Rebecca Black roasted the Oakland A’s after they tweeted a joke about her song ‘Friday’

The Oakland A’s are not looking forward to the weekend anymore.

Things are not going well for the Oakland A’s outside of the dugout.

While the A’s recently posted a seven-game win streak, the team’s possible move to Las Vegas has the baseball world hoping A’s management will sell the team and keep it in Oakland.

A’s fans recently held a reverse boycott to protest the possible move, and it worked out as droves of Oakland fans showed up to voice their displeasure.

While nobody has any ill feelings going to the players, the franchise itself is going to continue to catch flak for a possible move to Vegas until it doesn’t happen.

Even 2011’s viral sensation Rebecca Black (of “Friday” fame) isn’t letting the team off easy without some serious trolling.

Yes, the pop singer’s viral song got mentioned by Oakland’s Twitter account ahead of a Friday stand against the Philadelphia Phillies.

“Gotta get down on Phriday – Rebecca Black’s cousin who is from Philly,” the tweet read, but there was one problem.

Black responded that she doesn’t have a cousin in Philly, and that she thinks management should sell the team. Yikes.

If you had to put your computer down from the heat of that response to such a silly tweet, then you are picking up on how upset people are with A’s management right now.

Black (and her imaginary Philly cousin) have joined many folks in wanting the A’s to stay right where they are with a franchise sell. The team is going to have to be careful which pop culture jokes they make on future tweets.

You never know who will reply.

Friday injury report for Chiefs vs. Eagles, Super Bowl LVII bye week

Our third injury reports for the Super Bowl LVII bye week from the #Chiefs and #Eagles:

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have released their third injury reports ahead of Super Bowl LVII during the bye week. Kansas City had its most intensive practice of the week, while Philadelphia held its first non-walkthrough practice of the week. The first injury report for next week will come on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Here’s a look at the most recent injury reports for both teams down below:

WATCH: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes throwing passes in Friday practice

Reporters got a chance to see #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes throwing some passes during practice on Friday.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is practicing for the third consecutive day on Friday following his high ankle sprain suffered in the AFC divisional round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Mahomes has been participating in full and doing everything possible in practice this week to prepare his body for the game. He doesn’t seem any worse for wear after the injury and the full practice week doesn’t appear to have any ill effects either.

In another brief portion of practice open to media members, NFL Network’s James Palmer said reporters got a chance to watch just a few passes thrown by Patrick Mahomes. Palmer shared all three of those passes on Twitter.

Check it out:

Again, Mahomes cautioned yesterday about trying to learn too much from a video of him walking around or warming up practice. He feels that even he won’t fully comprehend how much the injury will limit him during the game until he gets on the field at Arrowhead Stadium and takes that first snap against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

That said, it’s hard not to feel a little optimistic with all of the comments and videos coming out of Kansas City this week. It’s reasonable to head into this game believing that this injury won’t hinder him as much as one might come to expect when one hears the words, “high ankle sprain.”

FINAL betting odds for Florida vs Georgia, per BetMGM

The Gators entered the week a 4.5-point underdog but that has now shrunk to under a field goal while the over/under continues to grow.

[jwplayer QYF1qrVM]

The big game is nearly upon us as the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs prepare to take the field this afternoon to decide who is the best in the Southeastern Conference’s East Division. The winner of this game will likely represent the division in the SEC Championship Game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The odds have inched towards the Gators all week, who began Monday a 4.5-point underdog which shrunk to 3-points by yesterday. After it was reported late Friday that Georgia will be without preseason All-SEC wideout George Pickens, things are looking even better for UF.

BetMGM oddsmakers now list the Gators as a 2.5-point 3-point underdog (updated 1 p.m. EST), while the over/under has risen slightly again to 54.5.

Kicking off at 3:30 p.m. EST at Jacksonville’s TIAA Bank Field, the game will be broadcast on the SEC on CBS with Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson, and Jamie Erdahl on the call.

Report: Chiefs to reopen team facility following no positive COVID-19 tests

The Chiefs will be back at practice on Friday and more updates on their current COVID-19 situation.

There’s good news out of 1 Arrowhead Drive this morning after a hectic Thursday.

According to a new report from The Athletic’s Nate Taylor, the Kansas City Chiefs did not report any positive COVID-19 test results this morning. This comes a day after the team had to move up practice and shut down team facilities due to a positive test among an important member of their training staff.

The plan today is for things to look like a normal Friday for coaches, players and everyone in the building. The team is still set to play host to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

In addition to the positive test among the training staff, the Chiefs had placed DT Chris Jones on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday afternoon.

According to numerous reports, Jones didn’t test positive for COVID-19 but was identified as a close contact. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported last night that this close contact happened away from the team facility. What we don’t yet know is if Jones is considered a low-risk or high-risk close contact by the league. That will make all the difference in terms of his ability to play on Sunday against the Panthers. If he’s determined to be high-risk he’d be forced to stay on the COVID-19 list for a minimum of five days contingent on no positive test results.

The news this morning, however, is a good sign that the positive test that Kansas City had on Thursday is an isolated incident and not the beginning of a larger outbreak among the staff and players.
