Longhorns still in the mix for 2025 4-star cornerback Graceson Littleton

While the last few months have been full of excitement, they have a promising future and are still in the running for one of the most talented cornerbacks in the 2025 class, Graceson Littleton

During the 2024 campaign, the Texas Longhorns have been one of the best teams in college football. Following a dominating win over Florida on Saturday, Texas is poised for a deep playoff run. While the last few months have been full of excitement, they have a promising future and are still in the running for one of the most talented cornerbacks in the 2025 class, Graceson Littleton.

Over the weekend, Littleton visited campus and saw the Longhorns beat the Gators convincingly. While Michigan is also pursuing him, the Longhorns reportedly have a good chance of landing the Tampa native.

” There is some good Michigan buzz, but I haven’t made a prediction yet because this Texas visit was lingering, ” said On3’s Steve Wiltfong.” I think it’s close, so we will see how he feels after this Texas visit. The interest in the Longhorns is very real.”

If Graceson chooses the Longhorns, he will join a talented secondary. The Longhorns 2025 class includes five-star safety Jonah Williams, four-star safety Zelus Hicks, and three-star cornerback Caleb Chester. With Graceson in the mix the Longhorns defense would get a significant boost.

Over the next few weeks, Graceson will be a player for Longhorns fans to watch. He is ranked as the 12th-best cornerback in his class by On3. The Longhorns are hoping that he chooses Austin as the place to start what could be a memorable college career.

Michigan football gets predictions for elite 2025 defensive back

The secondary recruiting has been insane lately! #GoBlue

Michigan football recruiting is picking up in a big way. Not only are the Wolverines working to flip 2025 Belleville (Michigan) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood from LSU, but they also flipped four-star cornerback Shamari Earls from Georgia and are hosting LSU commit Derek Meadows for the Oregon game.

One big development took place on Friday when 2025 Tampa (Florida) Wiregrass Ranch four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton decommitted from Clemson. Shortly after, it was revealed Littleton would visit Ann Arbor for the Week 10 tilt against the Ducks.

Before his visit began, The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb and Steve Lorenz put in 247Sports crystal ball predictions that Littleton would flip to the maize and blue.

Here is how he ranks according to the recruiting services:

* Ovr. Pos. St.
247Sports Composite 4 75 9 11
On3 Industry Ranking 4 99 12 15
247Sports 4 72 10 11
On3 4 97 12 15
ESPN 4 100 11 15
Rivals 4 163 16 32

The scouting report from 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins:

Ascending cornerback prospect with the ideal mix of size and speed. Put himself on the national radar spring before senior season, clocking a laser-timed 4.51 effort in the 40-yard dash at an Under Armour Next Camp outside of Orlando. Comfortable at this stage in press-man coverage as he fights for leverage and does his best to maintain phase while out on the perimeter. Not a ton of ball production to date (only had one interception as a junior), but is competitive when the football is in the air and will do his best to shade throwing lanes. Tries to get off blocks and will use his turbo to get across the field and make tackles in pursuit. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level and a possible all-conference selection if he can keep progressing. Likely to find the most success in a defensive scheme that wants to man-up on the outside and get aggressive, but could also always get a look over the top with his range.

With a couple of defensive back targets still on the board — such as four-star safety Jordan Young and four-star defensive back Elijah Dotson from Belleville — it will be interesting to see how the secondary recruiting plays out from here to signing day.

Iowa football target Graceson Littleton commits to Clemson

Graceson Littleton committed to Clemson ahead of his scheduled visit to Iowa.

One of the Iowa Hawkeyes‘ anticipated visitors for their big recruiting weekend on June 21 instead has announced his collegiate pledge elsewhere.

Blue-chip defensive back Graceson Littleton was expected to visit Iowa on June 21, but, after a visit to Clemson earlier this week, Littleton instead committed to Dabo Swinney and the Tigers.

Littleton announced his decision on X.

Littleton committed to the Tigers over Iowa, Penn State, Oklahoma and Alabama. Littleton visited Penn State on May 31 and was slated to visit Alabama June 7, Oklahoma June 14 and Iowa on June 21.

Out of Wiregrass Ranch High School in Tampa, Florida, Littleton is ranked 71st overall, ninth among cornerbacks and 10th in Florida by 247Sports.

On3 rates Littleton 110th overall, 12th among cornerbacks and 18th in Florida. ESPN lists Littleton as the No. 204 player overall, the No. 22 cornerback and the No. 28 player from Florida. Rivals ranks Littleton as the No. 90 cornerback and the No. 29 player from the Sunshine State.

Already with seven pledges, Iowa’s 2025 recruiting class ranks 35th according to On3 and 43rd according to both 247Sports and Rivals.

Among those seven commits is one defensive back, Loyola Academy safety Drew MacPherson.

Clemson lands massive 4-star commitment from cornerback Graceson Littleton

Swinney and the Tigers land a big commitment in the 2025 class.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program have a stacked 2025 recruiting class, with that class getting that much more stacked on Wednesday with a huge commitment in the secondary.

Four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton announced his commitment to Clemson via X (formerly known as Twitter), landing the Tigers another 4-star recruit and top player in the class. The  6-foot, 180-pound lockdown corner chose the Tigers over Alabama, Penn State and Oklahoma.

According to 247Sports 2025 class rankings, Littleton ranks as the No. 9 cornerback and the No. 71 overall player. A huge commitment for a Clemson program that needs to hit in recruiting to succeed.

Clemson’s 2025 class was already considered Top 5 and could jump further up the rankings with this commitment.

Info coming out of Penn State’s first official visit weekend

Penn State had a busy weekend of recruiting with a number of official visits from top recruiting targets.

Penn State entered its first official visit weekend that just wrapped up with many of the top targets coming to Happy Valley to get a better look at the program.

As one of the first dates on the calendar for multiple recruits in this crop, this served as an important time for the Nittany Lions to cement themselves at the top of the board, or to ensure they stay in consideration as more trips are taken.

Even though there is still time for [autotag]James Franklin[/autotag] and his staff to continue to working on gaining commitments, they ideally will start adding to their tally of 13 to fortify their 2025 class.

Because this was such an important weekend, information coming out from different prospects who made the trip is paramount in determining who is a realistic target at this point and who might be taken off the board heading into the upcoming official visits still on the calendar.

Sean Fitz of On3 was able to gather some intel and share what he’s heard so far from players coming out of this trip (subscription required).

Close to Commitment

There has been an expectation for a while that Penn State would eventually land instate wide receiver [autotag]Lex Cyrus[/autotag] who is rated as a four-star recruit. He’s taken six trips to Happy Valley, the most out of any school, and is one of their top priorities.

Fitz seems to think that’s coming as he said he’s close to putting an official pick in for the Nittany Lions to land the speedster.

Cyrus is taking an official visit to South Carolina this upcoming weekend, the other program who is really in the mix to land him, however, Penn State has done a good job throughout this process and could be gaining another receiver commitment soon.

Feeling Good

Some of the Nittany Lions’ top defensive back targets made their way to campus this weekend, and information is coming out that they were able to stay in good standing as the recruits left.

Four-star cornerback [autotag]Brandon Finney[/autotag] became a priority and it seems like Penn State is in good standing following this weekend even as he has more trips on his calendar.

Fitz said that the visit from [autotag]Antonio Branch[/autotag] went really well and the Nittany Lions are still at the top of his board saying that a decision could be coming soon and that he’s been close to locking in a commitment with Penn State.

What might have been the most important development is regarding four-star Texas linebacker [autotag]Max Granville[/autotag]. Fitz reports that the Nittany Lions are feeling “very good” about where they stand in his recruitment right now. It’s going to be a battle holding off USC, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M as he’s set to visit those campuses, but they like where they’re at following his visit.

Positive Buzz

Consensus four-star corner [autotag]Graceson Littleton[/autotag] seemed like bit of a longshot entering this official visit, but it seems like they made another good impression on the Florida native prior to him heading out to see Alabama, Oklahoma, and Iowa.

Elite wide receiver [autotag]Quincy Porter[/autotag] made his way for an important visit, and despite some pessimism that he actually views Penn State as a viable option with Michigan and Ohio State recruiting him hard, this trip seemed to have landed well for the No. 46 player in this class.

One of their other top wide receiver targets [autotag]Corey Simms[/autotag] reportedly had a “really good weekend” as he likes the staff and enjoyed his trip to Happy Valley. He’s always been viewed as a longshot, but this certainly helped their chances.

Closing Thoughts

Overall, there wasn’t much to suggest the Nittany Lions are going to secure commitments in the upcoming days, but that has rarely happened for this program during the first major official visit weekend.

Outside of Cyrus and Branch, who already seemed close to picking Penn State, there isn’t certainty that they’re going to land many of the recruits who were on campus.

However, they certainly made a good impression on many of their top targets, one of the main goals anytime the Nittany Lions host prospects in an official capacity, and that could loom large throughout the remainder of their processes.

Penn State is looking to land four-star CB after visit this weekend

Penn State will continue recruiting help for the defensive secondary with this upcoming visit.

Based on who is currently committed to Penn State in the class of 2025, there is going to be lot of emphasis on the defensive side of the football by [autotag]James Franklin[/autotag] and his staff during the upcoming official visits starting this weekend.

Out of the 13 who have already pledged to the Nittany Lions, only four are defenders with three of them being linebackers.

Secondary and the defensive line are clear priorities as they look to bolster this class that has progressed a bit slower than what took place in last year’s cycle.

However, there is still plenty of time left in the recruitment of many top prospects, and Penn State is looking to use their official visits to persuade players that this is the program for them.

One who they would love to land is four-star [autotag]Graceson Littleton[/autotag] out of Tampa, Florida.

Ranked as the No. 9 player at his position and 71st overall by 247Sports, the cornerback will be on campus this upcoming weekend in what is going to be a huge visit.

He had previously told On3 that he was impressed with Penn State when he visited for the first time in early-April after he was able to look at the whole facility and attend practice, while also sitting down with all the coaches. His takeaway was the culture and intensity of the program.

Happy Valley will be the first of Littleton’s official visits as he’s set to see Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Iowa following his upcoming trip.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Crimson Tide as the favorites to land him with a 24.4 percent chance, but does list the Nittany Lions second at 17.0 percent.

It will likely be tough for them to maintain a stronghold as the four-star’s preferred destination since they’re the first place he’s seeing, but with a strong showing they will certainly help themselves out.

Blue-chip 2025 CB recruit talks scholarship offer from Florida

This highly-coveted in-state defensive back in the 2025 cycle is feeling the love from the Orange and Blue.

Florida football’s recruiting efforts remain in high gear as Billy Napier and his army of staffers continue their efforts to rebuild a once-proud program in the Swamp.

One of Florida’s targets in the 2025 cycle is four-star cornerback [autotag]Graceson Littleton[/autotag] out of Cocoa (Florida), who is coveted by a myriad of teams around the nation for his talents. Napier and Co. have stressed the importance of recruiting hard for in-state products and the high school junior fits that bill perfectly.

The 6-foot-180-pound defensive back recently spoke with 247Sports’ Tom Loy about his recent scholarship offers, which include the Alabama Crimson Tide, Cincinnati Bearcats, Duke Blue Devils, Florida, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, Louisville Cardinals, Oklahoma Sooners and Ole Miss Rebels, among others.

On Florida’s scholarship offer

“(They are) are obviously showing a lot of love too. I like coach Will Harris at Florida. He’s young and very in tune. I’m going to hop on a Facetime with him. He seems like he knows a lot about the game. I’ve seen a lot of videos of him on the internet. Just like Coach Mo, he’s very interactive with his players. Recruiting summary

Official visit plans

“I haven’t set up any official visits currently,” Littleton revealed. “I’m thinking of making a decision around August. With official visits, we’re getting there. We’re narrowing it down. My goal is go to Power 5. I’m still building relationships.”

Sooners are latest school to offer 2025 CB Graceson Littleton

Recruiting profile for 2025 three-star CB Graceson Littleton.

Recruiting Florida is nothing new for Oklahoma. It has been recruiting the Sunshine State regularly for a while. It has been successful in bringing in multiple contributors and starters from the state. In recent years, Florida has treated the Sooners well.

One area of Florida that has been very generous to the Sooners is the Tampa area. Oklahoma landed commits from that area in its last two recruiting classes. Is it potentially looking for a third commit in as many classes? Its latest scholarship offer went to Graceson Littleton. Littleton is a 2025 cornerback prospect at Wharton High School in Tampa.

247Sports has him listed as a three-star on its rankings. He’s not rated on any of the other sites. He has excellent foot speed and is listed at 6 feet.
