The NFL playoffs are finally here and the stage is set for an exciting and thrilling journey to crown a Super Bowl champion.

The NFL playoffs are finally here and the stage is set for an exciting and thrilling journey to crown a Super Bowl champion.  In the AFC, the Bills and the Chiefs have consistently been the best in the conference all season, but the Bengals have come on strong of late and Justin Herbert could be a wild card as he makes his first playoff appearance with the Chargers. It’s tough to pinpoint a clear favorite heading into the playoffs, and that’s what makes the NFL so exciting.

The NFC playoff picture is a little murkier this year, with the Eagles having looked like the NFL’s best team for much of the season, but late-season bumps and injuries have thrown the conference into question. The 49ers, Cowboys, and Vikings are all waiting in the wings, ready to take advantage of any opportunity.

Seattle is fresh off taking down the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round. Though the Seahawks added Marshawn Lynch to their backfield, he didn’t account for much last week with rookie wide receiver D.K. Metcalf taking the spotlight on his seven-reception, 160-yard and one-touchdown night. Seattle’s defense also wreaked havoc last week, getting Eagles quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Josh McCown for a combined seven sacks.

Green Bay had a first-round bye and got the chance to rest ahead of this playoff matchup. New coach Matt Lafleur has the team buzzing to a 13-3 record, winning their last five games to come into the postseason with some momentum. Running back Aaron Jones has been spectacular this season, finding the end zone a total of 19 times (16 rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns).

Houston just edged out the Tennessee Titans for the AFC South crown in spite of not having defensive superstar J.J. Watt for most of the season. Now with Watt back from injured reserve, the Texans are hoping they’ll get a Super Bowl spark.

The Chiefs were a juggernaut on offense with Mahomes under center. They finished the regular season with the fifth-most passing yards and touchdown passes this season even though Mahomes missed two games with a knee injury. Kansas City went on a six-game winning streak to finish the season and will hope their home-field advantage gives them enough of an edge to make it seven.
