How to watch, stream, listen to Jaguars vs. Colts

The Jags and Colts will be in a Week 11 battle in which both teams must win to keep their playoff hopes alive, here is how fans can tune in.

The wait is almost over for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ return to the field as they will be coming off a much-needed bye. However, they will need to be much more successful from this point on if they are to make the playoffs, starting with Week 11’s opponents: the Indianapolis Colts.
Both teams will have their starting quarterbacks returning to the field in Jacoby Brissett and Nick Foles. Brissett will be returning from a MCL sprain that caused him to miss some time against the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 9 and a full game against the Miami Dolphins Week 10. That also caused the Colts to go on a two-game skid in which they will be desperately looking to get out of.
Foles, on the other hand, missed even more time on the field as it’s been two months since he last played. The veteran broke his collarbone in the Jags’ season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs and now the team is 4-5 with a small chance to make the playoffs. However, that’s better than nothing, especially if the veteran can have the late season success he’s had in the past.

Colts’ Jacoby Brissett (knee) to start vs. Jaguars

Jacoby makes his return.

The Indianapolis Colts (5-4) will see the return of quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who has been named the starter for the Week 11 divisional matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5).

After seeing what the Colts have behind Brissett, who has been dealing with a knee sprain, it was evident they needed their starter to return. Now, he will be under center once again following a one-game absence.

Head coach Frank Reich told the media Friday that Brissett will return to his starting duties. He also acknowledged that while the 26-year-old isn’t fully healthy, he looked good enough during practice to return to the field.

The Colts have a huge stretch of games coming up—one that could very well determine the fate of their season. They will be down a few players, but they will see the return of Brissett.

In eight games this season, Brissett has completed 64.8% of his passes for 1,649 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions.

This Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Indianapolis to face off against the Colts in a heated, critical AFC South match-up. Both teams are hoping to make late-season pushes for the playoffs and remain in the hunt for a wild-card spot. Here are three things to know before kickoff on Sunday:

Healthy Quarterbacks

Both the Jaguars and Colts have been without their starting quarterbacks for some time after injuries sidelined the two, however, for Week 11, both Nick Foles and Jacoby Brissett are set to suit up. For Foles, this will be the first time since the first quarter of Week 1 that the high price free-agent acquisition will get to play.

The Jaguars benched the fan-favorite, Gardner Minshew, in favor of consistency and experience in hopes to spark a late season playoff run. The AFC wild-card race is very much wide open and Doug Marrone and his staff thought Foles gave the team the best chance to take advantage of the weaker AFC. This should be the first time Jags’ fans finally get to see what kind of player Foles really is.

Colts’ Jacoby Brissett expected to play vs. Jaguars

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett will practice in a full capacity on Wednesday and is expected to play in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home.

Brissett missed the Week 10 loss against the Miami Dolphins, and head coach Frank Reich opened the week saying if the 26-year-old practices in full Wednesday then he would play against the Jaguars.

Brissett suffered an MCL sprain in Week 9. He felt he could have played against the Dolphins, but Reich decided against it. It seems now, though, the Colts will get their starting quarterback to return against the Jaguars.

It should be noted that nothing is official in Brissett starting on Sunday. Until the injury report comes out this weekend or if the team announces it. As long as he’s healthy enough to play, Brissett will be the starter.

The Colts will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday, and it should include Brissett as a full participant.

Jags enter Week 11 as 3.5-point underdogs to Colts

The Jags have entered Week 11 as underdogs to the Colts as both are coming off embarrassing losses.

After missing out on a chance to acquire the second place spot in the AFC South Week 9 against the Houston Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5) will have another shot at the same spot when they take on the Indianapolis Colts (5-4) Sunday. However, it appears they will have to do so as underdogs on the road as BetMGM has the Colts favorited by 3.5-points.

Both teams will be coming off of embarrassing Week 11 losses. The Jags will be looking to get over a recent 26-3 beatdown courtesy of the Texans, while the Colts will be looking to get over a 16-12 loss to one of the worst teams in football: the Miami Dolphins. They both also will be looking to stay in the hunt for a wild-card playoff spot as the Jags are currently the sixth seed, while the Colts are the eighth seed.

Part of the reason the Colts struggled Sunday was due to the absence of starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who missed the game due to an MCL sprain he sustained Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. His status for Week 11’s game is unknown but we’ll know more Wednesday when the first injury report is released.

Meanwhile, the Jags will be getting their starting signal-caller back as Nick Foles is ready to return from the collarbone injury he sustained Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Jags in a spot where a loss would really hurt their playoff chances, they will need the veteran to quickly be the late season savior he was in Philly and bring the Jags their second divisional win of 2019.

The total for Sunday’s game is currently set at 44.5 points. The money line is set at +135 for the Jags, which means a wager of $100 on the Cardiac Cats would pay out $135.

Colts ‘encouraged and optimistic’ Jacoby Brissett plays vs. Jaguars

The Indianapolis Colts (5-4) were embarrassed by the Miami Dolphins (2-7) on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium without the benefit of having their starting quarterback in Jacoby Brissett available.

Inactive due to an MCL sprain he suffered in Week 9, the Colts are still waiting to see if he will be ready to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11, but there seems to be some optimism he’ll be ready.

“Yeah, I mean if Jacoby (Brissett) is healthy – he is our starting quarterback obviously – he’ll go. We are optimistic that the rest was helpful,” Reich said in a conference call Monday. “We will get to Wednesday and see how he is doing, but we are encouraged and optimistic.”

The Colts had to watch veteran backup Brian Hoyer struggle incredibly during the dismal loss against the Dolphins. The 11-year veteran threw three interceptions and finished with a passer rating of 38.8.

He wasn’t the sole reason the Colts lost the game—the offensive line was brutal as well—but he didn’t elevate the unit around him. It was a ghastly performance that left many fans begging for Chad Kelly to enter the game.

Regardless, Reich maintains the mindset that if Brissett practices in full on Wednesday, he will resume his starting role under center against the Jaguars.

“I’m not going to try and make any secret about it, I’m really not,” Reich said. “If he is practicing and taking full practice – at that point we will say, ‘We are ready to go. He is our starter and we are going forward.’ But we will wait until Wednesday to make that determination.”

The Colts desperately need Brissett under center in what will be a crucial divisional matchup at home in Week 11, which means his status will be closely monitored throughout the week.
