How to watch and stream the UFL championship game on Father’s Day

The San Antonio Brahmas (8-3) will face the Birmingham Stallions (10-1) in the UFL championship game this afternoon. Here’s how to watch.

The San Antonio Brahmas (8-3) will face the Birmingham Stallions (10-1) in the United Football League’s 2024 championship game at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis on Sunday, June 16.

The UFL championship game will be nationally televised on Fox and available to stream on fuboTV (try it free). Kickoff for the UFL title game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. MT (5:00 p.m. ET).

Twenty-three former Denver Broncos players suited up in the UFL this season and seven of them have reached the championship game. Meanwhile, the Brahmas are coached by Wade Phillips, who won Super Bowl 50 as a defensive coordinator with the Broncos in 2015.

Phillips’ squad includes tight end Cody Latimer, who was a rotational receiver in Denver when the Broncos won the Super Bowl in 2015. Latimer has hauled in 36 receptions for 391 yards and one touchdown this season.

After the UFL season wraps up on Sunday, players can begin signing with NFL teams as early as Monday. Last year, 92 players were signed following the USFL and XFL seasons (those leagues have since merged to form the UFL).

Two years ago, Denver signed long snapper Mitchell Fraboni after he stood out in the USFL. Fraboni remains the team’s long snapper going into the 2024 campaign. We’ll see if the Broncos land any more spring football talent after the UFL season concludes this weekend.

WATCH: Nick Saban hilariously spends Father’s Day boxing in virtual reality

Watch Nick Saban hilariously spend Father’s Day boxing in virtual reality

From all of us at Roll Tide Wire, we hope everyone had a safe and pleasant Father’s Day weekend just as Alabama head football coach [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] did. Early Monday morning, Coach Saban’s daughter, Kristen, released a hilarious video of Saban from Father’s Day where he is seen competing in a boxing match via virtual reality, and let me tell you, Coach Saban’s jab is no joke.

The media often sees the short and cynical sides of Nick Saban at halftime interviews and post-game press conferences, but never let anyone tell you that he doesn’t have a fun and childish side to him, as well. As soon as the clip hit the internet, it went viral with everyone wanting to see what the seven-time national champion is really made of. As Coach Saban always says, they just don’t make ’em like they used to.

Below, are the internet’s best reactions to the video.

Happy Father’s Day: Greg Schiano believes being a father is ‘truly a blessing’

Greg Schiano talks about fatherhood.

BEDMINSTER, N.J. — For Greg Schiano, the meaning of Sunday being Father’s Day is not lost on the Rutgers football head coach. It is especially meaningful these days for Schiano, as he sees many of his former players now embracing the role of being a father in their own lives.

Players who have suited-up for Schiano have consistently spoken of him as being not just a coach or a mentor or even a role model, but also being a father figure. The significance of seeing his first generation of players at Rutgers grow into fathers is not lost on Schiano when asked about it last week.

Speaking to the media during the Greg Schiano Charity Golf Classic, the Rutgers head coach was asked about Sunday being Father’s Day. In particular, what it meant to him to see so many of his former players from his first coaching stint at Rutgers now tackling the roles and responsibilities of being fathers themselves.

“It’s really cool,” Schiano said on Monday night.

Some of them have teenagers or later in the teens – like I’m recruiting their sons, which makes me feel a little bit funny. But now it’s really cool. And you know, you’ve got guys like Scotty Vaallone (former Rutgers defensive lineman, now an offensive assistant on the coaching staff) as a family..who’s on our staff. (that)I see that every day, right? I watch Andy Aurich (tight ends coach) who coached for us three times. And now he’s got three little kids.

“To me, that’s awesome. I have four of my own and you know, as I know, there’s no love like the one you have for your children. So to see my players and my staff and even myself have that opportunity is truly a blessing.”

Schiano’s annual golf outing benefited Chop4Change, Athletes in Action and the Robert E. “Bob” Mulcahy Football Scholarship Fund. It was held at Fiddler’s Elbow.

An adorable Father’s Day video shows Nick Castellanos and his son Liam enjoying a day at a game together

What a heartwarming father moment for Nick Castellanos and his son.

On the field, one-time All-Star Nick Castellanos is known for mashing dingers and being an integral part of the Philadelphia Phillies’ lineup. Off the field, he’s a great dad, especially in trying to teach his son Liam the game.

A new Father’s Day video from MLB shows the heartwarming lengths Castellanos takes in leaving the ladder behind for his family.

It ranges from Castellanos having his son on the field during warmups and the Phillies outfielder discussing his personal batting process to a beautiful closing note from Liam wishing his dad the happiest of Father’s Days at the stadium. (Note: With minimal footage of the opponent, it’s unclear when this game and these warmups took place.)

Overall the video is a perfect reminder that being a dad always comes first before being a ballplayer.

If this clip doesn’t capture what Father’s Day is about — celebrating all the tremendous patriarchs in our lives – then I don’t know what does. Here’s a hearty shoutout to Castellanos and his family for providing this excellent example.

BELMONT, Mich. — The Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give has become a staple on the LPGA.

This weekend is the ninth edition of the tournament at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan, just outside Grand Rapids.

This weekend is also Father’s Day weekend, as it has been every year, giving the golfers a little more to reflect about in this tournament, led by Ayaka Furue at 11 under.

Winners like Brooke Henderson and Lexi Thompson have shared a little extra special moments with their fathers after winning, and some golfers like Chella Choi have their father as their caddie.

But it is a special weekend for fathers and daughters across the tour.

Here is what some of the top golfers said about their fathers:

Meijer LPGA Classic defending champion: Jennifer Kupcho, USA (9 under, 2 shots back)

“My dad has always been a big part of my life on and off the golf course, especially on the golf course. When I first came out, he caddied for me the first five events. To be able to play on Father’s Day, and last year to win, it is always fun.”

Amy Yang, Korea (10 under, 1 shot back)

“In Korea, we have Parents Day. My father and I are really close. He sacrificed a lot for me to improve my game. We moved to Australia (at 15), and he was traveling with me up until COVID hit. He has always been around, helping me, and it means a lot.”

Lindsey Weaver-Wright, USA (9 under, 2 shots back)

“It is awesome that we always play this tournament on Fathers’ Day. My dad got me into the game, so it is always important for me to play well this weekend, a little gift for him.”

Emily Kristine Petersen, Denmark (9 under, 2 shots back)

“My dad has meant so much. I started traveling at the age of 12 and he was a partner in a law firm. He kind of went on his own so he could travel with me so I could pursue my dream even back then. It has meant the world to me. I definitely wouldn’t be here without my dad – or my mom – but my dad traveled with me a lot when I was younger.”
