Georgia football S Richard LeCounte posts epic troll after Tech win

UGA football safety Richard LeCounte posted an epic troll a after the Georgia Bulldogs win over Georgia Tech.

Georgia safety Richard LeCounte played incredible football in the month of November, from breaking up a fourth and short for Florida to recovering a fumble after a great play vs Texas A&M to aiding in holding Georgia Tech to 139 total yards on Saturday.

Following the game, LeCounte posted one of the greatest photos of the 2019 season to Twitter, a picture of him posing in front of Georgia Tech students following the game.

Never change, #2.

Georgia football players talk George Pickens ejection

Georgia football players talk George Pickens ejection after fight with Tech player,.

On Saturday, Georgia freshman wide receiver George Pickens sat out the first half of the Georgia Tech game for what Kirby Smart described as a ‘team matter.’

When he returned in the second half, he made a splash, catching a 41 yard touchdown pass from Jake Fromm.

But that was the only good thing that came from Pickens playing in the rivalry game on Saturday. He and Georgia Tech defensive back Tre Swilling got into it in the end zone and eventually end up exchanging punches with each other. Swilling hit first, twice, including one to Pickens’ throat.

Following the Tech game, Georgia players discussed the Pickens incident.

“That’s a huge lesson for him to not have him do something dumb like that,” linebacker Monty Rice said. “He’s a vital part of the team, vital part of the offense. You see how productive he is. He’s just gotta be smarter.

Ain’t no way around it. Ain’t no woulda’, coulda’ shoulda’. All you have to do is not throw a punch or slap or whatever it was. You just have to be smart.”

Pickens will be suspended for the first half of Georgia’s SEC Championship Game vs LSU. Additionally, the Bulldogs’ top receiver Lawrence Cager underwent ankle surgery this past week will not play. That is huge news seeing as how Jake Fromm has struggled this season without his top receivers out there. Dominick Blaylock and Tyler Simmons, who commented below, will be the go to guys.

“There’s always going to be some chippy talk and a chippy game like this between two rivals,”  Simmons said. “But you can’t let that get to you.”

UGA football great after Tech win: ‘We still run this state’

UGA Football great Thomas Davis gave a shout out to the Georgia Bulldogs after beating Georgia tech again

On Saturday, Georgia beat rival Georgia Tech 52-7 for the 16th time in the last 19 meetings.

The Dawgs move to 11-1 on the season and will have a tough matchup with LSU for the SEC Championship, which for Georgia will be a College Football Playoff play-in game.

One former Bulldog who was proud to see his alma mater take home the Governor’s Cup once again is Thomas Davis, who is in his 15th NFL season and now with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Davis was a monster at Georgia, and though he made his NFL earnings as a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers, he actually played safety in Athens before becoming a first round pick. One of the hardest hitters in school history, Davis was a two-time All-SEC selection, making the second team in 2003 and the first team in 2004. Also, if that’s not enough, the dude has come back from three torn ACLs in the same knee. And you know who he credits his perseverance to? UGA.

Georgia fans took over Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday

Georgia football fans took over Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday

If the angles on TV didn’t already do it justice, Georgia fans absolutely took over Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday.

After invading Nashville to kick off the 2019 season, you all have been with this team through thick and thin, and for that we say thank you.

This journey is far from over, but today was another great step in the right direction for the game we’ve been waiting for since Jacksonville.

But first, take a moment to enjoy these pics from ‘The Flats’.

Georgia’s final TD against Georgia Tech was even funnier than you thought

Georgia football’s final touchdown against Georgia Tech was even funnier than you probably thought

Remember that last touchdown Georgia scored against Georgia Tech Saturday to hang half a hundred on the Jackets?

You know, the one that made this guy put a bag back on his head?

Well, if you weren’t at the game or you hit the exits for a head start on traffic, you missed one epic fail by the Jackets.

Georgia Tech, the so-called engineering school, decided to blast ‘Kernkraft 400’ from the stadium speakers in the middle of a play and well, it didn’t go as planned.

Whether this was planned out or just an accident, the Jackets fumbled a Jake Camarda punt in the end zone, which Tyson Campbell fell on for the Georgia touchdown.

(Sound up)

This put the Dawgs over the magic number of 50, officially locking up the biggest beatdown in the game’s history for the good guys.

If you weren’t in Bobby Dodd Saturday, it was probably the funniest sequence you’ll ever see.

Go Dawgs! We Run This State!

WATCH: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp hands trophy to UGA football

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp hands Governor’s Cup back to the Bulldogs Saturday at Georgia Tech

The Georgia Bulldogs won their third straight game over Georgia Tech Saturday, to bring the Governor’s Cup back to Athens for at least another year.

Governor Brian Kemp, a Bulldog grad and longtime fan, had the privilege of presenting the trophy to Georgia for the first time in Atlanta.

Take a look.

Sure, there might be more to play for next week, but this is still pretty awesome. Enjoy the journey, right?

Former Alabama football player believes in the Bulldogs

Former Alabama Crimson Tide football player believes in the Bulldogs this year

Auburn officially eliminated Alabama from the College Football Playoff race on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean all is doom and gloom amongst the Crimson Tide fanbase.

After the game, former Alabama linebacker and current Washington Redskin Shaun Dion Hamilton made a bold prediction, which actually respects the Bulldogs.

Take a look.

I’m sure Coach Smart won’t want to read this for a while, but it sure does bring some confidence to the fanbase after seeing Joe Burrow and the Tigers light up Texas A&M Saturday.

Can the Dawgs’ daunting defense shut down mighty LSU? We’ll see.

Brian Herrien celebrates beating Georgia Tech the right way, with class

Georgia football running back Brian Herrien celebrates beating Georgia Tech the right way, with class

Brian Herrien, the senior running back who’s done everything right in Athens, went out on top against the Yellow Jackets Saturday.

Not only did Herrien finish his Bulldog career 3-1 against Tech, but also the classiest player on either side of the rivalry behind the scenes.

When everyone else was boarded up on the buses to head back to Athens, Herrien stayed as long as he could at the gates, smiling and taking pictures for fans after scoring a touchdown earlier in the game.

The former three-star from Douglasville had just celebrated beating Tech on the field and was forced to get on the bus, after making young fans’ days for several minutes at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

However this season ends, we’ll always be grateful for Brian Herrien and are grateful he is a Dawg!
