IMG Academy in Sarasota, Florida, is among the most prestigious schools in the country when it comes to developing student-athletes for the collegiate gridiron. Billy Napier has made it a point to focus on the in-state institution and has continued to deliver on that promise.
On Thursday, the Florida football program extended a scholarship offer to four-star interior offensive lineman [autotag]Kaden Strayhorn[/autotag], who originally hails from Novi, Michigan. The 6-foot-3-inch, 290-pound trench warrior received his offer from co-offensive line coach Rob Sale, who has attended the 2025 recruit’s practice in the past.
“Coach Sale’s main message to me has been to get up to campus for a game and feel the environment,” Strayhorn told Gators Online. “I’m looking forward to it. Coach Sale told me this morning he was told to watch my tape and he did. He then said he wanted me to know I had an offer to Florida.”
The coveted prep prospect has also heard positive things about the program through the grapevine.
“My teammate Knijeah Harris from last year talks very highly about them. As a kid, I heard about Florida because of Tim Tebow when he talked about his faith in God. ”
The Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Tennessee Volunteers and Miami Hurricanes are among the numerous other suitors for the blue-chipper’s talents.
Strayhorn is ranked No. 273 overall and No. 13 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 313 and 18, respectively. MSU holds an overwhelming lead according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine with an 88.3% chance of signing him.
