Kickoff time, TV set for Georgia vs Vanderbilt.

Georgia will face Vanderbilt on Saturday, September 25 from Nashville.

The SEC announced the game will kickoff at 12PM ET and will air on the SEC Network.

This will be the first the two schools have met on the gridiron since the 2019 opener. Last year’s game was postponed due to COVID before eventually being canceled altogether.

Georgia leads the all-time series against Vanderbilt 58-20-2.

Since 1995, Georgia has won 22 of the 25 games played.

This is just wild now.

Stetson Bennett now has thrown for four touchdowns with only five passes thrown.

The passer is 5/5 for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns and just put UGA up 28-0 over UAB with a 61 yard pass to Arian Smith.

Bennett has now thrown 4 TDs to 4 different receivers.

Wow! How about that?

After taking Stetson Bennett for a drive to give Carson Beck a chance (he handed it off three times), Bennett checked back in and immediately threw an 88 yard touchdown.

Bennett his true freshman Brock Bowers for the score, giving the Dawgs a 21-0 lead.

Bennett’s stats right now are nuts: 4/4 passing, 184 yards, 3 TDs

Stetson Bennett announced as Georgia’s starting QB vs UAB

Stetson Bennett announced as starting QB

With JT Daniels nursing a minor oblique injury, Georgia will turn to a former starter to lead the Dawgs on Saturday against UAB.

UGA announced that Stetson Bennett will start at quarterback rather than redshirt freshman Carson Beck, who many expected to get the nod.

Bennett started five games for the Dawgs in 2020. Bennett had some up and down performances. He was a steadying presence in Georgia’s season opener against Arkansas.

Last year, Bennett completed 55% of his passes. Bennett contributed 10 total touchdowns and threw six interceptions. He threw for 1,179 passing yards on the season and looked particularly sharp against the Auburn Tigers.

Bennett arrived in Athens as a lightly recruited three-star prospect. He redshirted in 2017, while playing scout team quarterback. He then transferred to Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi. He helped Jones County win their conference, scoring 20 total touchdowns and accumulating almost 2,000 total yards in the process.

Following his junior college season, Bennett transferred back to the University of Georgia and enrolled for the spring semester of 2019.

Georgia vs UAB: Score, stats predictions

Score and stat predictions for UGA football players for today’s Georgia vs UAB game.

No. 2 Georgia takes on UAB today in its home-opener.

The Bulldogs are fresh off a 10-3 win over Clemson, and UAB over Jacksonville State.

UAB has had an 11 day break since its cupcake win over Jacksonville State compared to Georgia’s seven day break after an absolute slugfest against Clemson.

Georgia should obviously win this game, but I do expect it to be a little bit closer than most anticipate. UAB is legit – the Blazers have won its division three straight years and the CUSA title two out of those three years.

Georgia will likely be playing without quarterback JT Daniels, so the Dawgs will already be at a disadvantage.

With all that mind, here’s our score and stats predictions for the game:

Score: Georgia wins 41-3

OFFENSE:

QB Carson Beck stats — if he starts: 19/28, 242 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT

QB Stetson Bennet stats — if he starts: 16/24, 234 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs

RB Zamir White: 14 carries, 112 yards, 1 TD

RB Kendall Milton: 11 carries, 79 yards, 1 TD

RB Kenny McIntosh: 7 carries, 41 yards

RB James Cook: 4 carries, 12 yards. 3 catches, 42 yards, 1 TD

WR Jermaine Burton: 6 catches, 77 yards, 2 TDs

TE Brock Bowers: 3 catches, 33 yards

Offensive MVP: Zamir White
