Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, DE George Karlaftis hyped for 2023 NFL draft

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and DE George Karlaftis took to Twitter to show their excitement for the 2023 NFL draft in Kansas City.

Some of the top players for the Kansas City Chiefs are showing their excitement for the 2023 NFL draft with the first round kicking off in their city on Thursday, April 27.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and DE George Karlaftis, both former first-round draft picks, took to Twitter to show their excitement on Thursday morning.

Mahomes was drafted six years ago to the day when the Chiefs traded up to pick No. 10 in the 2017 NFL draft to select the Texas Tech gunslinger. Everything changed for the franchise and the city on that day. Fast forward to now and he’s a two-time league MVP, two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP.

As for “Furious George” he was the No. 30 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft just a season ago, one of two first-rounders along with CB Trent McDuffie. Karlaftis finished his rookie campaign with 33 total tackles and six sacks.

Both players recognize that it’s an exciting time for the fans and the city, but it’s also an exciting time for them too. Not only do they get to welcome some new teammates to the winning culture in Kansas City, but it brings back all the good memories of when they became members of Chiefs Kingdom. New prospects will soon get a chance to experience the same with the added excitement of being selected by the 2023 NFL draft’s host city.

Notre Dame social media goes full Wizard of Oz for home opener

Home opener hype!

In recent years Notre Dame has opened the home slate of the regular season by welcoming some huge brands to Notre Dame Stadium as Texas (2015), Michigan (2018) have both helped open the venue for the year but this year won’t offer quite the same punch with Marshall.

It’s the first meeting ever between Notre Dame and Marshall as the two have the Randy Moss and Cain Madden connections, and that’s about it in terms of history on the gridiron.  However, Marshall is a very accomplished program that because of a tragedy over 50 years ago, and because of great successes as a I-AA program in the late-90’s, draws more attention than other programs that are roughly the same caliber.

That wasn’t the direction the Notre Dame media team went with their hype video for the 2022 home opener though as they instead did their best Dorothy impressions from “The Wizard of Oz” by reminding Fighting Irish fans that there really is no place quite like home.  Take a watch below:

Notre Dame has also announced that Saturday’s game is now officially a sellout.

Watch: This Georgia football video will move you to tears as we prepare for 2022 season

I swear I’m not crying.

For the first time since 1981, Georgia opens the season as the reigning national champions.

We’re more than seven months removed from the Dawgs’ title win over Alabama, but the emotions are just as strong as they were on Monday, Jan. 10.

It has been 231 days since Kelee Ringo intercepted an underthrown Bryce Young pass for the game-sealing touchdown, and. 231 days since the DawgNation shed tears of joy watching their beloved Bulldogs bring home the title.

Now a new breed of Bulldog stands ready to take the field of battle.

Georgia opens Saturday against Oregon in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game from Atlanta. For a majority of UGA fans, this will be the first time they’ll be able to cheer their team as the defending champions.

As we prepare to rally behind the red and black this season, let me leave you with two simple words that express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation … Go Dawgs.

Enjoy this video, try not to cry and get ready for some Georgia football.

WATCH: Chiefs tease return to action in OTAs with hype video

The #Chiefs shared a video to get fans hyped up for OTAs and the work the team has been doing this offseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs are back in action on Wednesday, with players returning to team facilities for Organized Team Activities (OTAs) during Phase 3 of the offseason program. The team can now begin doing team drills, but with no pads and no live contact during this phase.

While we won’t get any local media look-ins until Thursday’s practice, the Chiefs’ in-house media team shared a hype video on social media showing a bit of action, likely some B-roll footage from Phase 2 of the offseason program. You get to see looks at several players in the weight room, such as Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Mecole Hardman, Willie Gay Jr. and even Patrick Mahomes. You get to see players running gassers as they prepare for their conditioning test with Tershawn Wharton and Travis Kelce leading the way.

There isn’t much in the way of a first look at the rookies, but you do get to see free-agent acquisition Justin Reid in Chiefs gear for the first time. Expect to see more from the team in the coming days as they begin to amp things up and build hype for the 2022 NFL season. For the time being, you can enjoy the hype video at the top of the page.

The most hyped video games that were underwhelming

These didn’t turn out as good as we had been promised.

Honest trailers can be difficult to pull off. After all, developers want to retain an element of surprise when people actually get their hands on the game. Things often appear out of context and disjointed, and nobody really knows how a game feels until they get their thumbs on the sticks.

Still, it’s easy to be sucked in by the hype when you’re looking forward to a new game. Those flashy trailers do their job, sometimes too well, to the point where player expectation is, frankly, unrealistic. And that’s where this list comes into play – let’s hobble down memory lane and take a look back at the games that didn’t meet our high hopes, dashing our dreams like a skull-cracking on concrete.

Check out the hype leading up to the Florida-Arkansas game

Florida Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks are set to face off in Gainesville Saturday night, here is a look at the hype leading up on Twitter.

[jwplayer RjcJQ9no]

Game time is nearly upon us as the Florida Gators get set to host the Arkansas Razorbacks in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Saturday night as UF looks to move to 5-1 on the season.

While the ‘Backs should not pose too big of a problem for Florida, they are a decent team with former Gators quarterback Feleipe Franks at the helm. Coming into the game with an even 3-3 record, Arkansas is perfectly mediocre, which could spell trouble if Florida gets complacent.

While the game is not nearly as exciting as last weeks against the Georgia Bulldogs, there has been plenty of suspense building as the countdown nears the zero mark. All around social media, the Gator Nation has been getting amped up for the first game of the second half of Florida’s schedule.

From the official account to casual followers, Twitter has been abuzz with the excitement that game day provides. Here is a look at the hype building leading up to the game.

The Florida-Georgia game is one where emotions run high and it is evident on social media as kickoff nears on Saturday.

The Gator Nation is brimming over with excitement on Saturday as everyone gets ready for the biggest game of the year for the Florida faithful as well as the enemy from the north, the Georgia Bulldogs.

As is the tradition, the rivalry game will play out on the turf at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville and also following a more recent trend, represents the match that determines the SEC East Division champion. The winner of this game will in all likelihood face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game with a chance not only to take the conference crown, but to also play in the College Football Playoff for that national championship.

Here is a look at the hype building up as game time nears.

WATCH NOW: Notre Dame releases epic hype video ahead of Clemson game

It’s game day. Get up and start getting excited by watching the epic video Notre Dame produced ahead of the Irish taking on No. 1 Clemson.

It’s been 15 years since Notre Dame played a top ranked team at Notre Dame Stadium, losing a heart-breaker to Reggie Bush and USC.

It’s been 27 years since Notre Dame knocked off No. 1 when they did so in the “Game of the Century” win over Florida State in 1993.

And it’s been 32 years since Notre Dame both knocked off No. 1 Miami and went on to win a national championship as they did in the fall of 1988.

It’s been a long time and now we’re counting only hours instead of days and weeks until the latest shot at No. 1 comes.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET tonight on NBC but until then, enjoy the hype video the University of Notre Dame released on Friday night.

Pardon me while I go run through a wall now.

Go Irish.

Beat Tigers.

Time to get psyched for the Florida vs Missouri game!

Social media is abuzz as the Florida Gators awaken from their COVID-19 slumber to take on the Missouri Tigers. Here’s what they’re saying.

Kickoff is nearly upon us as our beloved Florida Gators football team takes the field in the friendly confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on a crisp Halloween evening against the Missouri Tigers.

After a two-week layoff due to a COVID-19 outbreak, the team returns to action despite missing three defensive backs — cornerback Marco Wilson and safeties Shawn Davis and Donovan Stiner — and their starting kicker Evan McPherson, among others. Before the announcement, the Gators were favored by 14 points according to BetMGM, which has since dropped back down to 13.5 points with an increased 63.5 over/under.

With the depleted Gators defense facing a well-balanced Missouri offense, fans can expect a shootout between the two teams tonight, but the Gators should prevail when the final seconds tick off the clock. The duo of Kyle Trask and Kyle Pitts can be counted on to bring their A-game — let’s hope the team can shake off the two-week rust and add another notch in the win column heading into next week’s matchup with Georgia.
