WATCH: Drue Chrisman goes for Guiness World record in bottle flipping

Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman has been trying to officially submit a bottle-flipping record to the folks at Guinness World Records. Watch.

By now you know Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman is pretty good at more than just flipping the field in a football game with his soaring punts. He’s good at proposing, but the other love he’s mastered is the art of bottle-flipping.

You don’t have to search very hard to find video of Chrisman flipping, kicking, and twirling partially filled water bottles. In fact, for starters, all you have to do is visit his Twitter profile and scroll to the first couple of shared content. And even now, a quick scroll will quickly show you the OSU punter’s attempt at a Guinness World Record in bottle-flipping. The premise is simple; flip a water bottle as many times as you can and have it land correctly in :30 seconds.

Chrisman first submitted his attempt to the folks at Guinness straight through Twitter on Saturday and it was impressive. He didn’t miss one flip –sending a Dasani water bottle on end 21 one times in the time allotted. It was acknowledged by the folks at Guinness, but it was unclear whether it is official or not.

But wait — Chrisman wasn’t done. Apparently receiving feedback that others were challenging, or surpassing his results, Chrisman shared another video. And this time he landed 25 bottle flips in :30 seconds.

We’re still waiting to hear what this counts as officially, but unofficially, it’s mesmerizing. If Chrisman works this hard at practicing his punting, Ohio State opponents might very well “flip” out in 2020.
