It’s always family first for Jameis Winston

Former Bucs QB Jameis Winston posted the perfect family picture on his Instagram recently.

Regardless of how you feel about former Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, there’s no denying the fact that his teammates loved and respected him. Even though he won’t be a part of the Bucs in 2020, his presence in the locker room will certainly be missed.

While Winston still remains without a home a month into free agency, he’s still keeping his head up. With social distancing preventing him from going to the gym, he’s been finding ways to stay active at home, which means more time with his family, including his lovely new bride and son.

Take a look at Winston’s recent Instagram post, which looks like the perfect picture of the All-American family, dog and all.

This Jameis Winston workout video doesn’t really inspire confidence

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston remains unsigned weeks into free agency. The much-maligned quarterback, who threw for over 5,000 yards last season but also had 30 interceptions, was replaced by six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady this offseason.

While Winston appears to have nothing but respect for the G.O.A.T., he’d still like to find a new team to call his own, even if it is just as a backup (for now). Perhaps that’s why Winston posted the below workout video online, hoping to inspire confidence in teams interested in his services.

However, it seems to have had the opposite effect, evident by this tweet from David Carr, the NFL Network analyst and brother of Raiders QB Derek Carr.

Keep at it Jameis. We’re rooting for you.

Jameis Winston has nothing but respect for Tom Brady

Despite being replace by Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, former Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has nothing but respect for the G.O.A.T.

At this point last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were hoping that quarterback Jameis Winston was finally on the path to redemption. After serving a three-game suspension to start the 2018 season and having an inconsistent year when he finally did see the field, the Bucs seemingly pulled out all the stops to give Winston one more chance to prove himself to be the franchise quarterback they had hoped he would be when they drafted him first overall in the 2015 draft.

The hiring of Bruce Arians, the supposed quarterback guru, was the team’s way of throwing their support behind Winston, but as we all know, things didn’t go according to plan. Despite throwing for 5,109 yards last season, becoming just the eighth quarterback ever to do so, Winston also threw a mind-boggling 30 interceptions.

Apparently, that was enough to make the Bucs look elsewhere this offseason. And, when quarterback Tom Brady became available and decided to make Tampa Bay his new home, the sun officially set on Winston’s time with the Bucs.

But, to the quarterback’s credit, he has nothing but respect for the six-time Super Bowl champion, and seems to be taking the move in stride. Speaking to Fox News about the Bucs moving on to Brady, Winston had this to say:

“One thing you can learn about me is my faith. I have tremendous faith in my lord, and one thing about Tom Brady is it’s understood that he is the GOAT. For you to get replaced by Tom Brady in a city that you love so much, I guess that’s kudos to me.”

Winston certainly did have his ups and downs with the Bucs, but his presence will be missed. Teammates had such respect for Winston that many initially refrained from celebrating the Brady signing on social media. Wherever Winston ends up next year, his personality in the locker room will be a welcome addition for players and coaches alike.

Best of luck to Winston.
