One former Bulldog who was proud to see his alma mater take home the Governor’s Cup once again is Thomas Davis, who is in his 15th NFL season and now with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Davis was a monster at Georgia, and though he made his NFL earnings as a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers, he actually played safety in Athens before becoming a first round pick. One of the hardest hitters in school history, Davis was a two-time All-SEC selection, making the second team in 2003 and the first team in 2004.
