Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Jalen Carter has now visited every team picking 5-10 except the Atlanta Falcons

Georgia football defensive tackle Jalen Carter is visiting the Detroit Lions on April 17. Carter has visited every team scheduled to pick between No. 5 and No. 10 with one notable exception: the Atlanta Falcons.

Carter, who recently visited the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 7 pick), has been busy throughout the predraft process. Carter also visited the Seattle Seahawks (No. 5), Chicago Bears (No. 9) and Philadelphia Eagles (No. 10) ahead of the draft. Several NFL teams have concerns over Carter’s off the field behavior.

Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, disclosed Carter will not visit teams picking outside of the top 10 ahead of the draft. The Detroit Lions hold the sixth pick of the 2023 NFL draft.

Carter plans to attend the 2023 NFL draft. Carter has had an up and down NFL draft stock. Numerous NFL draft scouts consider Carter the No. 1 prospect in the draft. However, he is projected to be selected after several quarterbacks and Alabama’s Will Anderson. Where will Carter be selected in the draft?

In 2022, Carter fought through a knee injury to record three sacks, 32 total tackles, and three pass deflections. Carter capped his Georgia football career with back-to-back national championships.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Jalen Carter is visiting the Las Vegas Raiders on April 12. Carter, who just visited the Seattle Seahawks, has been busy throughout the predraft process.

Carter’s visit to Las Vegas comes as a bit of a surprise. The Raiders reportedly took him off their draft board due to concerns over Carter’s off the field behavior.

Las Vegas has had multiple recent high draft picks get in trouble with the law. The Raiders, per The Athletic’s Vic Tafur, are concerned Carter could have a legal incident similar to former Las Vegas receiver Henry Ruggs.

In addition to Seattle, Carter has visited the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the draft. Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, disclosed Carter will not visit teams picking outside of the top 10 ahead of the draft.

The Seahawks have the fifth pick of the draft and could use a disruptive interior defensive lineman such as Carter. The Chicago Bears have the No. 9 pick after trading back from the top selection in the draft. The Philadelphia Eagles have the No. 10 pick. Philadelphia drafted two of Carter’s college teammates, defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean, last year. It would be fun to see Carter reunited with Davis and Dean.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive tackle Jalen Carter is planning to visit the Seattle Seahawks on April 11. The Seahawks are widely viewed as one of Carter’s most likely landing spots in the 2023 NFL draft.

Seattle holds the fifth selection of the draft. A trio of quarterbacks is projected to be selected in the first four picks of the draft. Alabama’s Will Anderson is likely to be the first defender drafted. Will Georgia’s Jalen Carter be the fifth pick of the draft? Or will four quarterbacks be selected in the first four picks? There’s a lot of potential scenarios in the first few picks of the draft that could impact Jalen Carter.

Seattle had excellent success with its 2022 NFL draft class and could be willing to take a risk on a talented prospect like Jalen Carter. The Seahawks must be willing to accept Carter’s previous off the field issues if they are going to select the Georgia defensive tackle.
