Gronk celebrates Mr. Stache’s birthday with a cake

The friendship between Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski and his new friend Mr. Stache took another turn in Gronk’s latest Instagram post.

Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski had himself a busy time last week. Not only did the future Hall of Famer celebrate his 31st birthday, but he introduced the world to his new friend, Mr. Stache (oh, yes, that’s a thing).

And, if you thought Gronk’s fun with Mr. Stache was over, think again. The big man took to Instagram yesterday to show off a little birthday cake that was made in honor of Mr. Stache. Gronk posted a video of him enjoying the cake with his buddy, and then getting a face full of cake from his girlfriend, model Camille Kostek.

Take a look at some screenshots from Gronk’s recent Instagram story below.

Cameron Brate could climb up the Bucs record book in 2020

Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate could find himself climbing the record books with a big year in 2020.

The Buccaneers traded for Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski the week of the draft, bringing him out of his one-year retirement to reunite with quarterback Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

Gronk will be joining a tight end group that already includes both O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate. While Gronk is perhaps the best tight end to ever play, it’s Brate who has a chance to climb the Bucs record book in 2020.

With just 267 more receiving yards, Brate will be find himself second on the Bucs’ career-receiving list for tight ends. Jimmie Giles is the all-time leader with 4,300 yards.

Brate will certainly have to share the ball, though, given the number of receivers Brady has to work with. Still, Brate hasn’t finished a season with less than 288 receiving yards since 2014, so he could get there.

This Rob Gronkowski stat will make your head spin

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski celebrated his 31st birthday this week, and this stat puts into perspective just how great he has been on the field.

Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday, and was shown plenty of love from fans and friends.

Tampa Bay fans have been busy celebrating since the team traded for the All-Pro tight end, luring him out of retirement to reunite him with quarterback Tom Brady.

Gronk was a force to be reckoned with in New England with Brady as his quarterback. In just his second season in 2011, he set the NFL tight end record for touchdowns in a single season with 17. He had 79 touchdowns when he called it a career last offseason at the age of 29.

To put that in perspective, take a look at the below stat.

He may be north of 30 now, but you can expect Gronk to bring the same energy to the field this season for Tampa Bay. Bucs fans are certainly in for a treat.

It’s ‘Game On’ for Rob Gronkowski and Venus Williams

Take a look at a promo for Rob Gronkowski’s new CBS show, “Game On.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been blessed with the gift that is Rob Gronkowski, whose laid-back personality and frat boy attitude seems like a perfect fit in sunny Florida. He’s been able to get away with acting like Gronk for so long because his performance on the field has never suffered.

While the 2020 regular season is still months away, Bucs fans don’t have to wait much longer to see Gronk competing. The new Bucs tight end will appear in CBS’ upcoming show called “Game On,” featuring Gronk along with tennis legend Venus Williams.

Check out a promo for the show Gronk recently posted on Instagram.

It looks entertaining enough to at least check out once. Plus, it has Gronk. You can’t go wrong with that, right?

This Instagram post perfectly sums up who Gronk is

If you wanted to sum up Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski in one Instagram post, this would be it.

Rob Gronkowski is coming out of his one-year retirement to reunite with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. Gronk was Brady’s go-to guy for nearly a decade and was instrumental in helping the Patriots go to five Super Bowls during his nine-year career, winning three.

But, it’s who Gronk is off the field that has made him such a household name. From posing with kittens to talking about Tide pods, the future Hall of Fame tight end has been a gift to all.

And, if you just wanted to sum up who Gronk is in one Instagram post, the one below would be it. Everything from the picture, to the caption, to his interaction with the fan just screams Gronk. Bucs fans have no idea what they’re in for.

Take a look.

Seriously, how did the NFL survive without this guy? Clearly, the Patriots offense couldn’t survive, as they struggled last season to find consistency in the passing game.

Fortunately, Brady won’t have to worry about that next season given the number of receivers he’ll have around him.

Rob Gronkowski futures odds: 2020 NFL awards, picks and best bets

Assessing Rob Gronkowski’s futures odds to win major NFL awards in 2020, with NFL betting odds, picks and best bets.

Future NFL Hall of Fame TE Rob Gronkowski has come out of retirement to be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and reunite with QB Tom Brady for the 2020 season. Below, we break down Gronkowski’s NFL futures odds at BetMGM and assess his chances of winning the NFL MVP and Comeback Player of the Year awards.

Already one of the most accomplished tight ends in NFL history, Gronkowski is still just 30 years old and is viewed as a frontrunner for the CPOY and a long shot for the MVP.

Rob Gronkowski futures: MVP odds

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Odds last updated Tuesday, April 28 at 12:35 p.m. ET.

Gronkowski is one of 28 players with +15000 odds to win the 2020 MVP award. Sixty-seven players have longer odds and 46 have lower odds. Four other tight ends are listed, with San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle leading the position at +10000. Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz is +15000, Las Vegas Raiders TE Darren Waller is +20000 and Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is +250000.

A $10 bet on Gronkowski to be named MVP would return a profit of $1,500 if he were to win. Despite the sizable payout, this bet draws a hard PASS. No tight end in NFL history has ever been named MVP. Despite Gronk’s relative youth, he’s unlikely to come anywhere near a stellar 2011 campaign in which he racked up 1,327 yards and 17 touchdowns, and didn’t receive a single vote.

Additionally, if the Buccaneers succeed in the turnaround they’re expected to pull off this season, it will undoubtedly be Brady getting the credit with MVP odds of just +1400. WRs Mike Evans (+10000) and Chris Godwin (+20000) could also receive recognition to detract from Gronk voters.

Rob Gronkowski futures: Comeback Player of the Year odds

A much safer play for those wanting betting action on Gronkowski in the 2020 NFL season is for Comeback Player of the Year. At +400, Gronkowski is the award’s co-favorite with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Gronkowski previously won the award in 2014, when he returned from a torn ACL (and several other injuries) to amass 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns on 82 receptions. He isn’t facing quite the same hurdles as Roethlisberger, who is returning from elbow surgery which cut his 2019 campaign short mid-way through Week 2, but he’ll be playing for 2020’s “it” team and has always drawn plenty of attention.

Say YES to this bet and back Gronkowski to win the 2020 Comeback Player of the Year award at +400. A $10 bet will return a profit of $40.

Rob Gronkowski says ‘my fire is back’ in latest Instagram post

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski took to Instagram to thank all of Patriots Nation for their support and talk about his excitement for returning.

The Buccaneers landed future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski this week after completing a trade with the Patriots that will bring the soon-to-be 31-year-old to Tampa to reunite with Tom Brady.

Gronkowski and Brady had an on-field chemistry that helped keep the Patriots dynasty going strong for the last decade. Now, the duo is hoping to replicate that championship success with the Bucs.

Gronk took to Instagram yesterday, posting a thank you to all of New England and talking about his excitement for the new chapter in his life.

View this post on Instagram

First and foremost, I want to thank the Patriots Organization for everything over the last 10 years. Without Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick taking a chance on me in the 2010 draft, I wouldn’t be sitting here in this position in life, THANK YOU both as well my former teammates for everything over the years. . . New England Patriot Fans, you guys have been nothing but amazing. I love you guys and appreciate your constant support for me big time over the last 10 years (even during retirement). THANK YOU all so much, the memories are incredible #PatsNation. . . I am beyond excited for this new chapter in my life. It’s an opportunity I will certainly not take for granted. I said it from the beginning that I wouldn’t come back to the game unless I’m feeling it, feeling healthy, and feeling ready to play. Taking a year off was hands down the best decision I made, not just in my career, but also for my health and well-being, and I would do that all over again. . . And now my fire is back. I am grateful for this new chapter of my career. I’m pumped to get down to Tampa, meet my new teammates, work hard, have a blast doing it, and give it my all this season!! I’m back and ready to lay a smack! #GoBucs!! ARRR!!! 🏴‍☠️🏈

Bucs GM Jason Licht responds to O.J. Howard trade speculation

Despite acquiring Rob Gronkowski in a trade, Bucs GM Jason Licht seems willing to keep O.J. Howard around.

Ever since the Buccaneers traded for tight end Rob Gronkowski this week, speculation has increased that former first-round pick O.J. Howard could be on the way out in Tampa Bay.

Howard, who finished last season with just 34 receptions for 459 yards and one touchdown, hasn’t been moved yet, but rumors have persisted that he might be ready to move on from the Bucs. Tampa Bay GM Jason Licht came out today and addressed the trade rumors surrounding Howard.

That’s about as corporate an answer as you can get. It sounds more like Licht is trying to get teams to offer up more for the tight end. We’ll see how things play out over the next few days.

Watch: Notre Dame’s Kmet Discusses Replacing Gronk

In the short video you can see Kmet discuss growing up and watching Rob Gronkowski star at tight end which simply made me feel old.  You can find out just how big of a Gronk fan Kmet was during his high school days.

[jwplayer YhlVC2kZ]

Where is Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet going to be headed to play professional football?  Some have him going in the first round while others don’t see him getting selected until the third round of this week’s NFL Draft.

Kmet had a video call with Mackenzie Salmon of The Sports Pulse and discussed exactly that, as you can watch above.

In the short video you can see Kmet discuss growing up and watching Rob Gronkowski star at tight end which simply made me feel old.  You can find out just how big of a Gronk fan Kmet was during his high school days.

He also shares his thoughts on the evolution of the tight end position and why it takes longer for tight ends to develop in the NFL compared to players at other positions.

I have trouble believing Kmet ends up being taken by the Patriots at 23 overall but I doubt Kmet is there when New England is scheduled to make their second pick at 87 overall.  If Kmet is to be the long-term replacement for Gronkowski in New England, I’d guess it’d mean the Patriots make a trade in order to select him.
