Jason Kelce really gave his brother no choice here.
In Travis Kelce’s defense what else was he supposed to say?
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is prepping for Super Bowl LIX next Sunday but still found some time to stop by his brother Jason Kelce’s new ESPN show On They Call It Late Night. With the show taping live in front of a Philadelphia audience, Jason made sure to ask Travis if he had anything to say to all the Eagles fans in the crowd before they face off in New Orleans.
An unsure Travis twisted his face for a moment before coming up with the only acceptable response:
“Go Birds, baby!” Kelce finally responded.
The whole interaction is pretty great. Check it out here:
“There is absolutely no chance you mean that,” Jason shot back.
The two brothers and New Heights podcast hosts continued to riff about the Super Bowl, defeating Josh Allen in the AFC Championship game and who on the Chiefs he’s want to pull a Freaky Friday with before Jason wished him the best of luck in the Super Bowl, kind of.
We can’t wait to see what these two get up to in New Orleans.
The Chiefs star has a challenge for Jayden Daniels.
Super Bowl LIX is set, and it’s a rematch from two years ago when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. That means a rematch between the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, although Jason is now retired.
To get their third Super Bowl appearance in eight seasons, the Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders. Philadelphia and Washington had split the regular-season series when Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels passed for five touchdowns in a Week 16 upset.
Unfortunately for Daniels, Washington turned the ball over four times in last week’s NFC championship game, and the Eagles made them pay each time with a touchdown en route to a 55-23 victory.
Despite the comfortable victory, Jason Kelce realizes Philadelphia will have to deal with Daniels for years to come, and the Commanders are no longer pushovers.
“Unfortunately for Eagles fans, this is gonna be something that’s gonna be a pain in the a– for a while over there with Jayden Daniels and the Dan Quinn Commanders,” Jason Kelce said in this week’s episode of “The Heights” podcast with Travis.
Travis Kelce then responded with a challenge for Daniels.
“We’ll also see if, you know, there have been a lot of quarterbacks that have one really good year as their first year,” Travis Kelce said. “We’ll see, Jayden; that’s a challenge to you, brother. I want to see it; I know I want to see it. I’m a fan.”
He’s not wrong. There have been a lot of “one-hit wonders,” including a former Washington quarterback, Robert Griffin III.
While no one can predict the future, Daniels is not Griffin. He’s more talented, a much more advanced passer, has a phenomenal work ethic, is a relentless competitor, and is already a respected team leader.
After Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, Daniels said he woke up Monday still “sick” over the game. Daniels has plenty of motivation this offseason, and it’s doubtful he’s worried about Kelce’s “challenge.”
We know that Jason Kelce will be both rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and for his brother Travis Kelce on Super Bowl Sunday, but will that extend to the rest of his immediate family?
For that, we got an answer from his wife, Kylie Kelce. On the latest episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kylie told the world that they’re buying “Go Uncle Trav” shirts for their daughters. And while they cheer on the Eagles too, “But he is our family and I want to make sure the girls feel included.”
That said, Kylie won’t be cheering for the Chiefs over the next couple of weeks. Makes sense!
At this point, both Jason and Travis Kelce are well aware of all the lore that comes with being in Taylor Swift’s world. Her fan base is incredibly online, and they seemingly have a story or theory for everything Taylor.
But one piece of that Swiftie fandom even left Travis and Jason utterly confused.
Over the years, it’s been awfully easy to spot a photo that was taken by Swift (or with her camera). The photos have a filter that is reminiscent of 2012 Instagram, giving peak millennial vibes. Travis and Jason likely knew about The Filter, but they had no idea about the name that Swifties have assigned for it. They heard that name for the first time in this week’s edition of New Heights, and the reactions did not disappoint.

The best part was how Travis and Jason didn’t even realize what was being said to them. “What are you even saying? Are you saying focus?”
And then upon learning what was being said, Travis had the reasonable response of asking why — since Swifties have a meaning behind their nicknames and phrases. But, uh, not this one apparently.
Jason Kelce made it clear previously that if he had to choose between rooting for his brother Travis in the Super Bowl or his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, that the choice is the Eagles.
Philadelphia legend Jason Kelce says he ‘feels like an Eagle’ but has mixed emotions about the Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs
Jason Kelce walked away from the NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles after a historic 13-year career. While Kelce is undoubtedly enjoying life in the media world, he cannot help but regret his decision.
During the most recent New Heights podcast, Kelce talked with his brother, Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, about his feelings about Philadelphia and Kansas City meeting in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
Dressed in Eagles gear, Kelce had this to say about the big game.
“I still feel like I am a Philadelphia Eagle… I’d be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win. I also want my brother to win”
We’ve got an update on the question everyone wants to know … Who is Jason Kelce rooting for in #SBLIX
A sixth-round draft pick out of the University of Cincinnati in 2011, Kelce started and played in 193 games over his 13 seasons.
Jason Kelce is the fifth center in NFL history with at least six All-Pro selections. The other four — Jim Otto, Bulldog Turner, Dermotti Dawson, and Jim Ringo — are all in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Travis Kelce is up for an award! But it’s not football related.
No, he’s up for “Favorite Surprise Guest” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards because of his appearance at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. And the Kansas City Chiefs tight end got a shoutout from his brother Jason on the latest New Heights podcast (in which we learned Taylor listens every week!).
Jason revealed it was a fan vote that would decide the winner, so he pre-emptively congratulated Travis and Taylor on winning and capped it off with this after listing the other nominees: “I’m sorry to all those people I just named, cuz you don’t stand a [expletive] chance.”
LOL! Take a listen, with a WARNING: NSFW LANGUAGE AHEAD!

So who does the legendary ex-center root for on gameday, despite the fact that Jason no longer plays for the Philadelphia Eagles?
The answer is already here, thanks to an old clip from the New Heights podcast. A listener asked the question and Jason said, without any hesitation, that he’d root for the Eagles over Travis’s Chiefs, but he’ll root for Travis “to have a good game.”
It makes sense, right?
Eagles legend Jason Kelce will be rooting for the Birds in the Super Bowl this year. Duh.
For years, the rivalry between the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles has been more one-sided than those old NFC East battles. Philadelphia has dominated Washington through much of the 2000s, while you could argue that the Dallas Cowboys became the Eagles’ top rival.
Things have changed. On Sunday, the Commanders travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the NFC championship game. It’s only the second time in history that these two longtime rivals have met in the playoffs. The last meeting occurred in the 1990 postseason, with Washington winning.
So, in preparation for the Commanders’ arrival in Philadelphia, some of the team’s fans decided to have fun with a famous Philly landmark. The Rocky statue was decorated with apparel featuring Washington’s old name, the Redskins. Eagles’ fans were outraged, cautioning the Commanders that every time this happens, their team wins.
There is a recent history where the Eagles do win when opposing fans “disrespect” Rocky. The two most recent examples were the Vikings and the 49ers.
Regardless of what you read on social media, this will not determine the outcome of Sunday’s game. Do we even know if it was Washington fans who did this? Perhaps it was an inside job intended to fire up the Eagles. Even Philadelphia legend Jason Kelce believes it’s Eagles’ fans.
