star in the class.

As for Evans, his chaotic recruitment will continue and we will keep you updated on whatever we see on that front.

Kelee Ringo, a 5-star CB out of Arizona, is another big time player that Georgia is expected to land this week.

Ringo will announce at the Adidas All-American Bowl on January 4. He has already signed his letter of intent.
