The Heat are coming off a 109-101 win at home in Game 4, covering as 4.5-point favorites. F Jimmy Butler led the way with 27 points and is averaging a team-high 33.5 points per game during the playoffs. Miami has covered 8 of 9 postseason games.

Heat at Knicks picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 111, Heat 104

Moneyline

PASS.

The Knicks (-165) are 3-1 at home so far in the postseason and they should come out on top with their backs against the wall. However, playing their moneyline isn’t a great wager as they should win by margin and the spread presents more bang for your buck.

Against the spread

BET KNICKS -3.5 (-110).

New York went down to Miami and was embarrassed in losing Games 3 and 4, especially for a team that has played very well on the road this season. The Knicks are still 2-2 ATS at home this postseason and would have been 3-1 had the spread been at this number in Game 2.

The Knicks were a profitable side to back in the regular season at 44-34-4 ATS. Miami has been performing well but the books are starting to react and this will be the lowest spread of the series for a game at MSG. The Heat are 18-30-3 ATS following a win, so this could be a position they struggle in as they look to close out the series.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 209.5 (-110).

The Heat have gone Over in 7 of their last 9 games. Miami’s top-tier defense led by Adebayo has typically leaned it to have lower totals, which it has crushed this postseason.

The Knicks are 2-1 O/U in their last 3 games and haven’t had the same offensive rebounding (2nd in the league with an offensive rebounding rate of 31.8% in the regular season). Expect the energy and easy second-chance buckets to be there in a win-or-go-home game for New York.

Miami Heat at New York Knicks Game 2 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks Game 2 odds and lines, with expert NBA picks, predictions and best bets.

The Miami Heat continue their best-of-7 Eastern Conference semifinal series against the New York Knicks Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. Tip for Game 2 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (TNT). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Heat vs. Knicks odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Heat leads the series 1-0 after opening with a 108-101 road victory to seize home-court advantage in Game 1 on Sunday.

Miami has won and covered 4 consecutive games as an underdog and has cashed the Over at a 5-1 clip in the past 6 outings. The Heat shot 42% (36-for-85) from the field in Game 1 while hitting 33% (13-for-39) from behind the 3-point arc.

F Jimmy Butler led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds in Game 1, as his magical postseason continues. However, he dinged up his ankle and is considered questionable for Game 2. Jimmy Buckets is averaging 35.5 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 4.7 APG and 1.8 SPG across 6 postseason games this year.

The Knicks won the final 3 games of their Round 1 series against the Cavaliers, but Miami splashed cold water on New York’s momentum in Game 1.

New York shot 47.7% (41-for-86) from the field, but it struggled from downtown at just 20.6% (7-for-34), and it was just 60% (12-for-20) from the free-throw line while turning it over 13 times. The Knicks were able to outrebound the Heat by a 48-to-39 margin.

PG Jalen Brunson had 25 points in Game 1, but he was 0-for-7 from downtown, while SG RJ Barrett led the way with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Like Butler, Brunson is nursing an ankle injury and is questionable.

Heat at Knicks picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 109, Heat 105

Moneyline

The Knicks (-275) will cost you nearly 3 times your potential return, and that’s obviously quite expensive for a team that lost on its home court in Game 1.

PASS.

Against the spread

The HEAT +6.5 (-110) are a solid play in Game 2 while catching more than 3 buckets.

Miami has covered the spread in 4 consecutive games and are 4-1 ATS in the past 5 after a straight-up win. The Heat are also 6-0 ATS in the past 6 games after a day of rest.

The Knicks are 4-0 ATS in the past 4 games after a non-cover, but they’re just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 Conference Semifinals games. The Knicks are also 5-12 ATS in the past 17 games at home against the Heat.

Over/Under

OVER 206.5 (-110) is the lean in Game 2.

The Over has cashed in 5 of the past 7 meetings, although the Under (210) just came in by a single point in Game 1.

The Over is 10-1 in the past 11 games for the Heat while working on a single day of rest, is 16-5 in the past 21 games overall and 6-1 in the past 7 on the road.

While the Under has hit in 6 in a row for the Knicks, the Over is 9-3-1 in the past 13 games against winning teams.

Miami Heat at New York Knicks Game 1 odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Miami Heat at New York Knicks Game 1 odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Miami Heat and New York Knicks meet Sunday for Game 1 of their 2nd-round playoff series. Tip-off from Madison Square Garden is set for 1 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Heat vs. Knicks odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Miami completed the gentlemen’s sweep on the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the 1st round. G Jimmy Butler has been on a tear in the playoffs, averaging 37.6 points per game (PPG). The next highest playoff scorer for the Heat is C Bam Adebayo at 17.4 PPG.

New York defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in 5 games, a series many people thought would go to 7 games. The highlight from that series was the play of C Mitchell Robinson, who averaged 9.8 rebound and 2.2 blocks per game and looked like the best big on the floor. Look for coach Tom Thibodeau to use New York’s depth on the wing to its advantage on both sides of the ball.

Heat at Knicks picks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 105, Heat 99

Moneyline

AVOID.

The Knicks should win this game at home if they can limit Butler and force other Heat players to try to score, which will be hard with Tyler Herro out. But I’m not a fan of the Knicks at -200. The risk is not worth the reward here.

Against the spread

BET KNICKS -4.5 (-115).

New York is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days of rest. New York is also 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning record. The Heat are only 1-4 ATS in the last 5 matchups with the Knicks. Look for the Knicks to use their wing depth to throw multiple defenders on Butler to keep him from getting comfortable.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 207.5 (-110).

For New York the Under is 5-0 in their last 5 overall, 4-0 in their last 4 following an ATS win, and 4-0 in their last 4 following a straight up win. The Under is also 20-6 in the last 26 meetings in New York.

Heat at Knicks picks and predictions

Prediction

Heat 110, Knicks 106

Moneyline

Following an impressive road win over the Cavaliers, I’m siding with the HEAT (-125) to secure another road victory. Miami has seemingly figured things out recently and New York has been struggling to win games.

Against the spread

HEAT -1.5 (-115) is how I’d bet on the spread in this game as we only need Miami to win by at least 1 basket. The Heat finally has C Bam Adebayo, F Jimmy Butler, G Kyle Lowry, and G Tyler Herro playing together again.

The Heat is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 road meetings against the Knicks and 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall.

Over/Under

Even though these teams play at such a slow pace, OVER 213.5 (-115) is the lean here.

The Knicks are 7-0-1 to the Over in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. The Over is also 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between the Heat and the Knicks.

Miami Heat at New York Knicks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Miami Heat at New York Knicks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Miami Heat (38-21) visit Madison Square Garden Friday to take on the New York Knicks (25-34). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Heat vs. Knicks odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Heat are 2nd in the Eastern Conference after a Chicago Bulls victory Thursday. Their first action since the All-Star break will be this lone road outing before a two-game homestand begins Saturday.

Miami is 33-25-1 against the spread (ATS) this season and is 4-5-1 ATS over its last 10. The Heat are 19-14 straight up on the road this season which compares favorably to the Knicks’ 13-17 home record.

New York is 26-33 ATS this season and is led by its 17th ranked defensive rating (110.3), while its offensive rating is 25th (108.4). The Knicks are just 3-5 ATS this season as home underdogs.

Heat at Knicks odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Heat 107, Knicks 100

Money line

PASS.

Tossing the Heat in a parlay wouldn’t be a bettors’ worst idea, but playing them outright on their own at -230 doesn’t have a ton of value. The Knicks are just 2-6 straight up as home underdogs.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

“LEAN” to MIAMI -5.5 (-110).

Simply put, Miami is the better team and New York hasn’t played well at home this season. The Knicks are 12-17 straight up on the road and 13-17 at home, basically showing no homecourt advantage.

The Heat rank eighth in offensive rating and sixth in defensive rating. The Suns are the only other team to be ranked top eight in both areas.

One thing the Knicks are actually decent at is the offensive glass as theyrank seventh in offensive rebounding rate. However, the Heat counter that nicely with their ninth in defensive rebounding rate.

They’ll take away the Knicks’ edge and likely be able to pull away.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 210.5 (-107).

While the Heat have a top-10 offense, they play at one of the slowest paces in the NBA. Miami sits 28th in pace while New York is just below it at 29th.

The Heat are 35-24 O/U this season yet have had the Under hit in five of their last seven games.

The Knicks’ offensive woes against a good defense should loom large. They rank 27th in points per game at 105.1. New York is 16-20 O/U in conference games as well.

Miami Heat at New York Knicks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Miami Heat at New York Knicks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The New York Knicks (24-22) host the Miami Heat (22-24) Monday at Madison Square Garden for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Heat-Knicks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Miami has lost six games in a row (0-6 against the spread) following a five-game win streak that started prior to the All-Star break. The Heat were buyers at the trade deadline by sending PF Kelly Olynyk to the Houston Rockets for SG Victor Oladipo in hopes of improving their outside shooting.

New York has won three games in a row and four of its last five games including back-to-back home wins over the Washington Wizards and against the injury-depleted Milwaukee Bucks. The Knicks were without leading scorer PF Julius Randle.

Heat at Knicks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Knicks 109, Heat 104

Money line (ML)

New York is the right side in this game as long as Randle is able to play.

The KNICKS (+145) offense is trending up with wing RJ Barrett playing the best ball of his young career and PG Derrick Rose returning to the lineup in the previous outing after being sidelined due to COVID-19 since the end of February.

The Heat’s offense is limited to SF Jimmy Butler getting to the foul line and their 3-point shooting has plummeted since last year. I don’t hate Miami taking a flyer on Oladipo but Olynyk was second on the team in on-off court net rating.

Also, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Olynyk’s departure could have the biggest impact on the Heat’s offensive efficiency and rebounding rate on both sides of the floor.

LEAN KNICKS (+145) for a quarter-unit only because Randle’s status is still up in the air.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Definitely BET KNICKS +4 (-110) heavier than or instead of New York’s money line if or when Randle is cleared to play.

I don’t like the Heat’s chances of creating a scoring margin in this game with their limited offense and the Knicks are 13-8-1 with a plus-4.7 ATS margin at home this season.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS with a lean toward the Over 206.5 (-110) because the previous Heat-Knicks game was the first to go Under in the past four meetings but both teams are tough defensively and play at an ultra-slow pace.
