New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers game recap: Everything we know

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers game recap: Final score, analysis, and everything we know after Week 3’s disappointing road loss

That was hard to watch. The New Orleans Saints (1-2) looked sloppy and unprepared in their Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers (1-2), leaving Charlotte with a loss and a lengthy injury report. They were outmuscled by a bad team and committed a lot of self-inflicted wounds, committing 3 turnovers and losing 58 yards on 7 penalties.

It was nasty. Let’s get into it.

Check out some of the best moments from Alabama win over Vanderbilt!

Alabama took on the Vanderbilt Commodores to open up conference play for the 2022 season and the Crimson Tide came out on top with a final score of 55-3.

Through four weeks of college football, Alabama is a perfect 4-0. This win came courtesy of the consistent high level of play from quarterback Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr., but others contributed in some major ways.

Now, the Crimson Tide’s focus will shift to Arkansas. The team will travel to Fayetteville for a top-25 showdown with SEC Championship implications.

FINAL: Alabama takes down Vanderbilt 55-3, improves to 4-0 on the season

The Crimson Tide stay undefeated after taking down Vanderbilt in Week 4!

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide football program improve to a perfect 4-0 on the 2022 season following a Week 4 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores at home to open conference play.

As expected, stars such as linebacker Will Anderson Jr. and Heisman-winning quarterback Bryce Young performed exceptionally well.

Young players and newcomers also had their fair share of the spotlight. Ja’Corey Brooks eclipsed over 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns with over 13 minutes left in the first half. Georgia Tech transfer running back Jahmyr Gibbs had a limited workload but made the most of his touches.

Jaguars 24, Colts 0: Jacksonville blows out AFC South rival

The Jaguars destroyed the Colts from start to finish Sunday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars blew the doors off the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in a 24-0 shutout victory.

The Colts have an odd history of losing road games against the Jaguars, but few expected this kind of domination in Week 2. Jacksonville intercepted Matt Ryan on the opening drive of the game, drove down the field for a touchdown drive on the ensuing possession, and never looked back.

With the victory, the Jaguars are now 1-1 and will be atop the AFC South standings if the Houston Texans are unable to win on the road against the Denver Broncos later Sunday.

Jaguars MVP of the game: Trevor Lawrence

If the Jaguars can get that kind of performance out of Lawrence on a weekly basis, they have a star on their hands. The 2021 No. 1 pick was efficient, made quick decisions, didn’t put the ball in much danger, and took a few chances down the field when they presented themselves.

Had Jamal Agnew managed to haul in a perfectly lofted deep ball just before halftime, it could’ve been an even bigger day for Lawrence.

Lawrence ended the game 25-of-30 passing for 235 yards with two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 121.5 passer rating.

Colts MVP of the game: Uhh… Grover Stewart?

The Indianapolis offense didn’t do anything and its defense couldn’t stop the Jaguars. The only thing that was even a little difficult for Jacksonville was running the ball, mostly because defensive tackle Grover Stewart was giving rookie center Luke Fortner problems.

Jaguars play of the game: James Robinson’s 37-yard touchdown run

For the most part, the Jaguars dinked and dunked up and down the field with short and intermediate pass plays. They also didn’t find much running room outside of Robinson’s breakaway run for a 37-yard touchdown, the longest of his career.

It was over when: the Jaguars ate up the third quarter with a 12-play, 92-yard touchdown drive

A 17-0 lead at halftime felt awfully safe, especially after the Colts punted on their first drive of the second half. But the final nail in the coffin was the Jaguars’ dominating second half drive that lasted for more than half of the third quarter.

It ended with the Jaguars going for it on fourth-and-short near the goal line and Lawrence passing to Christian Kirk for his second touchdown of the day.

Stat that says it all: Jaguars five sacks, Colts zero sacks

There are plenty of stats to choose from in this one-sided box score. The total yards discrepancy, the four takeaways for the Jaguars, and Jacksonville more than doubling up the Colts in first downs all were easy choices for this too. But much of the game was defined by Matt Ryan getting hit over and over by the Jaguars pass rush, while Lawrence stayed clean all day.

Up next: The Jaguars will travel to play the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Jacksonville is 0-5 all-time in road games against the Chargers with four of those losses coming while the team was still in San Diego.

On Thursday, the Chargers lost to the Chiefs and quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a rib cartilage fracture. His status for Week 3 has not yet been determined.

Final score predictions for Week 2’s Saints vs. Buccaneers showdown

Final score predictions for Week 2’s Saints vs. Buccaneers showdown, via @RossJacksonNOLA, @DillySanders, @MaddyHudak_94, @KadeKistner, and @john_siglerr:

We’ve seen all sorts of final scores when the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet up. The Saints have won by 9-0. They’ve beaten the Bucs by 36-27. Other final tallies have climbed to 38-3, 34-23, and 34-17, all in New Orleans’ favor.

Is this where Tampa Bay turns it around, though? The Buccaneers ran it back with most of the starters they won a Super Bowl with not too long ago, upgrading a few key positions, and the Saints didn’t exactly look invincible in the season-opener with Atlanta. New Orleans has a lot to clean up and not much time to work with before Week 2’s kickoff.

Still, the Saints are the Saints and the Bucs are the Bucs. New Orleans has dominated this matchup over the years. They haven’t lost to Tampa Bay during the regular season since Week 1 way back in 2018. They have a formula for dealing with the challenges the Buccaneers propose, and the personnel to execute it.

Ravens vs. Steelers: Final score tracker and instant analysis

We’re here to give you the Ravens vs Steelers final score and instant analysis of each scoring drive so you know what happened in Week 12.

After three different delays, the Baltimore Ravens will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12. The Ravens will be without several key starters on both offense and defense, including quarterback Lamar Jackson and defensive end Calais Campbell.

They’ll still be looking to pull off an upset win over the currently undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. Not would a win in this game be massive considering the circumstances — 23 Ravens players went to the Reserve/COVID-19 list over the last 10 days — but it would do wonders for Baltimore’s playoff hopes.

Though with the game smack dab in the middle of the afternoon and rush hour traffic, you might not be able to watch it go down live. We’ve got you covered with the Ravens vs. Steelers final score and instant analysis of each and every scoring drive as they happen.

Five takeaways: What to make of Florida’s ugly win over Vanderbilt

UF came into the game heavily favored but Vandy came to the field ready to play, as the two battled it out on the gridiron in Nashville.

It didn’t come how most fans expected it would.

The Gators were 31.5-point favorites heading into their game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, but they were lucky to emerge with even a 21-point victory. Florida won an ugly game 38-17 and remained on track to win the SEC East, but ultimately, the game created more questions than it answered.

UF led by just 14 at the half, and what should have been a flashy exhibition against an inferior team was in actuality a competitive game well into the second half. Even in the fourth quarter, the Commodores were nearing the red zone trying to cut the Florida lead to seven when the Gators made a timely stop and forced a punt.

UF clearly has some work to do. Here are our five takeaways from Saturday’s game.

Here are five takeaways from Florida’s big win over Arkansas

Florida Gators football’s offense is a juggernaut that is to be taken seriously, especially Heisman Trophy hopeful quarterback Kyle Trask.

The Gators cracked 60 points on Saturday night as their offense once again delivered a gem of a performance, this time against Arkansas. With former UF quarterback Feleipe Franks starting for the Razorbacks, the Gators avoided a letdown against UA, blowing by it by a score of 63-35.

Quarterback Kyle Trask made another Heisman statement, and Florida is one step closer to clinching the SEC East and a trip to the SEC Championship in Atlanta next month.

With the beating of the Razorbacks behind it, here are five takeaways for Florida following the game.

Ravens vs. Colts: Final score tracker and instant analysis for Week 9

The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts square off in Week 9 to not only determine the winner this week but alter the playoff landscape.

The Baltimore Ravens take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. It’s a game that not only means a lot for this week but for the potential future as well, making it a must-win game for both teams.

Both the Ravens and Colts enter this week at 5-2 and right next to each other in the AFC playoff picture. A win over this week’s opponent will not only push one team to 6-2, it’ll also sinch up a tiebreaker possibility that could have pretty massive playoff implications come January. A win today would also do wonders for either team in answering some lingering questions.

Keep it tuned here for instant analysis of each scoring drive as they happen so you know what went down off the scoreboard too.

Gators Wire Predictions: Will Florida be able to beat Georgia this year?

Florida comes into the game a slight underdog but in reality should be able to pull the upset on Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Florida fans are understandably wary about this game.

The Gators haven’t earned a victory in the heated rivalry since 2016, and even with the strides the program has taken since Dan Mullen took the helm two years ago, it hasn’t been enough to overtake Georgia in the SEC East.

Until now.

I was wrong about this game last year. I thought Florida would beat the Bulldogs.

It didn’t. The Gators lost by seven, and the game wasn’t even that close in actuality. I underestimated how much the talent gap between the squads, especially in the trenches, would be apparent.

The same concerns still exist this time around, but this isn’t the same Georgia team as last year. Former quarterback Jake Fromm wasn’t elite, but he took care of the ball and prevented UF from swinging the momentum in its favor last year.

Now, that position is a point of concern. Stetson Bennett, who took over the starting role midway through the season opener, has been mistake-prone, and the Georgia offense has struggled in turn.

Meanwhile, Florida’s offense is among the best in the country. Quarterback Kyle Trask is in the running for the Heisman Trophy, and he’s leading a unit that’s just about unstoppable right now.

He faces a Bulldogs defense that will be shorthanded, including the absence of star safety Richard Lecounte. With him out, Georgia’s defense may be on its heels all game.

The only thing holding the Gators back at the moment is their defense, but there’s reason to be optimistic on that front. Last week, even without three starters in the secondary, Florida’s defense took a major step forward.

It held Missouri to 248 yards of offense and three offensive points until garbage time. If that trend continues, it could be a long afternoon for Georgia.

The Bulldogs still have a talent advantage, but that gap gets slimmer and slimmer by the year. In 2020, with the quarterback situation in flux, Florida has a chance to assert itself as the premier team in the SEC East.

It will take a similar defensive performance to what UF saw last week, but the Gators end their three-game losing streak in the series.

Prediction: Florida 35, Georgia 27
