Warriors’ Steph Curry (rest) out vs. Bucks on Saturday night

The Warriors star point guard will get a rest day on Saturday night against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Coming off a much-needed win to open a four-game road swing on Friday night against the Chicago Bulls, the Golden State Warriors won’t have much time to celebrate with a stop in Milwaukee slated for the second leg of a back-to-back on Saturday evening.

However, the Golden State Warriors will have to figure out how to slow down the new pairing of Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo without their star point guard. Two-time MVP Steph Curry has been ruled out on Saturday with a rest day.

Via @anthonyVslater on Twitter:

Curry has played in the Warriors’ last 25 games and is coming off a 27-point performance against the Bulls.

Curry will join Draymond Green, Chris Paul and Moses Moody on the sideline for Saturday’s game in Milwaukee. With Curry out, Steve Kerr will need to lean on rookie Brandin Podziemski and veteran ball handler Corey Joseph.

The Warriors will meet the Bucks at 5 p.m. PT on Saturday night in Milwaukee.

The Damian Lillard trade to the Bucks had NBA players as stunned as fans

NBA players are all of us reacting this the Damian Lillard trade.

Holy blockbuster trade, Batman. The Milwaukee Bucks landed seven-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard Wednesday as part of a three-way trade.

It’s no secret that Lillard has wanted out of the Portland Trailblazers organization for a while now. Rumors had been flying about the possibility of Portland shipping Lillard to other destinations to accommodate his request. Even Lillard was amazed at the heights these rumors reached, including a request involving the Miami Heat that set social media on fire.

With Lillard heading to Milwaukee to join Giannis Antetokounmpo, players around the NBA reacted to the shocking news.

Like fans, they are equally as stunned.

The Suns have lost the last three games in the series and will need Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, and most importantly Chris Paul to show up tonight in Milwaukee if they want to force a game seven in Phoenix. As for the Bucks, they are coming off three straight wins and have really found their groove as of late. Giannis and company have the opportunity to give their fans what they have been waiting for, an NBA Championship at home.

The Wisconsin Badger family reacts to the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 5 win

The Bucks are one win away from an NBA title and the Badger family has a lot to say about it

The Milwaukee Bucks moved within one game of an NBA title last night on the heels of another great performance by Giannis Antetokounmpo and a miraculous late-game steal by Jrue Holiday.

The Wisconsin sports world rejoiced after the win, though I will save that reaction and analysis for those that cover the team.

For those in Madison, Wisconsin, though, we did see some of the Badger family react to the exciting win.

There’s a lot of crossover, obviously, between Bucks and Badger nation. You see many in-state guys come to Madison already as big Bucks fans, but you also see some from out-of-state adopt Wisconsin sports fandom as their own.

Here were some of the reactions we saw to the Bucks’ Game 5 victory last night:

The Suns are coming into game three with a 2-0 series lead and will look to keep that momentum going when they take the court in Milwaukee tonight. Meanwhile, the Bucks are in need of a win tonight and they will have their home fans back but will need a solid free-throw performance from Giannis and will need some help from the outside if they want to win game three.

The Milwaukee Bucks will meet the Phoenix Suns in Game 2 of the NBA Finals from PHX Arena on Thursday night.

The Bucks will look to bounce back and even up the series after suffering a 118-105 loss in game one. Giannis and company have the opportunity to tie it up before taking it back home for game three. As for the Suns, they just continue to dominate without missing a step. Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton controlled game one and will look to continue that momentum.

The Milwaukee Bucks will meet the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of the NBA Finals from PHX Arena on Tuesday night.

The Bucks are coming off a six-game series win over the Atlanta Hawks to reach the NBA Finals and they finished the Hawks off without Giannis playing the last two games. It is looking like he’ll be questionable for tonight’s game one as well, which means they’ll need Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez to all step up.  Meanwhile, the Suns are coming off a six-game series win over the Clippers who were missing their best player in Kawhi Leonard. Devin Booker has stepped up to lead the Suns in scoring with Chris Paul right behind him, who has had a great playoff so far.
