What a week it’s been for Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class.
Head coach Mike Elko has now secured 18 commitments, landing three consecutive defensive prospects: four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail on Sunday, three-star defensive lineman Chace Sims, and four-star Edge Marco Jones on Tuesday afternoon.
Continuing to rise in the recruiting rankings, the Aggies’ elite defensive haul isn’t slowing down. Four-star Edge Kamauryn Morgan, who is coming off an official visit to Texas A&M on June 21, has announced his commitment date for Sunday, July 7.
Morgan will choose between his top 3 program list, as Texas A&M, Baylor, and SMU have competed for his commitment this summer, as the Dallas (TX) native is looking to stay relatively close to home.
Standing at 6’5″ and over 230 pounds, Morgan sees Texas A&M as a program that could develop his skill set in the long term. Due to his size and impressive athleticism, the young pass rusher clearly possesses NFL potential.
Morgan’s length, speed, and undeniable strength make him an absolute steal for either program lucky enough to land him.
During his 2023 junior season at South Oak Cliff HS, Morgan recorded 65 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and 13 tackles for loss while already accounting for 11 sacks and 21 tackles for loss in his last two seasons.
According to 247Sports, Morgan is currently positioned as the 94th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 12th-ranked Edge, and the 16th-ranked prospect in Texas.
