Georgia football flips UCLA commit, 4-star RB

UGA flips four-star running back Roderick Robinson, who was previously committed to the UCLA Bruins.

The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from four-star running back Roderick Robinson, who was previously committed to the UCLA Bruins.

The Bulldogs offered Robinson a scholarship on May 17, 2022. The Dawgs entered into the mix for Robinson late, but Kirby Smart and company did not give up.

Robinson visited the University of Georgia for the Auburn game. He had to be impressed with the environment in Athens compared to UCLA’s sparsely full stadium. Robinson’s visit helped give him the confidence to commit to the Bulldogs.

The four-star running back’s decision is tough news for UCLA, who now has just six commitments in the class of 2023. Roderick Robinson was UCLA’s highest-ranked commit.

The Bruins are off to an excellent start to the 2022 college football season. However, that has not resulted in success on the recruiting trail. UCLA and head coach Chip Kelly has the No. 80 recruiting class in the country.

Robinson is considered the No. 15 running back in the country and No. 18 recruit in California per 247Sports. The four-star is the No. 270 recruit in the country.

Robinson plays high school football for Lincoln High School in San Diego, California.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound running back was also considering the Texas A&M Aggies. He announced his decision to flip his commitment via Twitter:

Robinson mentions that he is shutting down his recruitment. The Lincoln standout is Georgia’s first commitment from a running back in the class of 2023. Georgia has 21 total commitments in the class of 2023 and the No. 2 recruiting class in the country.

UGA football in top group for 5-star RB

UGA football in top group for 5-star RB Richard Young

The Georgia Bulldogs have cracked Richard Young’s list of top schools. Young is the top-ranked running back recruit in the class of 2023.

Young plays for Lehigh Senior High School in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He is a five-star prospect with good size. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back is the No. 17 prospect in the class of 2023.

Young excels in the classroom in addition to being a standout for Lehigh Senior. He has to love the tradition of running backs at Georgia.

The elite running back has visited Florida, Clemson, Ohio State, FSU and Alabama this summer. He has scholarship offers from most of the top college football programs in the country.

Here’s a photo from Young’s visit to Athens this June:

The five-star running back named his top 10 schools via his Twitter account:

Richard Young ranks Miami, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Oregon, Oklahoma and USC in his top 10. Where will Young play college football?

UGA football among top six for 4-star RB Tevin White

The Georgia Bulldogs, Penn State, and more are among the top six for 4-star running back Tevin White, who plays for North Stafford HS.

The Georgia Bulldogs and a pair of SEC schools are competing to land the talented running back Tevin White. White plays high school football for North Stafford High School in Stafford, Virginia. He’s a member of the class of 2022, so he’s a junior in high school.

White will have a year to decide on his commitment, but is already confident in six schools: UGA, Arizona, Penn State, Duke, Tennessee, and Arizona State. White announced his top six schools via his Twitter account:

White is currently favored to attend Penn State, but you can never count the Georgia Bulldogs out in recruiting, especially when it comes to running backs.

Kirby Smart and UGA have two commitments in the class of 2022. One, C.J. Washington, plays inside linebacker, and the other, Marquis Groves-Killebrew, is a defensive back. The Dawgs have a long way to go in the class of 2022.

Fans should anticipate Georgia taking in one or two running backs in the class of 2022. This will depend on when players like Zamir White, James Cook, and Kenny McIntosh declare for the NFL Draft.

Tevin White is six-foot-one, weighs 205 pounds, and runs a 4.49 forty yard dash. At the moment, he’s received 18 college football scholarship offers.
